Walla Walla Bungalow Rental Photos and Description

Second Floor Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Welcome to the Bennington Bungalow! This clean, cozy, charming two bedroom second floor guest house has been restored with love! It is located next to beautiful Pioneer Park. The 'Bungalow' is just minutes from downtown or your favorite winery.

Enjoy the historic downtown of Walla Walla. The shops, restaurants, wine tasting and art galleries are within easy walking or driving distance We provide Maps, brochures and local magazines for your exploration and convenience. We are naturally happy to share “insider information” with you about our favorite wineries, dining establishments, hikes, bike rides and events.

We have decorated the apartment with a fine wine and dining theme to tempt the senses. The colors and textures were inspired by beautiful and nearby Bennington Lake (Be sure to bring your fishing pole!). The house architecture is reminiscent of the mission era of the early 1900's (The house was originally built in 1917). We have complemented the Bungalow with several 'Stickly' or 'Arts and crafts' furniture pieces from the era. Also on display is artwork from the wine region of Walla Walla and the Northwest.

The kitchen is fully stocked to encourage cooking if you so choose. There is abundant fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients from the valley for your culinary experience. You might want to visit our local farmers market on weekends!

Relax and watch the sunset from the upstairs porch, and sip some wine while listening to the exotic bird calls from the park as dusk approaches...the air cools as you wait for the stars to appear. While the afternoon summers can be hot in Walla Walla… the evenings are cooling and pleasant!

Walla Walla is blessed with wonderful universities and colleges that add diversity to the growing economy of the area. Whitman College is the nearest campus to the 'Bungalow,' and Walla Walla University and Walla Walla Community College are an easy driving distance. We encourage our guests to visit the local Colleges and explore the diversity these institutions provide to our community.

We hope you will find your stay at Bennington Bungalow relaxing and rejuvenating. Enjoy and relax! Remember, there is always something fun to do in Walla Walla!

Why Dave and Melissa chose Washington

The home was built in 1917. We love the sloping roof line to the front of the house. It makes this craftsman one of the more unique homes in Walla Walla. Pioneer park is a real gem. We are close to downtown and easy driving distance to the Bennington Lake recreation area.

Wonderful retreat!

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here with his visiting mother. The upstairs apartment is lovely and Dave was very gracious and accommodating to us during our visit. We loved their cute little tiger cat!

Perfect Walla Walla home base

  • 5 of 5

This was our third stay at the Bennington Bungalow. The location is great and the property is perfect for our needs. We cooked two dinners in the kitchen and was able to find everything we needed.

Gem in the green belt

  • 5 of 5

Clean and quiet, Dave and Melissa's separate apartment above their home is a half block away from Pioneer Park, a (vigorous) walk into town, and frendlier than a barrel of wine - which they also give you (a comped bottle, not a barrel). Highly rcommended!

Delightful Stay

  • 4 of 5

I loved my stay at the Bennington Bungalow. It is about a two minute drive to Whitman College where my daughter attends. My sister and I rented the upstairs apartment in this very quiet neighborhood and combined the visit with my daughter with some really fun wine tasting only 15 minutes away in the countryside. The apartment is equipped with books and pamphlets on things to do in Walla Walla, including a book on wineries in the area. The kitchen is well-outfitted with all the dishes and utensils you need, plus quality dish soap. (I'm mentioning the amenities so you don't bother bringing your own.) Dave and Melissa even supplied coffee beans and ground decaf. Now, who does that?? Really nice hosts, that's who. There was also herbal and regular tea and oatmeal. How convenient and thoughtful! The apartment is really adorable with wine decor, beautiful antique lamps, and super-cushy bedding. The bathroom is equipped with two hair-dryers, shampoo and conditioner, soap and, of course, towels. Really nice amenities. I highly recommend the Bennington Bungalow!

Colorado visitors

What a lovely apartment! We really enjoyed the coolness provided by our accommodations during the four days of temps above 100 degrees. The kitchen was sunny for our early morning breakfasts before hiking. Our afternoons were spent visiting wine tasting rooms. By the time we returned we were really hot & tired, & the apartment was cool & refreshing.

Dave & Melissa were very helpful with our wine purchases because we had to ready them for checking in at the Pasco airport. And, since we had never been to Walla Walla they were a wealth of info for us about the area & all it had to offer.

Great stay in the Bungalow!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay while we were visiting our daughter during her summer dance lab at Whitman. The upper floor of the house had plenty of room for us and she and her friend when they visited us for dinner. Very comfortable and inviting. Thank you!
