Superb Location, Great inside and Outside!
It was our first time in La Azohia, and in Spain, actually!
We arrived to the property and we found few things:
- Property is on one of the best positions - providing you with the lovely views and really nice breeze, within 5 minutes walk to the nice, sandy beach with fantastic, clear and warm sea;
- It is very well furnished and provides absolutely everything you might need for your stay - from bathroom and beach towels to all other equipment you might think of;
- La Azohia and the estate where the property is located, is very quiet and family friendly.
Owner (Linda) was very easy to communicate, she provided all the instructions and patiently answered all our questions.
All in all - I can recommend with my clear consciousness it to anyone, who is seeking for quiet and peaceful holidays!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed review that I feel sure will be a great help to others looking at El Mirador. I am delighted that you loved the property and La Azohia so much and that your first experience of Spain was so positive. Many thanks again. Linda
Beautiful apartment in a beautiful setting
We loved it, so much so I've already booked to go back later this year.
The apartment has everything you could need, a real home from home. Outside is fabulous - so much space and stunning views.
The pool is 50m away and we had it to ourselves all week. The beach is sandy and shelves into the sea - lovely to swim in. Loved the whole area.
Linda is great at communicating, the guide book emailed was really helpful, highly recommended.
A quiet winter hideaway !
Our winter break was a very reasonably priced affair .
When booked early the Easy-Jet tickets only came to 109 pounds for
the two of us. Flights from the UK into Murcia (a very quite clean airport ) where we picked up a hire car for the drive to La Azohia.
On arrivel at El Mirador we found the position of the apartment lent
itself to some great views and wonderful sunsets,
The apartment is very well furnished and contains all the items that
one would need to enjoy your stay there. Mazarron we found to be
a good choice for shops and eating out. THE END !
Returned from the apartment a week ago, fantastic views and lived up to everything in the description. La Azohia a lovely sleepy village in October with good restaurants in Isla Plana a short drive away. One of the least spoilt parts of the Spanish coast that we have visited with good walks, great beaches (clean and safe). Would definitely come again.
Apartment clean, very well equipped and just about everything provided.
Summer Stay at La Azohia
If you like to get away from home, but want a "home from home" then this is the apartment for you. The quality of the apartment was second to none, large airy bedrooms, 2 superb bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and a relaxing living room. Then there is the beach, appox 5-10 mins walk away - genuine walking time - and really clear warm seas. When we were there we always managed to find a quiet spot, and suprisingly nearly everyone else there was spanish. They show us a thing or two about family time on the beaches taking everything for a full day out. Local restaurants were really nice, but if you want to eat out a little cheaper - especially those with young families - then 15 mins easy drive takes you to a larger resort with seaside bars etc and masive choice. Whats really nice is to return to the apartment, get out the chilled wines and beers, put kids to bed and relax on your roof terrace. That itself was worth the trip. Beautifully done and a real treasure with fanastic views over the town. We will definitely return again, maybe not mid summer as it was a little too hot for us in the full sunshine, but hey us brits moan whatever the weather dont we! Thanks for the experience. The apartment is very well equiped and has a very nice private area for sunbathing and eating outside. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The swimming pool we seemed to have to ourselves and it was the school holidays when we visited. It is a very pleasant stroll to the promanade, sandy beach and a few restaurants. A car is necessary if you want to investigate further a field. Linda is a pleasure to do business with.
Thank you so much for all the great reviews. Those who have stayed at El Mirador have discovered what is a true uniqueness. As a lower property it is surrounded by huge terraces on which guests can spread and has the feel of a house rather than an apartment with a sense of great spaciousness. An awful lot of love has been poured into this property with its beautiful furniture and my own hand made soft furnishings which guests have shown such an appreciation of.
The most unique aspect must be that these benefits are coupled with fabulous open views not often found with a ground floor, which can be enjoyed from the front terrace and the fantastic raised BBQ terrace to the side. This is due to the plot being on the open southerly corner on the front line of the development, with absolutely nothing in front. Guests have not fully appreciated this until actually arriving. This location also means it is the nearest property to the sea and shop, with a short cut going across the hillside immediately adjacent to it with these facilities easily reached by walking within 5 minutes.
El Mirador has especially suited parties with young children and those with grandparents, as there are only a few easy steps which allow very easy access for those with buggies or elderly relatives who may be a little unsteady on their feet.
As we also own the upper property we are in control of who stays above you and you need have no worries of noise from above as we have very strict (but reasonable) rules! We have not had a single complaint.
We hope that the lovely comments from our kind guests will help future ones in making their decision for their holidays.
Thank you so much again - kind regards from the owner.
A five minute stroll down quiet residential avenues brings you straight to the best sandy beach in the exclusive San Gines area of La Azohia. Facing west, this stunning cove enjoys a unique micro-climate with a gently shelving sea and a beautiful palm-lined promenade that stretches two miles and ends at the quaint marina where the fishermen bring in their tuna catches each day. There you can pick up a path to the top of Cabo Tinoso and the Tower of St Helena, a look out originally built in the 16th century, which presides over the village. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in the village itself, a small but well-stocked Spar shop and a chemist. La Azohia is first and foremost a place for relaxation, fun or walking by the sea - visited by divers from all over Spain for its crystal clear waters and colourful sea beds. Swimming is safe and during summer there are water sports with showers along the beach. Additionally there are snack bars and the ‘Rockola Summer Club’ that springs into life with a lively bar and music to suit all tastes. As well as the superb diving, La Azohia is famous for the Antipodas Tavern, a wonderful bar and restaurant perched on the mountain side above the marina with spectacular sunset views. With more extensive facilities and all kinds of attractions readily available at nearby Isla Plana, Mazarron and the historic town of Cartagena, with your quiet haven to return to, you have the best of all worlds on your doorstep.
