Light-filled home in Capitol Hill's vibrant and safe Eastern Market neighborhood -- rated one of America's 10 most walkable communities!
Please note: we are not booking dates during the presidential inauguration until after the election.
New in 2003, our place has everything you need to enjoy your visit to DC. Ideal for a couple or family, with Aerobeds available upon request. We take care of the details so you don't feel nickel-dimed -- and can enjoy a hassle-free stay.
Best of all, our central location means no fighting Washington’s traffic snarls, or paying top dollar for parking -- or parking tickets! Nearby: everything you'd want to see in DC:
The US Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress are a 10-minute stroll away.
Head 4 blocks north, through our neighborhood of historic rowhouses, to get to Metro's Eastern Market station, on the direct route to top destinations -- the Smithsonian, the White House, the Washington Convention Center, the new American Indian museum, the FDR and Jefferson Memorials, Ford's Theatre, the International Spy Museum and more are a 10-minute ride away. Or stay on the subway for a bit longer to get to the National Zoo, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Kennedy Center.
To our east is Barracks Row, home to the President's Own (Marine Corps Band) and the Marine Commandant, and a restaurant row for nightlife. And to our south are the Washington Nationals' new stadium, the Navy Yard, and the new Transportation Department HQ.
On the way back home, stop at Eastern Market's produce, meat, dairy and flower stalls -- or pop into one of Barracks Row's cafes, bars or restaurants. Several grocery/drug/liquor stores are within walking/driving distance.
Owners are long-time DC residents and neighbors who are happy to answer questions and share tips for visitors.

We stayed an entire week at Deborah's delightful apartment. Very clean, comfortable king sized bed, and nice amenities included.
This Apartment is in a very nIce location, very safe. As we were not familiar with satellite TV, we did experience an issue with the TV, and shortly after I called Deborah for help, she resolved it to our satisfaction immediately. Very impressed with the timeliness of her response to our call. We did not have a car, so the little grocery cart I found in the closet proved to be a very attractive feature so I could easily walk to the grocery store and not worry about lugging heavy packages back to the apartment.
Deborah included good info about the neighborhood which we appreciated.
I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone planning to travel to DC.
My girlfriend and I were very comfortable over the weekend at this rental. The metro is close and the neighborhood is friendly and safe. There is a great strip of restaurants only 2 blocks away. We would definitely stay here again.
The owner was so helpful, and checking in and out was stress-free. Great neighborhood and perfect location. We will be back!
The home was neat and as described. The beds were comfortable. Parking was a real plus and the neighborhood was safe with many restaurants within walking distance.
Such a great place to stay! Deborah thought about every detail and made this a gem of a place. My daughter forget to bring her portable fan. She likes to sleep with one blowing on her. Well, Deborah had a small fan available!!
It is the perfect place if you have come to tour DC. We used Lyft during our stay and our drivers came quickly. We ate at two nearby restaurants. There are many walking distance to choose from. Very safe neighborhood.
The king size bed was a plus for my 6'4 husband. Will definitely be using this gem again in the future!
We are a family of 4, two adults and a 15 year old and 12 year old. Accommodations were great for us, parents in the master bedroom, futon and fold down couch in the living room area for the kids. Very clean. Grocery store is less than a 10 minute walk, Eastern Market subway stop about 5 minutes. Most of our destinations (Capital Mall, Smithsonians, etc.) were 3-5 stops away and subway frequency is quite often - don't think we ever waited more than 8 minutes. Stayed cool during our visit in June-July. Has DishTV and wi-fi. Deborah, the owner, was very responsive to our needs and was an excellent source for advice on all things DC and her responses to texts were very timely. The Metro Subway system is undergoing improvements and she was great at giving us alternatives to getting around. I would recommend this place to friends. Also, 8th Street has a lot of nice shops/restaurants.
Capitol Hill -- near Eastern Market. The Navy Yard, US Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress and new Nationals stadium are a short stroll away. Metro's blue/orange line is even closer -- and a direct link to the Smithsonian, the White House, the Washington Convention Center, the new American Indian museum, the FDR and Jefferson Memorials, Ford's Theatre, the International Spy Museum and more.
On the way back home, stop at Eastern Market's farmers' stalls, relax at Barracks Row's cafes, bars or restaurants, or run errands at several nearby grocery/drug/liquor stores -- all within walking/driving distance.
Other Activities: National Mall, Smithsonian museums, driving range
