Great views of paradise overlooking the gulf from this NEWLY REMODELED Aquarius beachfront 4th floor unit. Watch sunrise on the gulf from front balcony, watch sunsets and fireworks from rear balcony. Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico. No need for rental car, you can walk to entertainment and great bay side restaurants such as Louie’s Backyard, Palm Street Pier Bar & Grill, Laguna Bob's and Daddy's. Shopping, water park and theater also close by. Miles and miles of golden beach to walk or relax around the large pool and hot tub. Jet skis, parasail banana boats, dolphin watch, museums and lighthouse are just some of the near by attractions. The Aquarius is a gated beachfront complex with a friendly 24 hour management /security staff. The Aquarius also has a laundry room a small fitness and sauna room and a 3 BBQ areas. Unlike many units in rental pool the owner stays in this condominium quite often. W.I.F.I. IN ROOM. SORRY NO RENTERS UNDER 25.
The Aquarius has recently undergone a major renovation inside, outside, pool, spa and grounds and is in outstanding condition.
Outside 60 days full refund (90 days Winter Texans);
Inside 60 days we keep the deposit;
Inside 3 weeks no refund. (We will always try to rent your cancelled dates and may refund deposit, or payment if ALL nights are rented);
In case of a mandatory hurricane evacuation, a credit of per night stay will be given for each night island is unsafe.

Sandy and I live and work in Indianapolis we visited South Padre one weekend in 2005. We fell in love with the area and people and purchased unit 507 while there the following year we purchased 407 and recently purchased unit 906.

Aquarius has a friendly 24 hour security. Although it was the first high rise to be built on the island it has under gone a fantastic renovation. The grounds and landscape are immaculate. You will find all three of our units clean well supplied and updated regularly. Sorry no renters under 25.

The place was super clean when we got there. There were plenty of towels and beach toys (and a perfect beach view from the porch!) and really nice grounds. The kitchen was well equipped and even though the beds are a little old they were comfortable enough. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would def come back :)
The condo was equipped with everything you would need plus some. It actually looked like a showroom. I loved the way it was decorated. The dishes were very nice and colorful. There was an assortment of nice glassware. Very nice blankets, pillows, and sheets.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This was our third stay in Unit 407 and it was wonderful. Everything you need a for week long vacation is there from towels to pots, pans and dishes. It slept 6 very comfortably. However, the mattress in the master might need to be replaced. It's not super comfy.
We'll be back next year!
First of all, there was a great view. Second, they were easy to work with.
Now for the not so great....
The actual building that the condo is in is not very nice at all. The ceiling tiles are warped and bulged through the hallways.. the elevators are super scary. I think they really need servicing.
Now to the condo, it was nice and remodeled. I dont remember if they list the square footage but had i known it was this small i would have not booked here. This place felt like it used to be an efficiency and they threw some walls up and called it a 2 bedroom. I mean this place was small. And i hate to say there was too much furniture in the living room that made it even smaller.
I really feel like i over paid. Maybe i paid it because of the view. In any case, now you know what to expect.
As soon as we walked into the condo, I knew we chose well. The condo was updated and most importantly, CLEAN! Tastefully decorated and plenty of room for my family of 4. A throw blanket on the couch was a nice homey touch, the view from the balconies was great, and the check in process was easy and stress free. My kids played with a boogie board someone else had left in a closet and when we left, we added some sand toys to the community collection, as well as leftover trash bags and paper towels. The pots/pans we used were like new, no flaking teflon, and plenty of utensils. The coffee pot looked new and there was ice waiting for us in the freezer, which we refilled when we left.
The hotel grounds themselves are very well kept and the pool/hot tub area is very nice. There is a laundry room and a room with a treadmill in it on the first floor. The water was turned off for maintenance on three days we were there, and one elevator was out of order our whole visit. Nothing major, just an observation. I also like the gated parking aspect, but sometimes the exit gate was wide open all day.
If I were to improve anything, I'd upgrade the mattresses in both rooms. I'd also apply some WD40 to the ceiling fans. Those things have seen lots of "turns"! And as a personal preference, I'd add some light blocking curtains to the bedrooms. There are currently floor length curtains in the rooms, but they definitely let you know when the sun has risen!
Dealing with the owners and front desk was painless, and all went as expected.
I've been coming to SPI since 1983 and this is one of the better places I'd stayed. It's a great value for what you get.
I love staying here, it's our second year renting from you all and we all absolutely love it. Just walking distance to the beach. Can't wait to stay again soon! Thank you
