|Minimum Stay||3 - 5 nights|
Contemporary home built 2001 located in heart of the world's prime wine-growing region in Napa Valley.
Walk to several famous wineries; a short drive to Ox Bow Market and world class restaurants including La Toque, the French Laundry, Don Giovanni & Auberge, and more local ones, Angele, Torc & Cook. It is easily accessible located about midway between the towns of Napa and Yountville, with a dramatic view of Stags Leap and surrounding vineyards.
We are two Southern Californians who met on my (Marion's) first planned vacation to Napa Valley on Labor Day weekend, 1980. We became frequent and regular visitors to Napa from that day forward. Finally in 1998 we bought and developed our own property including the house and planting our small vineyard. It has been and is a joy that we like sharing with others.
Marion Blum purchased this house in 1998
We – three couples from around the country – spent four nights in the Vineyard House in early November. We had as relaxing a time as one can imagine, and the location of the house in relation to the vineyards, centers of towns, etc. is unparalleled. Can't imagine staying anywhere else. We woke most mornings two hot air balloons outside our window. Magical.
My family spent the thanksgiving holiday week in Napa at Marion's Country house (6 adults). Being located on Silverado Trail in the middle of vineyards was special. The house's main living space has many floor to ceiling windows/ doors allowing the beautiful scenery to come right in. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen. They have everything you need to cook, and its big. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were very nice also. I would stay there again and enjoyed dealing with Marion,. Everything was prefect.
This is a wonderful vacation home, conveniently located on the Silverado Trail. Our group (3 couples) travels regularly together and we all agree this is one of the best accommodations we have had. The house is very comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen (every thing you could ask for), two nice patios and an enclosed outdoor kitchen for grilling. There was plenty of seating inside and out for meals an enjoying the beautiful scenery. The owners were easy to work with and its clear they take a great deal of pride and care with this home. I would highly recommend this home for anyone visiting Napa; we hope to return again!
This review is long overdue. Our stay at the Country House was beyond fabulous. The location is great on the southern stretch of the Silverado trail. Everything in the home is well maintained and stocked. First night we were able to cook a gourmet meal in the Country House's open kitchen. Each evening we sat outside as the sun set and enjoyed the cool weather. Everyone loved the mechanical clock over the fireplace ;)
If you are looking for a home that fits 3 couples comfortably, this is it. We hope to return soon.
We (3 couples) stayed at this wonderful home in late February and really enjoyed it. The home was very comfortable and clean, and as other posts have pointed out, the kitchen was stocked with just about everything you'd ever need. The 3 bedrooms were very nice, with bathrooms connected to 2 of the bedrooms. The 3rd bathroom is near the kitchen, but folks, don't make this a deal breaker. Not a big deal. There are 2 porches to choose from, with plenty of seating to go around. A view of the vineyards and the hills are right outside the windows.
The location was awesome for touring the wineries in the Stags Leap District, and not far from Napa or St Helena for shopping and restaurants. Bistro Don Giovanni was a big hit for us, especially after it was discovered they had us down for the wrong night. They made it right, and we had an awesome table on a busy night. The food was awesome and reasonably priced.
We will certainly return to Napa, and will stay at this great house in the future. Thanks Marion, for taking care of us.
Our family of 5 stayed here while on a wine tasting trip. The house was perfect for us. It has plenty of bedroom and bathroom space. We made good use of the well stocked kitchen and the barbecue. The house is located in a very convenient spot - close to wineries, shopping, and grocery stores. We would definitely like to stay here again.
