About Denise

We moved here from Atlanta Georgia in 2002 after discovering it a few years earlier.

We just MADE IT HAPPEN! We traveled extensively all over the country and found this place to be the most beautiful place we have EVER been.

Denise purchased this house in 2005

Why Denise chose Central Coast California

The community of Cabrillo Estates is one of the only 3-4 hillside communities that is right at the edge of the pacific ocean in the central coast between Avila Beach and Monterey. It has the best

views comparably and is right around the corner from one of California's best kept secrets, Montana De Oro. We consider it our own 8000 acre back yard which has pristine beaches, miles of coastal bluff and mountain trails, tide pools and beautiful seasonal wild flowers. After being here for 6 years I am still amazed when I drive through the community and think to myself, is there anything more beautiful than this?

The location is very close to downtown Morro Bay and a short drive to San Luis Obispo, Pismo & Avila Beach to the south and Cayucos and Cambria to the North. It is also a short drive to over 250 wineries and all kinds of interesting events occurring all year throughout San Luis Obispo County.

What makes this house unique

The views, the views and the views! This spacious home is so convenient for families to enjoy togetherness yet individual space all under one roof. The house comes with everything our guests need to have a great vacation. From the oversupplied huge kitchen to a great supply of beds, linens, towels as well as wireless broadband internet, 4 cable tv's, a large pool table and piano in the 6th private sleeping room. You can sit in the kitchen at the large dining table and watch the deer and bunnies in the back yard which is framed by old towering eucalyptus trees presenting the awesome ocean and Morro Rock views. A moment to treasure. Oh and did I mention the views?

Beautiful view of Morro Bay coastline.

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a reunion for 13 people. Plenty of space. 5 bedrooms for the couples. There are trundle beds in 3 of the bedrooms, so if you have families with children, they can stay in the same room. The kitchen is spacious, fully equipped with cooking utensils/pots and pans for making large meals of soups, pasta dishes, casseroles, or any main dish. Activities within the house are: pool table, ping pong in the garage, lots of space for boardgames and charades, private reading areas, and a large backyard. Laundry facilities available on site. It had all the comforts of home, in a gorgeous setting. Beautiful hiking areas along the coast and in the hills. Our ages ranged from 11 years to 70, and everyone was thrilled with the property. The owner was very attentive to any questions or requests. Thank You, Denise!

High School Reunion Committee Gathering

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our high school class of 1967 reunion committee meeting. We arrived to find the home super clean with fresh roses on the kitchen table. Nice touch! Denise provides a very clear and concise binder which is a guide for the area and spells out everything we were expected to do during our stay. Everything about this home is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were sparkling clean and equipped with plenty of towels and supplies. We congregated in the kitchen most of the time. It's very large, has a dining table big enough to seat 8-12 people, and plenty of room to have multiple people cooking and preparing snacks and meals. We enjoyed the various rooms inside the home, which gave us lots of places to visit with each other, play cards, dice, or pool. Some of us even played the piano. The weather was great, so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the magnificent view of Morro Rock, Morro Bay, and the ocean. You can even hear the ocean from the back yard! It wasn't cold enough to use the fireplaces, but had we needed them, they would have been very nice and cozy. I highly recommend this home for friends and families who are looking for a great place to get together and enjoy the scenic community Los Osos, and its surrounding areas. I'm looking forward our next visit!

Beautiful Home for a Wonderful Family Gathering

  • 5 of 5

We gathered at this lovely home with 12 of our family in attendance. There was one baby, two 10 year old and and 9 adults. The home fit us perfectly and we couldn't have asked for a more comfortable or lovely place to stay. Denise is a marvelous owner who cares about her guests and wants to make sure all goes smoothly. She greeted us after we arrived, which was a good thing, so she could explain the heating, where equipment is stored and walked us through the huge kitchen. Make sure you have Denise do this as the kitchen is fully equipped but you need to know where everything is located. We loved the view and the quiet neighborhood. It is a wonderful place to walk but you need to walk up and down hills. The kitchen was the meeting place in the morning and we all enjoyed sharing cooking details. We were able to all sit around the dining room table which was great for our Thanksgiving dinner. The pool table was a hit with our family and there were plenty of games if needed. There is enough equipment for many little ones and we did appreciate having things available for our 6 month old great granddaughter so things did not have to be transported.

We are very familiar with this area as we have three Cal Poly grads in our family. So we hit our favorites; the hike up Black Mountain, night tour of Hearst Castle, walking around Morro Bay, downtown SLO, the pier and the downtown walking area in Avala Beach, animals at the farm on the campus of Cal Poly, and the Morro Bay State Park Museum. There is much, much more!! Don't miss Cambria, Pismo Beach, and Montana de Oro. We will try to come again soon. Thanks Denise.

Amazing View!

  • 5 of 5

Our blended family gets together every year to celebrate an early thanksgiving. This house was perfect for us all to be able to spend time together this past week. We gathered in the kitchen around the large counter cooking and preparing meals. There were lots of areas for games, quiet corners to chat, a wonderful back yard for the kids to play and all the while in front of us was the magnificent view. The house was very well stocked with beds and bedding, games, beach toys, baby gear. Denise was willing for us to call if we needed anything or had any questions. If we have a large group again we will certainly rent this house again!

Unbelievable view and plenty of space for a large family gathering

  • 5 of 5

Many times advertisements enhance or embellish the description of what they are selling. This is certainly NOT the case with this beautiful, spacious vacation home. In fact there were some features that were not even listed. We--grandma, grandpa, 5 adult children and 5 teen and up grandchildren--spent 4 spectacular days and 3 restful nights here. The home is large enough to meet anyone's need for some privacy if they so choose, or there are plenty of activities available if you want to socialize. Our group had a lively billiard competition among the guys and equally competitive ping pong challenges for all. The game room is well-stocked with games and toys for all ages.

The home is very nicely furnished throughout and very comfortable. However, we spent most of our time outdoors on the back patio. We ate all of our meals there--breakfasts and dinners. The kitchen is well stocked and it was easy to prepare meals. The only challenge was finding utensils--by the time I became accustomed to the location of things it was time to go home. Next time I will know where things are.

The trundle beds were a nice feature. My son and his two sons--17 and 20--slept in the upstairs nautical bedroom. Two of my granddaughters slept in the blue upstairs bedroom and were very comfortable because each had their own bed. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the master suite. Everyone wanted to use the Jacuzzi tub, but none of us did. We preferred to spend the time enjoying each other's company and the fresh sea air outdoors.

The indescribable view is another outstanding feature of this home. I enjoyed my morning coffee every day on the patio and basked in the beauty of the sunlight on Morro Bay and Morro Rock. We will definitely plan another stay here.

The owner, Denise, was very easy to work with and was very helpful in providing information about the area and suggestions of things to do.

Spacious and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 8 adults in their sixties spent a wonderful week at Villa Cabrillo. There were just the right number of bedrooms and bathrooms so that everyone was comfortable. The layout of the house met our needs as well...a T.V. room, a game room, and a quiet living room for the readers among us. We spent a great deal of our time cooking and eating in the kitchen while enjoying the spectacular view of "The Rock" and our many backyard visitors...2 bucks, a doe, her fawn, a kit fox, some rabbits, and a wild turkey. It is obvious that Denise takes great pride in her house and the comfort of her guests, from the quality and quantity of the towels and bed linens, to the kitchen that has absolutely everything you might need, to the cleanliness of every room, and the fresh bouquet of flowers waiting for us when we arrived.
