Beautiful home with amazing views

  • 4 of 5

The view was breath taking, so peaceful and tranquil!!! Home was beautiful, very nicely remolded, plenty of space for everyone. Jason was very easy to work with, enjoyed the kayak and paddle board and they had lots of games which we played well into the early morning. Home was nicely decorated, I would have given my stay a 5 however was disappointed the gazebo was not up (lots of jumping spiders) and the lack of a fire pit, other than that our stay was perfect..

Great Lake Home!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in the lake! The house was clean and true to all the pictures. The location that has quiet neighbors and like other reviewers pointed out, it is right on the lake and so beautiful! Would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend get away on the lake. Jason was also a very friendly and accommodating host.

Nice enough, but...

  • 2 of 5

The house was nice enough, location was beautiful. Our stay was marred, however, by the numerous rules, caveats, warnings, etc. that were found almost everywhere in the house. Nearly every table, window and bed had some type of sign indicating how it should be used/ treated. While anyone would want their house treated with respect, the owner went way overboard. If you are that paranoid, don't rent your house out.

We were also asked to clean the house, vacuum, put out the trash, and put linens in the laundry room, yet we had already paid a hefty cleaning fee which you would assume covers all the above.

And finally, and most disturbingly, it was obvious that someone else had been in the house during the daytime when we are out. The heat had been lowered and the bedroom door had been propped open with a trash can. We were upset at the thought that someone else had access to our belongings, especially the electronic devices. Not cool. Would not rent here again.

Owner's Response: Hello- thanks for taking the time to submit a review. Please understand that this is a vacation rental, not a stay in my primary residence. As a host, I absolutely stress privacy and tranquility. For that reason, unlike many other hosts, I do not normally meet my guests to show them through the house and explain policy. As a result, some notes are necessary, to explain the features of the house, and, yes, some rules. So its a bit of a trade off. Also, I don't expect hard cleaning, but it's courteous, when you are a guest in someone's home, to pick up after yourself. It's reasonable to have you take out the trash. Lastly, there is a zero percent chance that someone was in the house during your stay. Zero. I am 100% certain that this is a misunderstanding, and it is certainly logical that you, or your partner, may have opened the door & turned down the heat and forgot. My home has been a rental for 11 years, and I have never had the allegation that anyone had anything less than privacy and security. I take my guests comfort very seriously. Hopefully other travelers will find your review helpful and decide if the house is right for them, or take your paranoia seriously.

Another great trip to this gorgeous home!

  • 5 of 5

Our family late summer get-a-away was a smashing success because of this home. The living space is beautiful and very inviting because it is so open. The kitchen has room for multiple cooks and storage. It's quiet and the views are amazing. The swimming was amazing- sandy with no weeds. It was very clean and had extensive supplies in stock. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it!
