We had a wonderful time.
The condo was spacious, pristine and set in a beautiful spot. We spent the first few days -- which were unusually rainy -- touring Bates, Bowdoin & Colby -- and then had splendid sunshine for Saturday.
This really is a great, beautiful spot. Thanks for arranging the rental.
Best regards, Nancy
What a great spot!! The condo is located right on the trail with easy access to the lifts. It is much larger than it appears on the website. We were thrilled with every aspect...it was clean, bright, spacious, organized well-equipped. There were plenty of FRESH linens and tons of storage space in cabinets and closets. We were extremely impressed with the ski equiptment area of the condo...plenty of space for skis,boots,shoes,bags,jackets,etc.....it was very well thought out! Thanks again, we are looking forward to coming back. -Courtney
What a wonderful home for a vacation! The house is actually much more spacious than it appears on the website. It is very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is fully loaded with all the silverware and cooking pans, pots. The location is conveniently located to many places, ~ 20 min to Naples Maine and ~30 min to White Mountain, North Conway, New Hampshire. It is a relax spot for summer time.
Sophie is very responsive during the rent process. We met in person while we checked in, and we felt being very welcomed to her home. Definitely will rent it again if we come back to Brigton Maine area.
My husband and I recently stayed at this condo with 3 friends. The location is unbeatable--literally steps from the lift and main lodge. The living room and kitchen are much larger then they appear in photos, and are fully equipped with all cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc--even coffee filters (which we forgot!). The downstairs provided an ample mud room area that made it easy to come in and take off all of our ski gear without causing a big mess, or cluttering the areas we were hanging out in. There was also a great big couch, TV, movies, games--which must be a hit for guests with families! For 5 adults, we felt that the bed space was good. I know there were a few roll-away cots, so you could likely sleep more. The fireplaces kept us warm and cozy--the only thing missing was a hot tub...but in the end the fantastic location and space can't be beat--especially for night skiing! Sophie was a pleasure to work with--easy, prompt response, and provided many details and suggestions that may be lost on others. She even provided an over-sized binder full of activities and sights to see at the condo. We look forward to coming back again.
We just returned from a fabulous stay at Shawnee Peak and the condo. The accomodations were perfect for families - the kids spent most of their time on the lower level and it was so great for them to have their own bathroom! The entry area was so well organized with racks and hooks and benches for all of the equipment and clothing - it made the end of the day madness much more tolerable. The kitchen and living area are much bigger than depicted and provide a very interesting view of the slopes, both at night and during the day. We enjoyed the gas fireplaces both in the living room and master bedroom - it was a joy to come back to the condo after a long day of skiing. We felt at home from the minute we arrived and were so very sad to have to leave!
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time! The condo was in very nice condition and had everything we needed for a long weekend of skiing. The location, at the base of Shawnee Peak, is terrific for enjoying the mountain. The condo is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Things were exactly as pictured and described and communication with the owners was great. Will stay here again for sure.
This condo is a treasure. The pictures don't do the actual size justice as it is very spacious and slept 8 with ease and comfort. Kids especially loved the lower level living room with sectional and tv. Easy access to slopes to literally ski and out was fantastic for our younger ones that needed a break every now and then. Condo is in mint condition, impeccably cleaned and maintained making it feel like a well kept home. All lines were provided with ample extra blankets and pillows for cots as well. Kitchen and eating area accomodated us all, with children especially loving the breakfast bar and stool arrangement. 2 full baths made life easy for us all and extra 1/2 bath on main living area was an added convenience. Spent some time skating at Bridgton Adademy down the road as well as hitting the cinema pub in town and an amazing sleigh ride through the woods with Beligian draft hourses at High View Farms which can be found online.
A definite must do as the views were spectacular, hot chocolate and bonfire in the woods to roast marshmallows was a memorable touch!!!!
Grocery store down the road makes it easy to stock the pantry. Bring your own towels for the hot tub as that was a fun addition to every day skiing and tired bones. Pack a crock pot as well to make dinner time easy breezy!
Truly enjoyed our stay as well as any and all corrspondence with owners. They were prompt in professional in every way. Would surely recommend to others :)
The townhouse is located at the base of Shawnee Peak Mountain in the beautiful town of Bridgton, in the Lakes & Mountains region of Maine. Endless mountains, lakes and wildlife surround this beautiful area which holds something special for everyone. This can be the perfect romantic & relaxing get-away OR the perfect place for someone looking for action - the options for activities are endless!! In the summer, there is VERY little traffic on the moutain so it is quiet and perfect for kids to run around and explore or for couples to enjoy the hot tub on the sun deck and see the multitude of stars at night; In the winter, you can't beat being slope-side and being able to just wake up at your leisure, and enjoy being able to just walk out your door, put on your skis, and ski away - no more rushing, packing, driving, finding a parking spot and claiming a place in the lodge!! ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN HERE, YOU WILL WANT TO COME BACK!!
Other Activities: Snowmobiling, canoeing
