Chesa Mare – our dream home – is located at 137 Leserra Lane on Lower Matecumbe Key at MM 76.4 Oceanside. Our house is at the end of a small private road. When you arrive there, the ocean is on your right and the canal right behind the house. The gorgeous views of the ocean captured our hearts initially, and we are still in love with our home away from home. We hope that you will like it also.
Up a flight of stairs brings you to the living area which consists of a large living room with comfortable seating arrangements and a large dining area that easily seats eight. The cozy den with couch and love seat also contains an entertainment center with TV, VCR, DVD, and many books to choose from. The sofa in the den is also a sleeper. There is a half-bath and a fully stocked kitchen as well as a laundry room with washer and dryer on the same floor. The large deck surrounding the living floor contains lounges, an outdoor table and chairs, and a barbecue with magnificent ocean views.
Up another flight of stairs brings you to the sleeping quarters with three bedrooms and two baths. The master bedroom is very large and comfortable, with its own private bath. It contains a king-sized bed, a comfortable arm chair and a flat screen TV. The second bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, the third has twin beds. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom. The whole bedroom floor also is surrounded by a beautiful veranda with lounges and chairs. The views are incredible and the large, comfortable deck upstairs is one of our favorite hang-outs, with always a breeze off the ocean and breathtaking views.
Our boat slip easily accommodates a boat of 30 ft. in length, and the canal is wide enough for a second boat. 100 feet and you are in the open ocean.
There is easy and ample covered parking under the house.
The house is beautifully decorated and has all amenities, with of course central air and high-speed Internet access.

We have the best of two worlds; views and access. We have direct ocean access via the canal to the Northeast and we have ocean views in an arc stretching from the Northeast to the Southwest. We are close enough to the restaurants and shops in Upper Matecumbe but far enough away to have a sense of privacy and lots of peace and quiet.
The house is in a great location in Lower Matecumbe. Robbie's restaurant is only one mile away which we went to three times (twice by car, once by boat). We also went to anne's Beach twice with our dogs. The house is great for pets, the yard is fenced in and there is plenty of room for the dogs to run around.
