The Apartment is located in HESKETH CRESCENT within an elegant Grade2* listed VICTORIAN building, which is considered to be the best example of REGENCY-style architecture in the South West. It enjoys a private setting surrounded by 5 acres of landscape Gardens and yet, it's less than 5 minutes, by Car, or Bus, to the centre of TORQUAY.
The building benefits from it's elevated, uninterrupted panoramic views out to Sea, and is only 2 minutes walk to Meadfoot Beach. The Apartment also benefits greatly from this location, being on the second floor (Lift/Elevator available) with large picture windows in the Lounge looking directly out to Sea. BEAUTIFUL!!!
Within the grounds, there is a full size Tennis Court, Heated Swimming Pool with Sun Loungers, 9 Hole Putting Green, Table Tennis and a Childrens Play Area. There is also a Lounge /Terrace Area, which is serviced by the Hotels Brassiere, for Drinks, Light Meals and Snacks.
The location is ideally suited for those who wish to explore the local area, referred to as 'THE ENGLISH RIVIERA', or further afield. Locally you can visit, in addition to Torquay, Paington, Brixham, Dartmouth, Newton Abbot, Totnes and Babbacombe, or a little further away, you have the Cities of Plymouth and Exeter, and of course, you are in each reach of Dartmoor. Staying locally, you have a very good Bus service into Torquay and beyond. In Torquay you have numerous facilities including a Museum, Theatre, numerous Clubs, Pubs, Restaurants and Cafes, and, not forgetting the beautiful Marina where you can arrange Boat Trips. You also have numerous Childrens Fun attractions and a Zoo which is located in Paignton
Entering the Apartment, you will be pleasantly surprised with the generous space, 900 Square Feet, of accommodation. The high ceilings, neutral decoration, with contrasting furnishings, gives you a feeling of space and brightness. The Apartment has Central Heating throughout , this facility is included in your Rent, a charge is made for Electricity use, which is metered.
The Lounge/Dining Area, with the adjacent Kitchen, are very well equipped for up to 6 Guests, not forgetting the direct views out to Sea. Included in the range of furniture is a Sofa bed. A flat screen TV,DVD Player,WIFI, Radio/CD player and an Information Folder, which contains useful information on the Club facilities, is also available. In the Kitchen you will find Fridge, Cooker, Microwave, Cookware, Crockery and Glassware that is required for up to 6 Guests.
The main Bedroom has a Double Bed, 2 cabinets, 2 Wardrobes, Dressing Table and all the necessary Bedding. The second Bedroom has 2 Single Beds with Bedding etc. and a Double Wardrobe and Dressing Table. (A Double Sofa Bed is located in the Lounge)
Directly off the Hallway, there is a Cupboard for hanging Coats and Jackets etc. and also houses the Ironing Board and Iron. The Main, fully equipped Bathroom has Bath with shower over, Wash-hand Basin, Mirror, Toilet, Electric Shaver Point, and the necessary Towels for all 6 Guests. Also available is a separate Toilet with Wash-hand Basin, Mirror and Electric Shaver Point.
The Holiday Apartments are administered by The Osborne Club, the Office is located in House 5. Upon your arrival, you should visit the Office to check-in , from 2 pm, occupancy from 4 pm. You will be given the Key Card to the Apartment and also a Car Permit which allows you to park your Car in front of the building, this to be displayed on the inside of your windscreen, the space is not guaranteed, however, there is additional Parking Space at the rear of the building.
Check-in time on arrival is 2pm, occupancy from 4 pm., on departure, it is 10am. The Club is responsible for your Apartment throughout your stay, any assistance you may require, maintenance etc. you should contact the Club Office.
The Osborne Hotel, next door, is managed separately from the Club, however, Guests from the Club Apartments can enjoy full use of it's wide range of outstanding facilities. They include a fine-dining Restaurant, Brasserie, indoor and outdoor Swimming Pools, also, there is access to the fully equipped Gymnasium with State-of-the art equipment, Sauna and Solarium , these are available to Guests on a weekly or daily basis at an additional cost.
The Club and the Hotel operate a NO SMOKING & NO PETS Policy.
