Our furnished 2 level townhouse is ideal for family vacations or a comfortable 'rendezvous' venue for friends. The view and tranquil atmosphere are it's unique features. From the living room (with fireplace and balcony), the Master Bedroom, downstairs bonus room, and downstairs 2nd bedroom, you will awake to a gorgeous view of the mountains and forest area. The third bedroom is downstairs with 2 twin beds. Steps from the back door are the nearby hiking trails that are excellent for snow shoeing/hiking. The ski resort shuttle now stops just 1/2 block from the townhouse.
On the entry level (upstairs), the living room has a couch with sleeper, love seat and comfortable over-sized chaise. The TV/DVD and fireplace are both great features of this room.
The bonus area downstairs is also an added plus. Furnished with a sleeper sofa, comfortable full-sized pillow chairs, bunk beds, and a new TV/DVD, it is ideal for gathering for a movie, playing games, or cuddling up to read a good book.
Convenient access to ski resort via shuttle and to trails. Sleeps 11 comfortably. Lots of light, excellent condition, incredible views, open space in back, quiet.
Very nice place to stay and experience Winter Park. Quite neighborhood with great access to hiking trails and a short drive into town and skiing.
The single car garage was a big plus to keep the snow off our car and it allowed us to keep the skis on the ski rack at night so we were ready to go to the mountain in the morning.
Overall, a great place to stay!
My family loved the condo. Close to the ski hill, sledding out the back door, and very cozy ambiance. Everyone had a wonderful time, from my 4 year-old niece to my 65 year-old mom.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. It's much more spacious then the pictures do it justice I think. It's convenient to everything...about a 5.5 mile easy drive to Winter Park and Mary Jane. But the absolute best thing about this town home is the proximity to miles and miles of trails for hiking, xcountry skiing and snow shoeing. They're right out of your back door. Everyone is pretty dog friendly, so once we were up a bit into the woods, the dogs were off leash and loving it! Also, right out the back door are places to go sledding for the kids. We will definitely rent this house again for Winter Park stays.
This is a nicely appointed unit in a lovely area called Rendezvouz just between Winter Park and Fraser. This is the middle unit of a tri-plex with nice views across the small valley and of the top of the ski area. With the completion of the "new" road you are only a mile or so from downtown Winter Park.
Unlike many condos I've rented, this one had a well-furnished kitchen with plenty of glasses, plates, and cooking equipment. There's lots of furniture, too, giving seating for seven around the dining table and six or seven around the fireplace in the evening. Additional seating is available downstairs in the den area. There's definitely places to sleep 11 folks, but because of all of the furniture and relatively small square footage, you'll definitely feel a little like you're on top of each other with the remaining narrow passageways even with parties much smaller. For example, there are two stools to eat at the breakfast bar, but there's no realistic way to have someone sitting there and in dining room chairs simultaneously.
There's limited shuttle service from the area to the resort at peak ski season (but not other times). Shuttle use is free for renters but use of the "lodge" (warm room) at Zephyr Mountain Lodge is restricted to owners only.
Want to come home at watch the big game after a day on the slopes? Hope it's not on ESPN, as the Dish package subscribed here must only carry the very basic of channels and not ESPN. Want to stream it instead? Well, there's no wifi nor internet access provided in the unit either. Verizon coverage was adequate but Sprint subscribers could barely connect.
Overall a nicely appointed unit that was comfortable for my party.
Our family had a wonderful time staying in this Townhouse. We appreciated the little touches like the ready to go humidifier, which we didn't comprehend the value thereof and heated mattress on the bunk bed. But by far the moose walking in the woods behind the townhouse was the most wonderful thing for us out-of-staters. Quite incredible.
My friends and I stayed here while we boarded at Winter Park and tubed at Colorado Adventure Park and everything was great! The location was very convenient! The townhouse was awesome and comfortably accommodated 6 of us. The owners were great to work with as well! We would definitely come back to stay again!
