About Terry Kaiser

Hola, I have lived in Baja off and on since I was a child. My parents retired to this area 40 years. I was one of the first Americans to visit and build in La Ventana I was lucky enough to be able to pick the perfect beach front location for my home. The Dunes is located on one of the nicest sandy beaches in the entire area. My son Miggie was born in La Ventana in 1997 so if you have kids please don't hesitate to call me for information. The house is kid and baby safe. The entire home is surrounded in patios with the most amazing views! This is a home that was lived in year round and because of that is decorated with beautiful artwork and furniture that is extremely comfortable. You won't find white walls and rock hard couches and chairs. Please feel free to call and chat, I would love to tell you all about La Ventana and the surrounding areas. By the way I have a couple of beach front lots and views lots for sale so please ask for the details. Hasta pronto

Couldn't ask for anything more.

  • 5 of 5

Five longtime girlfriends landed at The Dunes & we really couldn't of asked for anything more. Such a cozy, beautiful home, with a ridiculously stunning view. We were just down the street (short drive) from restaurants & a great grocery & paddle board rentals & boat rentals. We were checked on when we needed water or any necessities replenished & the house was stocked with all the basics for cooking & coffee & extra bedding & towels, etc. We were all so grateful we ended up in La Ventana & The Dunes specifically. We'll definitely be back. So easy, so cozy, so beautiful.

Great relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful, it is right on the beach, just walk down the stairs and jump in the water!

We were a group of 8, 4 adults and 4 kids (5-9), we stayed at Terry's place for one week over the 4th of July week. We flew from San Diego, actually Tijuana airport, we used Uber to get to the CBX bridge crossing which worked very well. Several lines to get tickets, security, immigration, check bags, security and then to the gate. We gave ourselves 2.5 hours and that was enough time but we were a little stressed towards the end.

It was low season so the beach was ours (only a handful of other people could be seen throughout the day). The negative of the low season is that it was hot (95F) and most of the restaurants were closed.

We spent the mornings swimming, snorkeling and enjoying the house. In front of the house there is a reef so we usually went down the beach 100 feet to an area where there is no reef to swim. The reef has a lot of animal life, we saw lots of fish, manta, eels, starfish, puffer fish, etc. We usually went for lunch out in town (we liked Los Palmas) then spent the early afternoon in the shade. We also spent a lot of time at the pool (short walk away).

There is a grocery store nearby with the basics, we ate mostly salsa, guac., and mangos, Pacifico and margaritas. We had stopped in Walmart near the airport for some basics, including a foam cool that was very useful (i would also suggest bringing some good beer koozies).

We went to a nearby resort, Gran Sueño, about 40 minutes away. They let us use their pool and beach and beach toys (kayak, SUP, boogie boards) and they have a nice restaurant. I really loved this resort.

We took a fishing trip (Benni, our caretaker at Terry's house, organized for us). We caught a few dorado and were able to feed ourselves from that for several meals! There were a lot of manta ray jumping and we saw dolphins and other wildlife.

Overall, it was a very beautiful, quiet, laidback and affordable place to spend a week. Beni was great and Terry was very responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Best trip ever!

  • 5 of 5

My buddies and I just spent 10 days kiting, and biking in LV. The house was amazing, we

were blown away with the views! We had a cook come in most days for breakfast and dinner which

was fantastic, her cooking was great. We barely went out to dinner as we didn't want to leave

our place in Paradise. Terry, you are a great hostess, thank you so much for a fabulous

trip. We plan on coming back every year.

Beautiful ocean front home for kiting, snorkeling, beach combing, and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

The Dunes is a beautiful home with a beautiful view! It is close to a grocery store and an excellent fish market, as well as mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, and snorkeling. We drove to La Paz one day to swim with whale sharks, which was amazing! Beni and his wife Areyli made us some of the best meals we had on our trip, and provided great service! My husband and son enjoyed kiting from the beach in front of the house every day, as well as a couple of planned scuba trips. It was an all around wonderful place to stay, and my adult children both said this was the best beach house we have ever stayed in! My daughter also found the most colorful shells here she has ever seen! Thanks again, Terry!

Nice house, great location for kiting.

  • 5 of 5

The house was exactly as advertised. It is in a great location with easy access to groceries, and most of the restaurants if you want to go out. The kitchen was well equipped with sharp knifes. Comfortable beds, and the caretaker came by every day as well as his friend who sold fresh fruits and vegetables and some fresh Tamales. Good beach to kite from, just need to walk about 50 meters to miss reef but big wide beach for launching. My group all want to return as it was such a good location . the owner Terry was great to deal with which continues my very good luck using the VRBO and Homeaway rental sites.

Best house I have rented in the 6 years and 15 trips to LaVentana.
