Superbly placed on the most southerly corner of this lovely new development with sweeping open views to the sea, this 3 bedroom lower property offers every convenience for a self-catering holiday with many added luxuries and free extras to ensure you feel completely at home from the moment you arrive. The location is simply stunning and it has been considered already by both guests and owners that this is the best plot on the entire development. The flexible accommodation is luxuriously appointed, beautifully furnished and generously equipped creating a feeling of warmth and comfort - a 'home from home' but in a Mediterranean setting. This end property is completely unattached on three and a half sides giving it the feel of a house and the three huge terraces on which to spread (120 sq m), easy access and private parking immediately outside ensure that every kind of party is catered for - from mature couples to families, from those with babies and toddlers to those with grandparents.
El Pinar de San Gines, known as 'The Pines', is a much sought after development in the beautiful traditional and unspoiled fishing village of La Azohia, tucked beneath mountains, and fronted by lovely villas in a quiet location away from any busy roads and yet just a short stroll from the sea. The properties are mainly in just two tiers joined only on corners, with one below and one above, in a convenient apartment-style layout. With beautiful mature gardens and paths winding in and out, the community has the feel of a Spanish village within a village and several people have made it their permanent home. Every week day a bread man comes through The Pines peeping his horn and you will soon get to know him and his lovely breads, croissants and delicious Empanadas. There is a shared pool for use by residents which is in a secluded location with mountain views, lovely plants around and seating. The Pines has become highly regarded in a very short time perhaps equally for its truly stunning location, the quality of the properties and the safe environment it offers families with children. La Azohia is famous for its magnificent sun sets and the development was built in the perfect position in order to appreciate them to the full - sufficiently elevated but with no steep slopes to negotiate as you wander down to the seafront.
The apartment is very well equiped and has a very nice private area for sunbathing and eating outside. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The swimming pool we seemed to have to ourselves and it was the school holidays when we visited. It is a very pleasant stroll to the promanade, sandy beach and a few restaurants. A car is necessary if you want to investigate further a field. Linda is a pleasure to do business with.
It was our first time in La Azohia, and in Spain, actually!
We arrived to the property and we found few things:
- Property is on one of the best positions - providing you with the lovely views and really nice breeze, within 5 minutes walk to the nice, sandy beach with fantastic, clear and warm sea;
- It is very well furnished and provides absolutely everything you might need for your stay - from bathroom and beach towels to all other equipment you might think of;
- La Azohia and the estate where the property is located, is very quiet and family friendly.
Owner (Linda) was very easy to communicate, she provided all the instructions and patiently answered all our questions.
All in all - I can recommend with my clear consciousness it to anyone, who is seeking for quiet and peaceful holidays!
We loved it, so much so I've already booked to go back later this year.
The apartment has everything you could need, a real home from home. Outside is fabulous - so much space and stunning views.
The pool is 50m away and we had it to ourselves all week. The beach is sandy and shelves into the sea - lovely to swim in. Loved the whole area.
Linda is great at communicating, the guide book emailed was really helpful, highly recommended.
Our winter break was a very reasonably priced affair .
When booked early the Easy-Jet tickets only came to 109 pounds for
the two of us. Flights from the UK into Murcia (a very quite clean airport ) where we picked up a hire car for the drive to La Azohia.
On arrivel at El Mirador we found the position of the apartment lent
itself to some great views and wonderful sunsets,
The apartment is very well furnished and contains all the items that
one would need to enjoy your stay there. Mazarron we found to be
a good choice for shops and eating out. THE END !
Returned from the apartment a week ago, fantastic views and lived up to everything in the description. La Azohia a lovely sleepy village in October with good restaurants in Isla Plana a short drive away. One of the least spoilt parts of the Spanish coast that we have visited with good walks, great beaches (clean and safe). Would definitely come again.
Apartment clean, very well equipped and just about everything provided.
We stayed at El Mirador with our three little boys last summer and had an absolutely wonderful time. The apartment has just about everything you could ever need - the equipment is more than complete! Even the baby equipment is perfect, you don't have to bring anything from home.
We felt like home right away: the apartment was very clean, Jane (the property manager) was very friendly, a great food package welcomed us (enough for a dinner, a nice drink at night ;-) and a breakfast) and even new mattresses.
The location of the apartment is also very good. Nice view over the ocean, very close to the pool and quietly situated at the corner of the apartment complex.
Overall, we had a great vacation and are definitely planning to come back this year! Thanks Linda!
A five minute stroll down quiet residential avenues brings you straight to the best sandy beach in the exclusive San Gines area of La Azohia. Facing west, this stunning cove enjoys a unique micro-climate with a gently shelving sea and a beautiful palm-lined promenade that stretches two miles and ends at the quaint marina where the fishermen bring in their tuna catches each day. There you can pick up a path to the top of Cabo Tinoso and the Tower of St Helena, a look out originally built in the 16th century, which presides over the village. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in the village itself, a small but well-stocked Spar shop and a chemist. La Azohia is first and foremost a place for relaxation, fun or walking by the sea - visited by divers from all over Spain for its crystal clear waters and colourful sea beds. Swimming is safe and during summer there are water sports with showers along the beach. Additionally there are snack bars and the ‘Rockola Summer Club’ that springs into life with a lively bar and music to suit all tastes. As well as the superb diving, La Azohia is famous for the Antipodas Tavern, a wonderful bar and restaurant perched on the mountain side above the marina with spectacular sunset views. With more extensive facilities and all kinds of attractions readily available at nearby Isla Plana, Mazarron and the historic town of Cartagena, with your quiet haven to return to, you have the best of all worlds on your doorstep.
