New England in the winter is wonderful. The view is amazing from your home. We have enjoyed exploring the area with all it's beauty, the clear sky at night is with all the stars and blue skies in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to come back.

Beautiful and well cared for property

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay! The kitchen was full of everything needed. The wifi worked perfect. There was plenty of room in the living areas and the bedrooms were comfortable. There was plenty of extra blankets and pillows. I will be booking for next year! Thank you!

Beautiful view - Survived a nor-easter

  • 4 of 5

We spent a week at this condo in late October. The weather was gorgeous then we weathered an incredible nor-easter storm and then it was beautiful again. This place was excellent for us as a couple of kayakers we were able to launch our boats only steps away. Just to the right of the parking area, there are some steps down to the beach to get around the seawall which protects the house. In the storm the waves were hitting the top of the wall and sending seaweed over the top. Kayaking over to Wallis Sands is not far but it is rocky so must watch the tides. There is a hose on the side of the house to hose down wetsuits and sandy boats which was useful. We went to Portsmouth for a few hours which was cute, and along the way a walk in Odiorne Park where you can see the wartime gunner positions and old oak trees. We enjoyed our trip so much, and cooked every night with our groceries from Philbrick's. Nancy was easy to deal with by email.

The only negative was that the place was not very clean. Maybe this was because it was the off-season but I was expecting hotel cleanliness and it was more like airbnb with earwigs, hairs, and dust. Though at the reasonable off-season prices, I don't find this warrants removing multiple stars, however I would not stay here in the high season. Another reviewer called this an exclusive community, but as you drive in and see the missing letters from "The Breakers" sign, you know that this is an aging set of condos with a fantastic location. The white garbage boxes outside are rotting through and are riddled with loose trash that is never cleaned. The condo itself is dated, though mostly on the sleeping level down below.

For me, one sunrise over the water with coffee in hand, put all these little things to rest.

Owner's Response: Due to the severe damage to the grounds from storms last year, owners had to focus on rebuilding the seawall to prevent future losses .Other areas of damage are currently being addressed.

Oceanfront between Odiorne Point & Wallis Sands!

  • 5 of 5

This meticulously cared for home is located in one of the desirable places along all of the New Hampshire coastline. "The Breakers" are an exclusive community of oceanfront homes located on the only street (a quiet horseshoe drive that cradles a private duckpond) on the ocean side of Ocean Blvd. between Odiorne Point State Park and Wallis Sands State Beach. This rental is one of those few homes that make up "The Breakers" and is right on the waterfront of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a peaceful and rare undisturbed portion of New Hampshire's seacoast with breathtaking views of sunrises over the ocean and the mesmerizing Isles of Shoals. Not only that, but because of it's rare location, it is only a short drive to downtown Portsmouth, a historical and upscale yet happening New England seaport city where there are an abundance of shops, restaurants, and forms of entertainment, in case one ever feels like leaving blissful serenity for just the right amount of cultured liveliness. I have had the pleasure of renting this home multiple times. I absolutely love the place!
