2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, sleeps 4-5
Jeff is a Boston area architect/contractor and resident of Concord for over 20 years. He designed and restored the cabin on his own, working weekends over the course of three years. Initially, his wife was very reluctant, but once done, she is now the cabin's biggest fan. As it was designed and built for his family, Jeff has left no detail undone.
Jeff purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Jeff chose Granville
This area of Vermont is close enough to Boston (less than 3 hours), yet far enough to be in the heart of pristine Vermont. Jeff has been coming to this area since the mid 1970's and dreamed of having a retreat here for 35 years. Skiing is only 15-30 minutes away, and several romantic villages are nearby, giving endless options to explore and enjoy. Being on 10 acres and in Granville, it is also very private and peaceful. Often we just spend the weekend there, relaxing and basking in the cabin's great light and warmth.
What makes this Cabin unique
Although the existing cabin was in sad repair, Jeff saw the potential, the views, and had the vision, tools and skills to make it happen. It is now our favorite place to be and we have established many great relationships there. It is a very active and engaging community, which we love being a part of and welcome others to share in, too!

Great place to stay with a family, visited with wifey and 2 kids, we had a blast . Great location in the woods, right next to hiking trails and ski resorts. Cabin is very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. Nice clean hot tub outside , campfire place with lots of chairs, table with benches as well. Great communication with a property manager. Very recommended!!!
This home was amazing! Everything was so well labeled, there were really no questions left unanswered on how to operate/use anything. The property itself was quiet and relaxing. The area had many hiking spots and I highly recommend the glass blowing place in town. Overall, great place and we look forward to staying again!
Perfect mountain getaway
Just a stunning property! I highly recommend!
Thank you... please come back!
Cozy, beautiful and a perfect getaway
This cabin is wonderfully cozy and has every amenity you can think of! Jeff is wonderful to speak with and took great care of us; recommendations, checking in and making sure we were comfortable. If you are looking for the perfect cabin in the most beautiful setting in VT; look no further! Thank you Jeff and we will be back :)
Amazing escape in the mountains of Vermont
We had a wonderful time at this incredibly picturesque and well-appointed cabin. Though the footprint is small, there was more space than I anticipated, especially upstairs in the bedrooms. Everything is very well laid out and designed, and Jeff has provided everything that you might need as far as amenities. The kitchen has everything you would expect for full-on meal prep and cooking, and there are thoughtful touches throughout the cabin. The trails nearby are lovely, and we enjoyed exploring the area, including some beautiful waterfalls that are just a short drive up RT-100. Coming back to the cabin for dinner and movies on the giant projector screen was a great way to end the day (following a soak in the hot tub, of course). Will definitely be back!
Beautiful secluded cabin. Dog loved it too!
Great weekend getaway. Beautiful hikes, my dog loved running around the property
Located in central Vermont, 1/2 mile off Rt. 100, alongside the Green Mountains. Just a half hour off the interstate and convenient to skiing, hiking, kayaking, relaxing and many other outdoor activities. Enjoy great nearby skiing or stay on the property and have a fun weekend tubing, tubbing and/or snowshoeing through the woods and open fields. In the summer, there are the Farmers Markets in Waitsfield and Rochester, amazing swimming holes, tubing on the rivers, as well as the peace and serenity that comes with being located in the pristine, undeveloped White River Valley.
Other Activities: x-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, badminton and tetherball right on the property.
Golf: Sugarbush has a beautiful 18 hole course, while White River Golf Club offers 9 holes at a tremendous value only 15 minutes away.
Ski: Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, two of Vermonts best areas are only 25 minutes away, and Middlebury Snow Bowl, Vermonts best value, is only 15 minutes away.
