About chris christoforo and rebecca christoforo
My husband and I fell in love with this beautiful log home as soon as we saw it. In snowy November the house was warm and inviting with lovely views in every direction. Our family has spent countless beautiful days here together, and I am so happy to share this place with those who love this region of Maine as much as I do.

Fabulous Maine getaway
The property is easy to get to, off the main road, close to area ski resorts. It is totally private. The home is beautifully decorated. The living room with wood stove was so cozy, warm and appealing. We kept the stove on just for the ambiance; there's nothing like a crackling fire and wood was plentifully provided. The kitchen is beautifully equiped; the bedrooms extremely comfortable; there was satellite TV, a hot tub, wireless Internet, lots of games, movies, books. The night sky from the deck of this lovely A frame was awash in stars that cannot ever be seen from the city. The mountains were brilliant with fall colors. This was truly a perfect getaway weekend, close to the Fryeburg Fair. We hope to return in the winter for another delightful stay.
Thank you Linda!
So glad you had a nice time and we look forward to having you come back!
Nice cozy ski cabin. Perfect for a family and friends and kids.
We had a great 4-night stay. Everything we needed for big dinners, TV and a comfortable living room evening, hot tub, foosball, ping pong, comfortable sleeping and early breakfasts to get to Sunday River.
Thanks All. :)
Very nice cabin for a get-away
My wife and I stayed for four nights in January, 2018. The cabin is comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, and secluded. There is a hot tub , a wood stove and wood (there is also central heat), a largish flat screen with a large and eclectic selection of DVDs, and several trails within walking distance. Some amenities (coffee grinder, snowshoes) that were listed in VRBO were not actually in the cabin, so if any are important to you check with the owner before you go. Chris was very responsive to our questions before and during our stay, and even volunteered to bring us her snowshoes after we arrived and asked about them.
Perfect family house
The house was just as depicted! Smelled like new wood upon entering. It's much newer than the outside looks! And cutely attired all around the house - like the animal cabinet pulls in the kitchen.
Living Room - Beautiful stone chimney with woodstove is very cozy!
Kitchen - Well stocked and outfitted with all that you may need, not only sugar, salt and pepper but other spices, oil, even some coffee! All kitchen towels and paper products were well stocked. (The oven door handle needs attention)
Bedrooms - Downstairs: one room with a queen bed, the other with a double bed were very comfortable. The loft is huge and has real stairs (we weren't sure from the website) 2 twins on either side of the room, with a daybed and trundle in the middle, you could sleep 4 comfortably even with luggage. The beds did not come made up, but the folded sheet sets were sitting on each bed, so there was no guesswork.
Bathroom - Good shower pressure, Plenty of towels!
Hot Tub - Rated for 6 person, but we were shoulder to shoulder (and we're not big people!)
Outside - Lots of parking, nicely off the quiet country lane and that lane is off the main road, so it's very safe for kids or dogs. Lots of trails nearby on both sides of the main road. We skied to Papoose pond and Waymouth Pond.
The heat is hot water baseboard and we did not realize how long that took to heat the house from 55 degrees. But the woodstove took over nicely that first night, and the very friendly owner returned our call as soon as they could. Overall I would highly recommend this cabin!
Although we had to cut out trip short for a family emergency I can't wait to come back here. It was perfect location for us and near everything we know. We loved the cabin and hope to be able to come back soon.
A nice cabin in the woods on a quiet road with mountain views.
A perfect place to spend quality time with family. We enjoyed playing board games in the loft area, enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner, and the hot tub was nice.
So glad you and your family enjoyex your Thanksgiving!
We hope you can return to enjoy all the great activities the other seasons have to offer!
Please consider our other two properties as well. 4236830 and 4236831
