Guestbook comments from the owner

Had a great weekend (3 nights). House was clean and much bigger than the pictures showed. Living room and kitchen are huge. We had 6 adults and 5 kids. Had fun sledding on the killer hill by the White House. Went skiing at Mt Snow. Had beers at The Maple Leaf while the wives shopped in Wilmington. We'll be back.

Perfect for a large group with kids and adults

  • 3 of 5

We had a large group including kids and adults. This is one of the only places that could accommodate ours needs. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Living room had plenty of seating. Great location to downtown and MT Snow. Ed (owner) is great and super responsive

A family tradition

  • 5 of 5

My family and I love this cabin! We have rented it for several years now around Thanksgiving. It is a spacious cabin just right for our family. The kithen is great for making all of our meals. We love that the bedrooms are all in the upstairs. We really enjoy the game room too. The big fireplace and wood stove adds to the ambiance of it all. A family tradition to keep us going for sure!

Great cozy getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This place had everything our group needed and more. Kids had a blast in the game room, cooks had an amazing kitchen to prepare the meals and our skiing friends were close to the slopes. Owner was great to work with and very responsive to any questions we had the entire time from booking up until our stay. We'll be back for sure. Highly recommend this property to large groups looking for a great place to get away with friend and/or family.

December 2012 weekend in Vermont

  • 4 of 5

We had a great weekend, 11 people (6 adults, 5 kids) stayed 3 nights.House was very clean and well maintained. Rooms are much larger than shown in the photos. Living room and kitchen area are very big. Went sledding on the killer hill by the White House (and hurt my knee, so be careful). Had beers at the Maple Leaf while the wives shopped in Wilmington. We'll be back.

Summertime and winter better

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed here 3 times total in the past couple of years. I had been to this area of Vermont when I was younger and it has really become a cool and this little town in Wilmington has a lot to do. The bars are walking distance and The Red Mill has great steaks and food. I'm an avid skier and it is only a ten minute drive to mt snow.

The house has a great main room with a built in bar that can seat 4 - 5 people. The kitchen is a huge open area. Each bedroom has its own private feel with showers. We had lots to do during our summer stay with the lakes nearby and during the winter the area has so much to do.

I would recommend staying for a long weekend or the week because the house is fun and there are so many different little stores that are worth checking out. Great for groups.

Tough Mudder 2012

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the lodge with 12 ruggers for the 2012 Tough Mudder, which was right down the street. The house was in a perfect location. Walking distance to downtown Wilmington and a short drive to Mt. Snow. This could not have been more accommodating to our groups needs. Plenty of room for activities. Ample cooking and dinning area. Excellent choice for a large group that requires private rooms and showers. Biggest plus of all. Looking forward to continuing our tradition here next year.
