About the property

Private-house like duplex in BIALIK-5' walk from beach/Shuk HaCarmel/Rothschild

This boutique duplex is located in the heart of the historical Bauhaus and Israeli art village-like BIALIK neighborhood, at the corner of BIALIK square. Ideally at the crossroad of the history/beach/nightlife facets of the white city, it will enable you to fully appreciate all the charms and mysteries of Tel Aviv. Just at a 5-minute walking distance from the beach, it is also around the corner of some of the most popular beating hearts of the city (Shuk HaCarmel, Neve Tsedeq, Rothschild bld, etc. ), you will have a chance to experience the most popular open markets, museums (Beit Ha’ir - former City Hall, Ruben Museum, Bialik house etc.), ethnic restaurants (Yemenite area) as well as the finest and trendiest nightlife spots.

The duplex was recently fully renovated (2015). All efforts have been made to preserve as many of the home's original components as possible in the renovation: decorative flooring, high ceilings, mezzanine, etc. The renovation resulted in a perfect combination of authenticity and contemporary, and created the sense of a private house.

On the 3rd floor (no elevator), the duplex (110 sqm) comprises 1 living room, 1 mezzanine TV salon, 3 bedrooms (1 suite with double bed and bathroom, 1 with double bed and 1 with 2 pull-out beds) and 2 bathrooms.

Fully equipped kitchen opening onto the living room, cable TV, Wifi, Nespresso machine, laundry washing machine and dryer. Sheets and towels are provided.

Exceptional access to the city’s public transportation services (Allenby) and self-service bicycle rentals with a station around the corner. Public watched car park nearby (200m, +/- 50ILS/24h).

Notes:
Bialik Street : it is a village-like neighborhood, representing Tel Aviv architecture from the 1920s on, with examples of Art Deco and eclecticism, but also with a strong presence of 'white architecture'. It has been declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. The buildings reflect influences from the Bauhaus, Le Corbusier and Erich Mendelsohn. Nahalat Binyamin Market & Fair : it is one of the most popular open air pedestrian mall areas. The stores and booths in the market are an ideal place to find gifts, souvenirs, arts & crafts, jewelry, Judaica etc. In addition, you'll often find the area filled with musicians, clowns and street theater performances, especially on Friday afternoons. Shuk HaCarmel market : it is an experience you shouldn't miss, especially if you think you have bargaining skills! You'll also find corners where you can stop for an espresso break like at the Coffee Lab at HaCarmel 21, corner of Rabbi Meir 42, or perhaps have Humus at Hacarmel 11.

Reality meets expectations

The place is perfect. Exactly as described. Very clean. Both hosts made us feel more than welcome. I would rent this place again any time back in Israel.

Great Place Great Hosts

  • 5 of 5

Everything with the apartment was fine. We (3 guys) didnt really use the upstairs area but with kids its probably handy to have it. The mattress in the single room is not very comfortable its something that could easily be fixed. Other than that it has a great location and its a good spot to discover Tel Aviv from. And the place was spotlessly clean!

Trip of a lifetime

  • 5 of 5

If you are going to Tel Aviv you should rent this property! I can't say enough good things about the place or the owners. The pictures are 100% accurate. Everything you could need is there. Claude and Carole are some of the warmest and most welcoming people you will ever meet.

Beautiful, comfortable, and clean with great hosts

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed in Claude and Carole's bright, spacious apartment for three weeks in February and had a wonderful time. Travelling were my husband and I, out two young children, and my mother. The hosts were attentive and the space was perfect- sunny, spacious, and clean.

Claude was a terrific host, walking us around the neighborhood to show us a nearby park and playground and other local sights. He greeted us upon arrival and departure and helped us carry millions of bags. The clean kitchen was even stocked with a few fresh essentials like bread, butter, juice, and bottled water, which was very welcome after a long journey with small children. Claude oriented us with an area map, recommending a great fish market, kosher restaurants, and local sights. Upon request, he provided a booster seat and ping-pong paddles (for the park). He even thought to leave us a few beach buckets and other toys for the kids. Throughout our stay, we had just one question - about the dryer - and Claude replied promptly and followed up again to make sure that we had sorted it out. Having a reliable, caring landlord made a big difference in the quality of our visit.

The apartment itself is just as pictured - bright, spacious, immaculate. The twin bed has a sweet trundle, which made the room perfect for our two little kids. The other two bedrooms are also very comfortable and met our needs perfectly. Each bedroom has substantial closet space and even shoe storage. All of the closets, dressers, and nightstands are clean and empty, which really made it feel like OUR apartment and not like we were sleeping in someone else's. The living space was neat and comfortable, and our kids had a great time playing games in the loft. The whole apartment was comfortably decorated and furnished. By that I mean that there are lights where you want to read, nightstands where you want to set your book with drawers where you want to store your pajamas, doors that close neatly and don't creak (a great advantage when sneaking out of toddler's bedroom), heaters in every room, and empty drawer space when you need it. It is a very comfortable, livable space.

Finally, I want to emphasize the apartment's cleanliness. The apartment was VERY CLEAN: the kitchen, the bathroom, and the floors. The bathtub grouting had no mildew, which was important to us because of the kids. This apartment has no gross-factor. Even the kitchen garbage pail was white and immaculate.

Thank you for a great stay!

Perfect family getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this apartment during our time in Tel Aviv. The newly renovated apartment was bright, clean and very well located--close to the beach, the market (Shuk HaCarmel) and Neve Tzedek.Though the area was filled with activity, the apartment was quiet at night and great for sleeping. There are air conditioning units in each room so that each individual can set them to their own comfort level. The washer/dryer and iron came in handy. We came with our sons and their spouses; the open, bright living room and dining area enabled us to be together without feeling closed in. The kitchen was equipped with dishes and appliances that made eating breakfast or lunch at the apartment very easy. Claude suggested parking our car at a nearby lot (street parking is next to impossible), which worked very well for us. He also helped with info regarding nearby markets and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this apartment.
