A true South Carolinian, Marcia is from Greenville SC and has been in the Charleston area for over 25 years! She began hospitality right out of college as the Front Desk night manager at the Waccamaw House in Litchfield, SC. She and her late husband, John, ran Sewee Coastal Methodist Retreat Center in Awendaw, on the Intercoastal waterway while raising their four children. Marcia joined the Beachside Team 2012.
1. Enjoys the peace and moss draped serenity of the walking trails in Palmetto Islands County Park. Palmetto Islands County Park is located in Mt. Pleasant and also offers the areas only water park in addition to miles of walking trails. 843-406-6950.
2. Walking the beach from Breaches’ Inlet to the opposite end of Sullivan’s Island at Charleston Harbor.
3. Sunset cruise on the Palmetto Breeze. The Palmetto Breeze is the ultimate sailing catamaran docked in Shem Creek. They offer dolphin sails, tours of the historic Charleston Harbor and sunset sails. 843-886-8133.
4. Kayaking the salt marshes and back creeks of the Intercoastal waterway . Coastal Expeditions offers tours from Isle of Palms Marina and Shem Creek 843-886-9590.

After 14 years vacationing on Sullivan Island 12 of those at 3109 Marshall my family can't wait to return. It is clean and in excellent shape. Our favorite things to do paddle boarding, firemen's fish fry with children's activities, farmers market, "Post" Poe's and other restaurants. Boone Plantation fresh food from their gardens, Middleton Place, Fort Moultrie, Eating at Shem Creek watching boats , dolphin's Visiting Charleston many wonderful restaurants, aquarium, carriage rides touring the town, historic homes, churches.
This is our second year renting 3109 Marshall and it was as good if not better than last year. We actually booked for 2017 while we were there. Everyone loves the house and the location. I have evaluated other properties but this one checks all the boxes for us. The view is superb and during low tide, we feel like it's our own private beach. During high tide it feels like we are on a cruise ship balcony as all you see are the waves crashing against the rocks.
This was our 2nd summer to enjoy this beautiful home for our family vacation, the first time to rent a beach house 2 years in a row. We came back because it's truly "As Good as it Gets". The house itself leaves nothing to be desired but the VIEW is simply STUNNING! We love the quiet, private-like beach area, but also being able to watch the kids from sitting up on the deck if necessary. The staff is super friendly & helpful if needed. We enjoyed the mid-week cleaning as well; a nice touch. We have enjoyed the quiet serenity of Sullivan's Island which has become our choice for beach rental near Charleston. Oh, and we have already reserved this property for next summer. Why look any further when this property is "As Good as it Gets"?
My 3 generational family was so excited about this home and its location! Months ago the teenagers had decided on room selection . One family arrived earlier than we did and quickly called us in route."IT IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS"
Heather, the property manager, was very attentive to our calls and responded immediately. The home was beautifully equipped and the kitchen was a chef's dream.
My understanding is that this property is going on monthly rental only. This will limit its appeal.
The owners are to be congratulated on providing an exceptional rental property.
