We decided in 2007 to start offering our rental unit during the spring-summer-fall season to help bring 1-4 people to our lovely village at a resonable price. Seems that this was a good decision as we've had young couples w/wo kids, older sunbirds and of course those in between. Consequently, we've decided to offer our Guest Suite for all four seasons as we have had inquiries for such because of what the AREA provides.
My wife is of third generation born in Sodus Point and my roots are from all around Sodus Bay, we have stories to tell !
Love to see you during your next visit to the area.

Charles purchased this townhome in 1969
Beautiful Sodus Bay would entice anyone to become part of the area - a site to behold !!!
This year 2009 -- we have lowered rates from last year to help the local economy and of course yourself !!!!
Sodus Lotus is highly recommended to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Sodus Point area. The accommodations were exactly as advertised, and the amenities were more than expected. Charles was readily available for any need, yet unobtrusive. He immediately fixed any problem, example, the coffee pot quit working and by the afternoon a new pot was provided. Sodus Lotus is surrounded by very well kept and beautiful lawns and gardens. The grounds were clean, as was the house. Sodus Lotus is in a great little town, beautiful location near Lake Ontario. Great restaurants in the area. If in the area again, will definitely look forward to a repeat stay!
We just loved the place, it was clean and nice. The owner, Charles, was very nice and always offering if you needed anything or to help in anyway. He couldn't have been any nicer & a great host. We will stay there any time we come back to Sodus Point and I would recommend people to stay here. It is also close to town & easy to get around from there.
My sister and I and her 2 grandchildren (7 and 9) just spent a fantastic week at Sodus Lotus. This colonial house and grounds were beautifully kept and the owner, Charles, was hospitable and kind. Our accommodations were very spacious including a full kitchen, living room with large L-shaped couch, air-conditioner, TV, pantry and laundry closet with full size washer and dryer on the lower level and upstairs was an oversize bedroom with air conditioner and remodeled bathroom. In the hallway was a very large closet. The kitchen was fully stalked with pots and pans, utensils, plates, paper products etc. The neighborhood was very nice, a couple of minutes on foot or by car to the bay and lake. In the late afternoon, we saw deer frolicking in the backyard! There is a great playground at the beach for the kids. I would definitely stay at Sodus Lotus again and highly recommend it.
First of all thank you for your hospitality and beautiful accommodations.
I arrived first and immediately saw 8 deer across the street hanging out by a mulberry tree. Made me smile.
I walked in the Sodus lotus after being greeted by a personalized note welcoming my husband and I telling us to "make ourselves at home". (My husband joined me later after unloading boat at marina).
Good size kitchen with a quaint island seating that led into a good size living room, ample space and then upstairs a beautiful large bedroom and separate bath, again ample size. Did I mention the closets were huge! Staying there for a week it was necessary to have all the accommodations of home and the Sodus lotus had just that. We felt right at home, walked out back which was absolutely adorable with a summer fire pit enclosed area, grill and patio to use (although we didn't get to enjoy it as our nights were early). My husband you see is a professional fishing charter captain and the mornings are very early.
We would most definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a wonderful, relaxing and very clean getaway quiet place to stay. By the way, walks in the morning are just a hop and a skip from Lake Ontario and I would recommend going for the sunrise view alone a can't miss! One of the best!
We noticed they were selling the place and sad to hear as we loved it, but they shared that the new owners would continue to rent it out. Great news and we're hoping to rent it for another week next year! So glad we found this place.
Best of luck to you Charles and Esther - very sweet couple.

My family greatly enjoyed our stay at the Sodus Lotus. Charles and and his wife are gracious hosts and were very accommodating during our stay. The apartment/townhome was very clean and welcoming, the yard was large and very well maintained and it is a quick 5 minute walk away from the Lighthouse Museum. If you are staying in the Sodus Point area you cannot go wrong with staying at the Sodus Lotus!
Wow!!! What a beautiful, well maintained property.
The gardens are meditative - found myself restarting my yoga practice. Charles is an avid gardener and it shows. So many lovely spots to just " be ". The accommodations were perfect - spacious, comfortable, well supplied and immaculate. The location is ideal - short walk to Lake Ontario, the Lighthouse , Bay and restaurants. We loved staying at the Sodus Lotus. We walked, rode bikes, hiked gorgeous Chimney Bluffs (about 20min drive). You can cook your own meals or eat out. Book it!! You will not be disappointed.
