Sitting on over an acre of some of the most incredible views you will find in the Dominican Republic. The casita has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a great master suite. The oversized patio has plenty of living space including areas for dining, sitting and relaxing. All of the exquisite decorating is in complete harmony with this special location. Situated on a cliff overlooking the turquoise blue sea is a large classic infinity edged pool .Out on the patio, there is a built-in bench with a teak dining table, overlooking the magical ocean view. You can relax and take in all the beauty. Certainly seems far away from it all, but we have wifi so you can stay in touch!
We have now added Solar to power the casita. How wonderful to be free of the bad electric power from the street.
The A/C only works when there is street power.
Go and enjoy the beach of Playa Grande. Miles of white sand and lots of palm trees border the most fantastic beach around. You just wouldn’t believe how beautiful the ocean is. A few small beach huts that are located in one area of the beach, where the locals will prepare the best of the Dominican cuisine for you. They really do prepare great food, so don’t be shy.
There are many sights to see and things to do around this part of the Dominican Republic. You can do as little or as much as you want. Just come and enjoy.

If your looking for a quite, private getaway you have just found it. From Chris and Ryan meeting us at the gas station to escort us to the house, being available for questions and giving great suggestions to Daniel the grounds keeper who was always there but invisible to the two loving dogs who were better than any security I have had in the DR, it was perfect. Both Cabrera and Rio San Juan were classic small towns with a authentic dominican charm. We even had a great experience at the med center in Cabrera! The pace was perfect after spending a few days in Las Terrenas. I can't say enough about it, if you are considering this casa just do it, you won't be disappointed.
Everything was perfect!!! The pool is spectacular, the view is even better once you get in. The grounds were beautiful, tropical and maintained excellent. The Villa is perfect and has very high end finishes. The view from bed is something that will forever be imprinted in my memory. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The staff are amazing and I was sad to say goodbye. They were very nice and very professional when it came to our privacy. The staff helped in every way, their local advice helped us lots. Having a rental car was the best option, we went into Cabrera many times. The villa is close to everything, 5 min to the lovely town of Cabrera, 10 min to a few amazing beaches, 15 min to DuDu Lagoon (a must see), 10 min to the 27 waterfalls, literally everything is right there. If you don't rent a car you can easily get around by cab also, however the car was a major bonus for us. Overall I suggest this Villa to everyone, you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait till we go back, its not if...... its when we go back :) Thank you Gretchen, Irma, Daniel and the Night Staff, our Honeymoon was by far the best trip of our lives!!!!! Thank you so much
The Casita was as described if not better. The view off of the front porch of the pool and ocean is to die for. It is a little hard to find but well worth the trip. The pool was very clean and huge and the grounds were well taken care of. The Casita is just perfect for two people and maybe one small child. We went to Manny's in Cabrera a couple time for dinner and the food was fantastic as well as the view from the bar. We were surprised to find out that the owner's dogs "Fina and Taleman" lived on the property and it turned out they were great company and we wanted to take them home with us. The property manager was very helpful and gave us a quick tour of the town and showed us where to shop and exchange money. I would recommend the Casita to any one that wants to get away from it all and would like to return some day.
La casita was absolutely amazing for our honeymoon. It exceeded our expectations, and it was beautiful. The views were amazing, and the beautiful sunrise was a great sight to wake up to. It was very romantic and relaxing. While we liked to explore nearby (Playa Grande, Dudu Lagoon, Rio San Juan), our favorite place was sitting by the pool with a drink in our hands. We would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a private and relaxing vacation spot. La Casita does not disappoint, and we would love to go back!
Great location and unbeatable views! Just perfect for two gringos who don't mind cooking and exploring on their own, but want to retire in the evening to the most perfect romantic setting and view!
What a wonderful casita. My husband and I stayed two weeks and loved every second of it. Gretchen was prompt in returning e-mails, witch is always a good feature. Irma was wonderful as a host. Diana a great housekeeper and Daniel a wonderful grounds man. The home is just as pictured. Fina and Caliban, the resident dogs were so sweet we wanted to take them home. The pool was so refreshing. The town is so cute and I will recommend Manny's for great food and drinks. An afternoon at Playa Grande for lunch was fun. All in all we had a wonderful time. Thank you Irma and crew.
For directions to the house, once you come out of the POP airport you will make a left hand turn onto the main road. This will be route 5, which is the only road that runs along the north coast. You will be going thru several larger towns starting with Sousa and then Cabarete. The next town which you need to pay attention to is the town of” Rio San Juan”. Continue right thru this town but start to pay attention to landmarks. The next very little village you go thru is Abreu and then a smaller village of Breton. In both these little villages there is very little signage. Once you pass thru Breton you need to keep a sharp eye out for our road, it is only about 2 miles from there. On the eastern side of Breton you start going up an incline and the road will start to wind a little bit. Look on the left for a white house with a hip roof that is perched on a cliff .Our road is the next left hand turn. If you miss that house, the next house has a large stonewall with a gate right on the road side. The name of that house is Costa Norte and this house property is right near the beginning of our road. It straddles the highway to our road.
Now if you go pass our road you will start to go down a hill and from here it is pretty easy…just turn around and makes your first right hand turn. There will be a street sign indicating a turn. Our road is a switchback road and we are the last house on the road. The gate may be closed, and if so all you will need to do is beep the horn and Daniel will open it up for you.
