Sailbeach is located on St. Georges Cay in the community called Spanish Wells, walking distance to everything. It is one of the cleanest safest islands in all of the Bahamas. The house is located in the center of a beautiful natural white sandy beach. The fabulous turquoise waters can be enjoyed from the panoramic view in the main living area. Guests can enjoy the large upper deck, reclining on lounge chairs, with unobstructed view of the Bahamian gin clear waters. Your stay includes: High speed wireless Internet, cable television, (4) beach cruiser bicycles, (2) kayaks, (2) stand up paddle boards; central air conditioning, large fully equipped kitchen with island and granite tops, laundry room; linens, bath towels and beach towels.

Why Mark Williams chose Eleuthera

Bought the lot after our sailboat sank in a storm. Built the house over several years for my daughters. Put my heart and sole into the place. The daughters were too busy to use the Beach House so I decided to share it with others to enjoy it as a vacation rental. Susan and I love to visit and care for the home. We keep improving things every year. My passion is kiting and having kited all over the world I have found Spanish Wells on a good day to top the list.

What makes this house unique

You truly feel right on the water. The panoramic views of the ever changing moods of the sea, sand wind and sky are a gift. No picture or words can describe this special place where time and troubles seem to stop. The little safe, clean island community of Spanish Wells is like no other place I have ever been. Friendly, helpful people make you feel welcome and secure. Maybe that is why most of the bookings are repeat and many year after year.

Fabulous! Not only was the house perfect the location is unbeatable!

Mark's house is well appointed and amazingly well equipped. It is very clean and is very well maintained. There were an abundance of towels for each bath and beach towels for all, too. We used the kitchen quite often and didn't want for any pots, pans or dishes.

Mark was responsive when I thought the TV was on the blink but it turned out half the island was out.

The house is located on a wonderful beach - you can walk out for hundreds of feet and be in water 3-4 feet deep.

The only problem with Spanish Wells is...more people are discovering it.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone - would be a great family retreat location.

Exceptional

The home is right on the beach and you feel like your on the sea. The changing moods of the ocean with shallow terquiose colored water paint an ever changing picture everyday. At low tide the large sandy beach is great for walks and the water is flat. We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks at low tide. We could even walk in shallow water to the distant offshore sand bars. We saw cruise ships go by everyday. Bike rides to the store and around the little island were fun. We felt very safe. It was hard to leave such a peaceful place.

We left a piece of our heart in Spanish Wells!

We are in love with the island and the people of Spanish Wells! We had an amazing vacation and cannot wait to return. Sailbeach is more than a rental! It has everything that you would need to enjoy a perfect vacation. We love to cook and were able to find everything we needed to make gourmet meals. The bedrooms are very nice and each bedroom has access to a bathroom. Our favorite thing to do each day was to kayak out to the sandbar and search for shells. We found hundreds of sand dollars and beautiful conch in the sea grass. We also saw beautiful star fish. The beach was perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter. We rented a golf cart and it's all you need to enjoy the entire island. We visited Papa Scoops each night - who has 2 new ice cream flavors each night. We also visited Buddha's (who was a treat to visit) for lunch and we were also able to get our ice, wine, alcohol, and beer from Buddha. The grocery store is very nice and had a lot more items than I expected. However, it's important to know that they obtain fresh items on Wednesday. So, the store closes around noon on Wednesday and opens back up on Thursday after fresh items are restocked. We arrived on Saturday and they were already out of milk and some other items for the week. We were very fortunate that one of the ladies at the store had saved a gallon and didn't need it. We were so grateful that she offered this to us. The people are so kind. There is a really good bakery across the street and you must try Cathy's Johnny (formally known as Journey) Cakes (hers are dairy free). She makes fresh bread daily and it is amazing - but get there early because they sell out fast. These were a treat for breakfast! We spent one day with James Dunnam (Ocean Safaris) and it was the highlight of the trip. He knows the islands so well and my husband instantly bonded with James. We all had a blast with James and felt as though we left a good friend behind. He was super! We ate at the Sand Bar, The Shipyard, and Wreckers. All 3 restaurants were REALLY good and the atmospheres were unique and very nice. We also visited Harbour Island. Best way to do it is to call Pinders Taxi to take a taxi to/from Eleuthera Ferry Dock where it's $5/per person each way to ride to/from Harbour Island. Finally, the owner, Mark, is very responsive and easy to contact. You will not regret booking this property. I cried when we left and cannot wait to return to this paradise. It was unbelievable!

Our perfect vacation!

Our stay at Sailbeach was absolutely perfect! Mark had all of the information we needed to organize and plan our vacation and to make everything go smoothly! The house was the perfect beach getaway and was so comfortable. It has everything you need and more! The beach, which is right outside the front door, was the most magnificent beach we've ever seen! When we first arrived, the view literally took my breath away. Spanish Wells was exactly what we were looking for in our vacation...no highrise condos, no hustle and bustle, and so laid back and relaxing! Our perfect vacation!

Best Bahamas Vacation

Spanish Wells is very safe and friendly. Our boys would ride bike nightly to buy ice cream from Papa Scoops. While there are only a few restaurants on the island, each is unique, accessible and friendly. We took our boat over from Miami and docked it at the Spanish Wells Marina. Here again the staff was great and accommodating. Everything, and I mean everything, was perfect during our trip. Thank you Mark for sharing your home with us. It was a fabulous vacation. Hope to do it again soon. - Hector

Wonderful Christmas Getaway!

We stayed at Sailbeach the week before Christmas and had a fabulous time. We felt that the house was one of the nicest rental properties in Spanish Wells and Mark was very accomadating and helpful. Our daughters had a great time and we have already booked for 2016! This vacation went down as one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken. The locals were super friendly and very approachable with any questions we had. Restaurants were awesome and fresh fish was incredible. Definitely 5 stars!!

Spanish Wells is the small island, approximately 4 miles long x 2 miles wide, located off the northern most tip of North Eleuthera. Upon arrival at ELH, a fifteen minute taxi ride will take you Jeans Bay, where you catch a small ferry to arrive at the Spanish Wells docks. It is one of the cleanest safest island in all of Bahamas, and is connected via a bridge to sparsely populated Russell Island. A day trip on the fast ferry to Harbour Island is fun. The Shipyard Restaurant is popular.
