I typically respond to all email inquiries within a few hours. I do not use vrbo/homeaways internal mail system, thus the response time and rate they have posted is totally inaccurate.

I will provide you with a detailed quote -- Please ignore any “Instant Quote” or automated quote presented by this website.

Around 2015 VRBO/Homeaway started morphing from an advertising portal to connect property owners to tenants into a an advertising portal with an optional booking service, and this transition has created a lot of confusion. I don't pariticipate in their optional booking service. I still handle all my own quotes and the entire booking process personally as I have since 2005. You will be contracting with me not VRBO/Homeaway.

When you click “Request to Book” or the “contact me" or the "send a message" buttons or links, 1) you will provide your trip details 2) I will be sent that info via email and 3) I will reply to you personally with a detailed quote and a link to my personal website which is filled with more information.

Below is a general pricing guide. I quote all stays based on number of nights, occupancy, events and timing.

2 nights -- $275-450/night (based on occupancy, events and timing)

3 nights -- $250-400/night (based on occupancy, events and timing)

4-6 nights -- $250-350/night (based on occupancy, events and timing)

7 nights -- $250-275/night (that is 1750+/week based on occupancy, events and timing)

> 7 nights is a custom quote

-- a few exceptions to above pricing apply

-- exceptional deals for > 7 day stays from December through March

-- 2 or 3 NIGHT MINIMUM --

Typically 3 Night minimum, but will consider 2 nights depending on time of year and existing bookings.

The cleaning fee is $150.

I collect a $350 damage deposit and it is returned within 5 days of departure. I do not accept any damage insurance in lieu of this deposit.

627 S. Paca St.

Baltimore MD 21230

NOTE: I have 2 properties that are vacation rentals, 625 and 627 S. Paca St. They are side by side, and they are both advertised on VRBO/homeaway

I have a private website that has a lot more info and details about my properties and logistics. There is a link for it in the OWNER INFO SECTION. -- The link reads -- MY PERSONAL WEBSITE W/ INFO @ 625 and 627 S. PACA ST (If you have problems finding it I do send out my website link with all inquiry responses.)

I generally have very enjoyable experiences working with and pleasing families and business travelers. I use to have very consistent, good success with large 'groups of friends', but my inquiries in that category have risen a lot since 2014 and so have some of the issues, headaches and heartache. These groups are often in for 2-3 night stays for things such as concerts, sporting events, birthday parties, reunions, bachelor and bachelorette parties. The groups of friends I have experienced the most hiccups with are often self categorized as 'professionals in their 20s-40s', so while that is important info, please understand it does not, by itself, make me feel 'comfortable' with a large group of friends. If you are going to be the responsible party for a large group of friends, PLEASE think about each of your companions and make sure you don't have anyone in your group that naturally attracts problems or trouble. If you do, please consider a hotel over my home or that of others, as problematic issues can affect a landlord’s entire business if it involves neighbors or neighborhood issues. If you are reserving for a Group of Friends, please provide some details about your group and your comfort with this info with your inquiry. (I may request linked-in and/or facebook profiles that can help me feel more comfortable with you and your group.)

Beautifully rehabbed 160 year old Row Home on one of the most beautiful blocks in Baltimore. The front features a street full of Bradford Pear Trees, best seen in early spring....out back you'll a quaint yard shared between this property and 627 S. Paca St and there is also a large 1 car garage on the rear of the property. There is a small 2nd floor rear deck off the kitchen (which is on the 2nd floor) with views of Camden Yards, Raven’s Stadium, and our great neighborhood park. There is also a third floor deck with the same views along with a little of the local skyline. .....On the inside you'll find 2400 sf of contemporary loft style sure to click on link at the bottom of the page to see many more photos!!

When I come back to Baltimore on occasion, this is the home I stay in…..I enjoy sharing my home and Baltimore with folks from around the world...Children are most welcome but please look at the photos to decide if you're comfortable having them run around this house....Quiet, responsible drinkers and non-drinkers are welcome and smokers are welcome (but ALL smoking must be done outside with butts disposed of appropriately)....Drugs in any form are not welcome....

As for parking, there is a large garage that accomodates 1 vehicle less than 20' long......Other than that, this is a permit only neighborhood....although parking enforcement is not typically too bad if there are no ballgames, but a guaranteed ticket on game days.....I do have a visitors permit that may be used for a second vehicle, but you'll have to sign over your first born if anything happens to it!!! It's like gold, and once lost, it can't be replaced until next year!!!

Drop me a line with any questions!!

About The Owner

I lived in this home from 2003 through 2005 and then Holly joined me and we moved next door and turned this into a vacation rental. I am self employed (real estate and other things) and Holly has PhD in Aquatic Ecology. Holly got a wonderful opportunity to work in Monterey Bay CA in 2012, so we've relocated! I still return to Baltimore regularly for work.

Be sure to check out our reviews, and drop us a line with any questions!

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2004

Why The Owner chose Baltimore

Location, Location, Location....Just footsteps to Camden Yards, the convention center and in the inner harbor!

What makes this townhome unique

The home next door to this one is also a VRBO rental, so I can typically accomodate 18-20 people between the 2 homes, and there are several homes owned by others within 2 blocks that I can refer you two if your group requires more than 1 home and I can not accomodate.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The house was beautiful! the ladies thought we were staying in an MTV house and had an amazing time! Thanks for the communication and prompt attention to our emails. Thanks for opening up your home and giving us a great first trip to Baltimore!

The house is even better in person than the pictures. Bryan was very thorough and was prompt in responding to any questions and concerns. We had a wonderful stay and its location is great!

Perfect stay in Baltimore!

  • 5 of 5

This property was the perfect spot for our stay while attending a conference in Baltimore held in the Inner Harbor area. Very spacious and nice interior with exposed brick and an open style even with multiple floors, wonderful bathroom, great location to various sites, and easy access to run along the inner harbor. Excellent communication with the owner throughout the process (to include my relatively last minute inquiry on possible calendar changes), I highly recommend this property!

Proceed With Caution

  • 3 of 5

The house is pretty nice but all hardwood, tile, and steel grate floors are not very cozy. Our first night there was no heat, we were expected to live with space heaters. I am very glad it was not a colder night and that there were extra blankets because all of our party had not arrived. The owner offered no accommodation for this discomfort on check out. He also claimed a pet did damage to a comforter. We had no pets. There were pages of rules and warnings so I was not surprised that he found a way to keep some of our deposit. Then in follow up emails he needed to insult me.

Owner's Response: This home has two hvac systems and two portable heaters so people can dial in the heat with control. Gordon reported all good at 4pm check in. At 8pm he emailed indicating the Living Room t-stat was reading low, but he failed to reply to my email with questions related to basement furnace activity. Fortunately, my service person was in the neighborhood and he left his personal event to check on the heat/guest. He arrived within 45 minutes of the initial email. Seemingly, the furnace had timed out due to a pressure switch fault. He was able to reset the furnace and he pulled an extra portable heater out of storage. When he left, both hvac systems and three portable heaters were operational. And Gordon calls that 'no heat'. The pressure switch was replaced the next morn to avoid any future potential problems. I had no other interaction with Gordon during his stay. My cleaning person sent a photo of a damaged comforter indicating a dog or cat may have scratched on it. Gordon indicated he'd be bringing a small dog. I do provide lots of pages of information, but mostly related to helpful info for self-serve arrival, occupancy and departure from a 2100 sf, 180 year old row home. Before I could send Gordon an email related to the damaged comforter, I received a terse email stating expectations of a full deposit refund and compensation for 'no heat'. When I asked about the damaged comforter he stated it was of poor quality, he refused to own the damage, and he demanded one-hundred dollars for 'no heat'. Some guests know landlords fear negative reviews and they use that to pinch pennies on the back-end of a stay. Some owners refer to this as bad reviews for refunds program. I'm not going to get pushed into this kind of refund Please treat me and my home with respect, and I will do the same. If you refuse to take responsibility for damage and if you demand inappropriate refund compensation, I won't be as polite as I would be otherwise. As for extras he left out, I was able to accommodate a third car for him on several nights for no additional charge. He added a fourth night at time of booking w/o asking for a lower rate, and I voluntarily extended a discount of 8%/nt b/c that is what I would have quoted had he initially asked for 4 nights.. All guests are not created equal. Please read the reviews left for me and my properties by others and that should be self-evident. Proceed with caution is right. Just steer clear of Gordon.

Unbelievable property

  • 5 of 5

I have been using various websites like VRBO to rent properties for years instead of staying in overpriced hotels and 627 Paca street is by far the nicest place I have rented. It is completely renovated and is a really unique place. We attended a football game at M&T Stadium and could walk to the game. We also were walking distance from various bars including Federal Hill. We used Uber to access restaurants/bars that were too far to walk or if were getting back later at night. If you are looking for a place in this general area or to see Baltimore in general, you cannot go wrong!!
