This is the most amazing cabin in the world. It has everything a person could want and more! Very neat and amazingly clean! Nice little town within walking distance. View is stunning and great for pets as well. We are already planning our next stay. Thank you for everything!
We had been looking forward to this getaway together for MONTHS.. and unlike some of our past VRBO bookings, Sandra's cabin completely exceeded our expectations! It was fully stocked in addition to a guest basket full of coffee, food, you name it. We also found plenty of laundry detergent, flashlights, extra blankets, supplies, anything you could possibly need! We loved the decor and the extremely comfortable beds, and especially the huge, incredible deck (not to mention the view)! We booked this house to have a home base halfway point between Zion and Bryce as we knew we would be doing a lot of hiking. However, we didn't realize that the cabin would be at a MUCH higher elevation than both parks, so were a little surprised to find ourselves going from hot desert weather in Zion to a complete snow storm while driving the 30 mile trek up the mountain to the cabin (we found out from a park ranger in Zion that Navajo lake located in Duck Creek Village is the start of the Virgin River and had just started it's melting process). The main road was well maintained albeit the snow, but the short road to the cabin was definitely 4WD worthy between the snow and falling rocks (in April). Overall an incredible stay!!! Sandra and her assistant were very helpful with the planning process. Would definitely go back!
We stayed at the Cabin for two nights over a long weekend. The cabin was clean and nice inside and had everything we needed for the weekend. We planned on taking it easy with our two kids and dogs. Spent most of the weekend playing in the snow, playing games inside and just relaxing. It was the perfect place for a laid back quiet weekend. The views were great, a million stars to see at night and total peace and quiet. We had a great time.
We enjoyed the cabin so much. It had everything we needed and more. Location was great. After long hikes, we were so glad to have a warm, comfortable home away from home to unwind. We cooked in the fully equipped kitchen and slept so well. We only wish we stayed longer.
Our stay was great!! We will definitely be back!! Great location. Wonderful size cabin and i loved how equipped the cabin is made the stay very nice.
It was such a lovely and peaceful place to spend Thanksgiving. It snowed over a foot! We were treated to wild turkeys just outside the living room window. The deck was glorious for watching the snow fall and getting a breath of fresh air. We watched movies while in the cozy comfort of this wonderful winter cabin. Thank you so much for the opportunity.
This cabin is ideally situated for exploring both Zion and Bryce and has all the appointments one could wish for. Unfortunately, all the appliances were not operating. The washing machine had been rendered inoperable as the on/off switch had been stripped. The electric fireplace's on/off worked only intermittently. We replaced the battery in the remote but the remote's contacts no longer work. We resorted to the manual on/off which was responsive -- sometimes, but not reliably. Every single time we closed the refrigerator the compressor churned causing us to fear that it too might fail. I will say the owner responded to a text message for help immediately. She was most pleasant but could offer no help and we suspected she had may have encountered these problems before. Still, she needs to address these issues quickly. With the exception of these mechanical hassles, our stay was great and I would recommend this spot to anyone -- as along as you get assurances that everything is working properly. I would have definitely given this 5 stars if everything had been in working order.
Year round recreation is enjoyed by many in the Duck Creek Village area. It is an ideal vacation spot for your entire family. With the elevation ranging between 8,500 and 11,000 feet, the summers are nice and cool, and the winters are cozy and peaceful. You can enjoy yourself by fishing the clear lakes and streams, hiking the trails through the pine and aspen trees, bicycling, horseback riding, boating and ATV riding in the summer. Visiting Navajo Lake, Duck Creek Pond, Aspen Mirror Lake and Panguitch Lake can be a relaxing escape from the big city life.
During the fall season, you may observe magnificent colors of yellow, orange, red, brown and green in the forest.
The winter wonderland brings a complete change of scenery. Snowmobilers and cross country skiers enjoy miles of hidden beauty in the winter.
Some of America's most beautiful National Parks are located in all directions. Plan a road trip to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, or Cedar Breaks National Monument.
