Fabulous designer-decorated 5-bedroom chalet for 10 - 12 people over La Tzoumaz


A truly fabulous 5-bedroom chalet to rent during winter or summer in La Tzoumaz Chalet No 58 sleeps 10 to 12 people in 5 spacious bedrooms. The chalet has been decorated by a British-based designer to give a modern, homely twist on a traditional mountain theme. Designed with families and groups in mind, there is a large open kitchen / living / dining area with a fabulous stone fireplace and a breakfast bar. The bedroom on this floor is set up as a separate games/cinema room. A large rustic dining table seats up to 14 people, and the cinema set-up includes a 42-inch (107cm) LCD TV with surround sound. The chalet is easily identified from within the telecabin by its signature flag, so you can wave at anyone left behind on the balcony as you head up for another run!

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

On the lower level, the large master bedroom has a large comfortable double bed, doors to the outside terrace and direct access to the large family bathroom with bath, double size shower enclosure, twin his’n’hers sinks and WC. This bathroom can also be accessed from the corridor. There are two further twin rooms on this lower floor, one with access to the terrace and a private en-suite shower room with sink & WC.

On the upper level there are two further bedrooms, one large double with en-suite shower room with sink and WC, and the other with full-size bunk beds for two people, a double sofa-bed, wide-screen TV with DVD and PS3. There is an additional guest WC on this level.

If you are travelling with children under 2 years old, you’ll be pleased to know that Chalet No 58 is equipped with a cot and a high chair.


The open kitchen area has all that you would need to cook for large groups, including double oven and hob. There is a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee-machine, plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. An iron and hairdryer are available, and there is a portable barbecue for outdoor use.


The chalet has a dominating, elevated position above the village, so benefits from a stunning view across the nearby valley to the distant mountain peaks beyond. Sitting comfortably on one of the deck-chairs on the balcony, you can watch the telecabins steadily gliding past with their charge of skiers or mountain-bikers, or contemplate the tiny cars as they crawl across the Rhone valley floor several kilometers distant. In summer, the garden area provides you with the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of this calm location and listen to the birdsong coming from the nearby wooded area. Don’t forget to bring your PS3 games if you want to enjoy the PlayStation. If you want to indulge in some apres-ski, the Etablons bar is only a short 500m walk from the chalet.

In summer, there is parking for 2 or 3 cars next to the chalet. A 4-wheel drive vehicle with winter tyres and/or snow chains is required to access these spaces in winter due to the steep and snowy access road. Alternative parking is available 50m from the chalet if you do not have a 4-wheel-drive vehicle. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.


In good conditions, good skiers will be able to ski down the 100m cross-country to reach the main Savoleyres telecabin, and later follow the tracks across the countryside to ski-in to the chalet at the end of the day. For all other levels of skier, the main piste, the sledge run, the Etablons chairlift and the beginners’ ski area can all be reached after 500m walking or driving along the main road. Following the main piste down from this area takes you to the main Savoleyres telecabin. This modern, high-speed ski-lift carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.

We are very pleased to announce that we will be offering discounted ski-passes to everyone staying with us from Winter 2015/16. To be eligible for the 10% discount, ski-passes must be ordered and paid in full 12 days in advance of your first ski day. We accept all major credit cards. Orders received up to 2 days in advance are not eligible for the 10% discount however they will be printed for collection with your keys when you arrive in the resort. Last minute orders will be available for collection on the morning after you arrive. Discounted passes are available for all age-groups, for durations from one half-day up to 21 days, and cover the Savoleyres, Verbier or 4-Valleys sectors. The discount does not apply to the insurance options available. Ski-passes can neither be cancelled nor exchanged once they have been ordered. The discount is applicable in high, medium and low season and also applies to family rates. It is not cumulative with any other offers or reductions. On arrival in the resort we will also provide you with discount vouchers for various other services, such as ski equipment rental.


In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. The “Bisses” are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We’ll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier.

In the peak summer season from early July to late August, the telecabin link to Verbier operates daily from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.

We are Percy and Anna Kirkman, and we live in La Tzoumaz all year round, love outdoor sports, and are passionate about the beauty and opportunities of the region. We are fluent in both English and French. Originally from England, we both followed international careers within Procter & Gamble before making a life-changing move to the mountains at the end of 2013. Marvelous as usual...

Once again my family and I came to this chalet and we really did have a good time. The chalet was in good condition and neat. Everything was perfect with no real issues. The only thing I wish they would do is to pave the driveway, other than that everything was perfect. The kids loved the fireworks as the chalet was in the best place to enjoy the fireworks as if was made for you. Again, thank you Anna & Percy and until next summer.

Excellent even for the 5th time

really really nice property with very nice location (if you can ski off piste otherwise the ski down to the gondola willwake you right up). Super cozy. The view absolutely terrific

We bring our own food and only shops twice during the week. If you need restaurants shopping everyday it is a bit out of the way. But very nice place to be left alone

Percy and Anna particularly nice and helpful.

Amazing property with all facilities you need

We spent un amazing weekend with family and friend in the chalet which has all facilities you may need and it is so cosy and comfortable. I will recommend this accomodation to everyone who wants to spend a great time with a wonderful view and marvelous accommodation. Anna and Percy are so nice and they will assure everything goes as you planned

One simple word GREAT....

Thank you Anna & Percy for all the work and help especially when arriving and the car incident. The chalet was as described and the view from the chalet was beautiful and more. We, my wife and kids enjoyed the large space and the serenity of the place, away from all. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and it was a great to have a washing machines in the chalet when you have kids. The bedrooms and toilets were clean,sunny, and sizable. The video library was a good mix and helped to relax the kids after a long day while cooking. The location was perfect for us as it was close to all the areas that we intended to visit. If anything, I would liked for the grass in front of the house to be cut and to inspect the water pressure "both are not a big deal at all". We arrived on Sunday and Percy was kind enough to bring me a bottle of wine when asked as the supermarket was closed.Check in and check out was fast and easy and Percy was helpful in helping us to connect to the wifi which was great to have. My family and I would definitely come back or at least to a property managed by Anna & Percy. I do recommend the property to luxury lovers...Thank you again for making our stay hassle free Anna and Percy and see you next summer....

p.s. 5 minutes drive from the chalet you will find restaurants, cafes, supermarket &a tourist office.
