About Keith

I am a lifelong Carolinea boy, having grown up in NC and then living in SC since 1981.

Keith purchased this farmhouse in 2005

Why Keith chose South Carolina

Toogoodoo Bluff is so unique and special. It offers an authenic Lowcountry experience and not just another beach week. The structures are all very historic and meticuously renovated. The high bluff overlooking the river and marshes are therapeutic. Toogoodoo Bluff is not a place, it is an experience.

What makes this farmhouse unique

As previously stated, Toogoodoo Bluff is not just another week at the beach even though we are only a short drive to Edisto Beach. It allows for groups to be together without having to be together in a single structure.

Amazing Experience

  • 5 of 5

Just came back from a long girls getaway at Toogoodoo Bluff and it was amazing! I had been once before, for a family reunion, and thought it would be difficult to re-create the magic of my first visit, but I was wrong. There is something truly special about this setting. I don't know if it's the beautiful views with awe inspiring sunsets or the comfort, history and attention to every detail in the beautifully decorated spaces, but it's something you feel as soon as you arrive. In our group it was funny how often we would look at each other and say, "How lucky are we to be here!!!". There are lots of great places to gather as well as lots of beautiful places for solitude. We particularly enjoyed having a glass of wine down on the dock at sunset, gathering in the large kitchen as we cooked, and playing games and watching movies in the den of the farmhouse. This is a perfect place for reconnecting and spending time together.

Unique property is lovely, spacious, and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Like others, I came with a large group to Toogoodoo Bluff and found the spacious grounds and separate buildings a great way for everyone to spread out and relax, yet come together at the huge dining table or roomy porches for food, drinks, and fun. Keith is an amiable and responsive host, and happily shared the history of each building. Even though our group ventured out to Edisto Beach and Charleston, I would have been happy to spend my entire visit relaxing at Toogoodoo Bluff due to its ambiance and amenities. Looking forward to returning!

Gorgeous place to relax

  • 5 of 5

I recently came to Toogoodoo for a girls weekend and had such a fabulous time. The house and cottages are comfortable and feel like home. The setting on the bluff makes for stunning views. The location is truly idilic and conducive to relaxation. There is also plenty to do with the outdoor lawn games, multiple outdoor spaces for lounging/talking/eating, the dock for fishing and dolphin watching, and of course nearby Charleston for shopping and dining. Keith is a dear and quite helpful. All positive things to say here!

Wonderful Historic Home on Beautiful Toogoodoo

  • 5 of 5

I celebrated my graduation from MUSC by having a large group of family and friends down to Toogoodoo Bluff. We all couldn't get over how beautiful this place was and enjoyed many hours on the dock relaxing and enjoying the view. The house is extremely well equipped with almost anything you would need to cook. Keith was a wonderful person to work with and answered every single question I had in a timely manner. He was a wonderful host. The day we were scheduled to leave, our family was already discussing a return visit!

Perfect girls weekend location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Toogoodoo Bluffs for a long girls weekend, with 14 30-somethings ladies. It was the perfect space - several beautiful porches to relax with a glass of wine, plus an incredible deck. Plenty of space for everyone to have a real bed, and multiple houses, each with their own kitchen areas, allowed for everyone to have separate spaces to stay up late - or to get up early and enjoy a coffee without waking the night owls. We took taxis into Charleston for a night out (buses from an Edisto-based taxi company) easily, and were quite convenient to Edisto beach. That said, there isn't much reason to bother going further than the dock (with DOLPHINS to watch!)!

Each house was charming, with a different character, and Keith was a lovely host. We highly recommend and would certainly visit again!

Great family fun

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time! The kids loved all the space outside to play, and the grandparents loved all the places to sit and watch them. Keith is super. He had great suggestions for what to do in the area, and the place accommodated everyone from the grandparents to the one-year-old to the dog. We had a little glitch late one night, and Keith was totally accessible and responsive.
