About Keith

I am a lifelong Carolinea boy, having grown up in NC and then living in SC since 1981.

Keith purchased this farmhouse in 2005

Why Keith chose Charleston Area

Toogoodoo Bluff is so unique and special. It offers an authenic Lowcountry experience and not just another beach week. The structures are all very historic and meticuously renovated. The high bluff overlooking the river and marshes are therapeutic. Toogoodoo Bluff is not a place, it is an experience.

What makes this farmhouse unique

As previously stated, Toogoodoo Bluff is not just another week at the beach even though we are only a short drive to Edisto Beach. It allows for groups to be together without having to be together in a single structure.

TRUE GEM

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our experience at Toogoodoo was wonderful right from the start. When I contact Keith he was extremely friendly and was able to answer all the (probably annoying) questions I had about his property. We booked the property for a family reunion. Upon arrival we were blown away by the setting, the property sits looking down on Toogoodoo creek, it has a great dock that we took full advantage of. We were impressed that Keith leaves kayaks and canoe's for his renters to use. All three houses were charming in their own right. They were immaculate clean when we arrived. The farm house was the number one hangout spot over our stay. I cant expressed how much we enjoyed our stay. We have already booked for next year. You can tell that Keith has poured his heart and soul into this property and it really shows.

Cant wait for next year!!!!

Charleston's Best Kept Secret

  • 5 of 5

My sister-in-law booked this place for her family to stay during her daughter's wedding weekend. My family was invited over to sit by the campfire with them on Friday night. From the time we drove up into the driveway it absolutely took my breath away. And then we had the treat of viewing the big house which is something out of a storybook. The decor is elegant, yet simple and definitely reflects the old Charleston charm. As I walked through the house I kept telling myself it doesn't get any better than this. That's the moment I realized the best kept secret around was awaiting just outside the back door. The view is remarkable. Picture a firepit with a beautiful river running beside it while you and your loved ones sit back and take it all in. But wait. That's not all. There is a fishing dock that is amazing. I was in awe as I stood there watching the guys pull in trout and red drums one after another. Dinner for later of course. I took my 17 year old son with me to see this beautiful plantation and his reply to me was "Mom I never want to leave." We absolutely cannot wait to go back. I think this would be the perfect setting for a family reunion. There are two smaller homes right next door. I would recommend this vacation as a must do for you and your family. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this great retreat!

Loved this place!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned, after spending a long weekend for our son's wedding. Toogoodoo is beautiful and so peaceful. Both families were able to be together, while having our own separate living space. The owner is so kind and helpful. We can't wait to return!

Spent our wedding weekend at Toogoodoo

  • 5 of 5

This was my 2nd trip to Toogoodoo and we will definately be back. When we got there I never wanted to leave. It has everything we needed luxury wise, but gave us a feel of going back in time. When you open the front door southern charm hits you in the face. It represents family gatherings and good times. There's something for everyone. I highly recommend the Bluff for your next getaway.

Amazing Experience

  • 5 of 5

Just came back from a long girls getaway at Toogoodoo Bluff and it was amazing! I had been once before, for a family reunion, and thought it would be difficult to re-create the magic of my first visit, but I was wrong. There is something truly special about this setting. I don't know if it's the beautiful views with awe inspiring sunsets or the comfort, history and attention to every detail in the beautifully decorated spaces, but it's something you feel as soon as you arrive. In our group it was funny how often we would look at each other and say, "How lucky are we to be here!!!". There are lots of great places to gather as well as lots of beautiful places for solitude. We particularly enjoyed having a glass of wine down on the dock at sunset, gathering in the large kitchen as we cooked, and playing games and watching movies in the den of the farmhouse. This is a perfect place for reconnecting and spending time together.

Unique property is lovely, spacious, and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Like others, I came with a large group to Toogoodoo Bluff and found the spacious grounds and separate buildings a great way for everyone to spread out and relax, yet come together at the huge dining table or roomy porches for food, drinks, and fun. Keith is an amiable and responsive host, and happily shared the history of each building. Even though our group ventured out to Edisto Beach and Charleston, I would have been happy to spend my entire visit relaxing at Toogoodoo Bluff due to its ambiance and amenities. Looking forward to returning!
