About The Owner

Family of 5 who love northern Michigan!

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2004

Why The Owner chose Michigan

a perfect setting off the track, but close to anything 'upnorth', large property with a 'buy me, you won't be dissappointed' message.

What makes this cottage unique

Nature wonderland; frogs, beavers, fox, eagles, sounds of howling (coyotes...wolves?) fish. hammock snoozes, completed books, campfires, smores, more fish, flowers, peace, 'on golden pond 'ambiance, cozy comfort everywhere, wood on floors and walls is serene

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your cabin is such a lovely place in all ways.

I was completely stressed out when we arrived and completely blissful when we left.

It was just right for my father and son too, who shared the upstairs bedroom.

I loved the dishware in the kitchen and all the green, yellow and orange glass accents. So pretty.

I left a comment. Hope it encourages others to stay at your place.

Great Cabin up North

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Cabin and the property. Enjoyed sitting out on the great deck and watching the beautiful sunset. Very quiet and peaceful. Cabin was very clean and well equipped. Close to Macinaw City and Petoskey . Great to bring our two dogs. Hedi & Dieter F. July 2015

Quiet get away

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed a nice week off from all the stress at work. The cabin is clean and well kept. Its in a good location to enjoy all what northern Michigan has to offer. We ate at Legs in Cross Village to enjoy the best Polish food since my Grandmother was alive. We canoed on the Sturgeon river which is always exciting but even more so this time , with very high water. Thanks again for a worry free stay.

A Wonderful Week

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 adults and 1 11yr. old girl had a wonderful visit at the Lily Pad. The cottage itself is a lovely and well kept home with all the amenities including plenty of storage space which is unusual in most cottages. We lucked out with a beautiful weather week in the mid to high 70's and blue skies. We enjoyed kayaking and our attempts at fishing (we'll get them next time!). We visited Petoskey, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, and Cheboygan where we ate at a delicious restaurant, Pier 33 on the river. The meal at Legs Inn in Cross Village was great as well. The cottage location is so close to so many places and activities that I still have a list of things we did not have time to do or visit. Now, if we could just get rid of those pesky mosquitoes after sunset, we would know we were close to heaven.

Perfect Getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Lily Pad. The cabin had everything we could hope for and the property was fantastic. The sunsets, the sound of the loons, and the privacy were all the perfect prescription for a relaxing getaway. The location is ideal for so many trips to many great northern Michigan destinations. Thank you for the perfect stay!!

Key to Relaxation

  • 5 of 5

The Lily Pad was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing and just wonderful. Great location and near many cities for day trips. We would definitely rent this cottage again. We highly recommend the Northwood Restaurant. Also, the Cheboygan Country Club offers a deal on golf on Wednesday and Saturday. The rate for 18 holes w/cart was $20. Can't beat that and it was a challenging course.
