I was born in 1951 in Brussels and I am maried since 1975 to Monique. We have 2 dauhgters, 1 son in law and 2 grand children. I have been working most of my career in the IT industry and retired since a couple of years.
We live in the neighbourhood of Brussels.

We bought this apartment in 2010 and had it completely overhauled and renovated in 2010 and 20&1, sparing no cost.
We are often in this apartment with the grand children due to the fact that it is only 4 km (or 3 tramway stops) from the famous thema park PLOPSALAND and PLOPSAQUA.
We fell in love with the architecture of the building and the south orientation of the apartment giving lots of light and roomy feeling. A very rare sight at our Belgian coast where most apartments don't offer that feeling.
Calm area, plenty of room for 4/6 people, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, only 100m from the beach, private enclosed parking available optionally.
Nature reserves with ample hiking and walking possibilities within 4 km's.
PLOPSALAND within 4 km's distance accessible by tramway (stop at 250m) so no need to take the car.
We also love nature and we specifically chose De Panne for its large natural reserves where walking is still permitted within the boundries of the tracks.
Sehr schön eingerichtete und saubere Wohnung, mit allem was man braucht. Die Lage im Zentrum von De Panne könnte nicht besser sein. Restaurants, Strand, Geschäfte, Tramhaltestelle, Supermärkte und Bäckereien alle in sehr kurzer Zeit zu Fuß zu erreichen, aber trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Die Garage mit zu mieten ist ratsam, da der öffentliche Parkraum sehr begrenzt ist.
Selten trifft man auf ein so gut eingerichtetes Appartement wie dieses in De Panne. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und gepflegt. In der großzügigen Küchenzeile fehlte es an nichts, und - ganz selten - es gab scharfe Messer und kein Billig-Besteck. Töpfe, Pfannen, Teller, alles in guter Qualität.
Wir haben uns dieses App. gemerkt, da wir öfter mal einen Kurztrip an die belgische Küste machen. Hierhin kommt man gern wieder. Sehr empfehlenswert. Auch wegen der Nähe von 2 Supermärkten (Delhaize und Carrefour zu Fuß in 5 min) sowie demnächst neu ein Lidl. Guter Bäcker und Metzger auf der Duinkerkelaan. Und natürlich eine ganze Reihe guter Restaurants.
Our 85m² modern 2 bedroom apartment is located in a calm area in the most western Belgian coastal town, near the French border.
You’ll also find theme park PLOPSALAND in our town. This park boosts lots of attractions for the children and their family, a children theatre with daily shows and recently a brand new sub-tropical aquatic park build around the “Wicky the Viking” theme.
De Panne also has no less than 4 big natural reserves all accessible on foot. The biggest is the famous “Nature Reserve De Westhoek” filling up the void between the town and the French border. This reserve allows for hiking trips of up to 15 km’s or 10 miles.
Our coastal town has the widest beach on the Belgian coast where, at low tide, you’ll need to walk a mile or so to reach the water line (at sping tide).
The beach has ample bars with beach side terraces and rental services for sun beds, parasols and/or wind breaker screens.
If you feel for it and you know how, you can rent horses or beach sail cars and have a run on the more than 8 km beach between De Panne and the French border.
Windsurfing and kite surfing are also possible but you’ll have to watch the information boards for approval or ask the life guards. Life guard protection is guaranteed daily in July and August.
