This is not a condo but the apartment is on the top two floors of a privately owned classic Florida 3 story, 4 apartment beach house ,directly on the beach,with parking under. There are 2 full bedrooms with ample closet space, a fully equipped kitchen with outside gas or charcoal barbeques available, The owners live in the property but leave you to enjoy yourself are are not interfering or obtrusive, half way between Palm Beach and Orlando, easy access to turnpike and I 95, convenient shopping 1.5 miles on mainland, many excellent local restaurants, 15 minutes from Harbor Branch research facility, 5 minutes Smithsonian marine research , Harbour Isle and Ocean Village. Close to many excellent golf courses and tennis courts. Kitchen is open to living/ dining area and all have ocean views, living/kitchen and 2nd bedroom flooring is maple hardwood, .The living room has 16 feet of floor to ceiling glass looking at the beach and the master bedroom has 12 feet. The check out time is before 10am and check in is after 3pm.

: The owners live on the property and and have been renting it out for 21 years with many satisfied and repeat customers , they will be glad to help with any information about the area and can help with small errands and babysitting for permitted children, parking spaces under the building are provided, more by daily arrangement ,No pets,RVs or travel trailers. NO SMOKING anywhere on property including the grounds. This is a quiet building and loud or unruly behavior is not tolerated and will lead to eviction with no refunds.

FISHING,MUSEUMS AND TURTLE WATCHING There is excellent fishing on the Fort Pierce inlet jetty, from the beach in the surf and on the bay side of the island all within 10 minutes walk . There are also fishing guides on the mainland with bay boats, deep sea and drift fishing, the Smithsonian marine station with aquariums is 3 minutes drive located in the waterfront inlet park which also contains an excellent local museum, 20 minutes south on the island is the Elliot museum renowned for its Americana and auto collection and across the street from there is the Florida Oceanographic site with many aquariums and displays, The city of Stuart is 30 minutes south and Vero Beach 30 minutes north.The island is a world famous turtle nesting site and in nesting season(1 May through end October )there are usually several nests within 100 yards of the building,viewing the nesting turtles is subject to strict State of Florida guidelines but in the nesting season it is usually possible to see the turtles coming in to lay their eggs and also see the hatchlings going into the sea.

secluded beaches/rocket launches/farmers market: Hutchinson Island has miles of deserted beaches with no buildings of any kind,all within a few minutes drive.There is a great view of rocket launches from Cape Kennedy,really spectacular at night .The property owners have a stall with fresh ground and brewed coffee,tea and water at the historic downtown fort pierce farmers market on the waterfront every saturday morning and your rental includes free cups of coffee or tea at the market.

You are provided with a start up kit of toilet paper,paper towels,tea,coffee and basic cleaning materials and are expected to provde your own. Guests are expected to keep the unit clean and owners will deal with move out laundry and long term cleaning such as fans , windows ,floor polishing etc

we are a retired couple who have travelled extensively throughout the world.David was born in England and had a career in the Royal Navy followed by 20 years in the Carribbean and Kathy is a Coral Gables born Florida native we live full time in one of the apartments in the building

The beach drew us to buy this property and is keeping us here we have owned it since 1985 and have continuously rented to tenants. We do most of the maintenance ourselves and have a large network of local friends of very varied backgrounds,we have family spread across the world and have guests from overseas every year we have many repeat guests and do not open reservations for the following year's high season(dec through april) until may the previous year to give our repeats time to reserve, Our extended families often stay so come and meet them.

It was perfect for us!

My husband and I, with our two young children, stayed here for the week of Christmas to be near my sister and her family. The unit was clean, well-equipped, and just what we needed. There was no charge for use of the washer and dryer, beach chairs and towels available, and the kitchen was stocked with pretty much everything except groceries. David was friendly and accommodating; we emailed back and forth several times before our arrival and had no trouble finding the place or "checking in." The beach behind the house is very nice; very few people, very clean and lots of shells for collecting. We woke every morning to the sight of the sun rising over the ocean - lovely! The couch pulls out, so we were even able to have guests a couple of nights. The area around the place is fine; a few restaurants & bars, nice parks, and a little market nearby. The larger supermarket is a drive, but not far. We had a great time and hope to stay again sometime.

Owner's Response: The nearest Publix supermarketand CVS are exactly 4 miles away door to door with another Publix and Walmart a little further.We cannot guarantee that there will be shells on the beach as it depends on the direction of the wind and waves but there usually are at least some

great experiences over many years

We have stayed in this unit many times over the last 15 years and the Martins have always been most helpfull but not at all intrusive or disturbing our vacation in any way,This is a wonderfull location right on the beach with wonderfull views from the master bedroom and the living room .There are supermarkets off the island but not too far away,it is a good destination for going to Palm Beach,Cape Canaveral and Orlando.Miami is an easy drive to tri rail in West Palm Beach then a great train ride,2 hours to Miami Beach and Miami

Great Place to relax with Ocean Front Sunrises

We just returned from an awesome week oceanfront at this 4-plex.

The Owners live on site and are accomodating yet leave you to enjoy their paradise without any interruption.

If you are looking for a 5 star resort - go elsewhere. However, If you are looking for an old Florida, clean, private beach retreat - you have found it.

We enjoyed both the 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom accomodations with family for the weekend, and after all had left enjoyed the 2 bedroom for the rest of the week. Lots of sea shells and a beach virtually all to yourself.

This 4-plex has everything that you need and an ocean view and beach that are so awesome. We opened our eyes every morning to the sun rising over the ocean and listening to the roar of the waves. Again, not fancy, but clean and private with everythting you need.

Thanks again for an awesome vacation and for sharing your paradise with us.

This property is well located being 1.5 hours drive from Palm Beach, Orlando, Cape Kennedy Space Center, Melbourne and Sebring Int'l Raceway , 2 hours from Daytona and South Beach Miami. At the same time the Island is not at all developed with 20 miles of almost deserted beaches but convenient to major shopping areas on the mainland,good surfing at Sebastian and 1 mile away on North Beach,excellent wind surfing in a variety of close by areas depending on wind strength and direction.The Fort Pierce Inlet at the north end of the island is one of the best on the east coast of Florida and has 27' depth guaranteed with many marinas and boat repair facilities.

Other Activities: deap sea,river and beach fishing

Golf: There are many private,public and municipal golf courses within 20 minutes drive and we can provide you with access details.

Ski: Due to absence of snow in the area we regret that the only skiing available is water skiing.
