About The Owner

My name is Tracey, I am married to Vince and we have two sons Charlie and Alfie. We love living in the Forest of Dean so much we wanted to share it! We started to build our holiday let in 2012 and opened the doors to welcome guests in the late summer of 2013. Couples and small families love to come to stay and experience everything available in the local area. We have many thousands of acres of woodland with an abundance of wildlife, the most fabulous scenery and plenty of walks and cycle trails - ideal for nature lovers, photographers and adrenalin junkies alike!

We also have two dogs Mockie and her daughter Ronnie. They are very energetic sprockers (a cross between springer spaniel and a cocker spaniel) and, like me, they both love visitors!

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2013

Why The Owner chose Forest of Dean

The Forest Coach House is conveniently situated on the edge of the quiet town of Cinderford in the heart of the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, south west England. We are within a 20 minute car journey to Lydney train station where you can jump on board a train and be whisked away to Cardiff in less than an hour. You can explore the beautiful Cotswolds which is less than a 40 minute drive from here or you cn simply stay local and fill your days with so many lovely things to do:

Walking, cycling, canoeing or kayaking, pot holing, bird watching, diving, climbing, swinging from ropes throught the trees or why just rela with a picnic and take in the scenery whils you feel yourself unwinding and relaxing?!

What makes this apartment unique

The Forest Coach House really does enjoy the best of both worlds - close to the wonderful forest and all it has to offer and close to town so you're never far away from shops and eateries.

The beautiful royal Forest of Dean extends many thousands of acres and provides an abundance of wildlife, cycle trails, walks and activities, picnic areas, fishing and water sports. The area provides many well established eateries, museums, a diving centre, caves and potholing, climbing activities, arts and crafts and a rich heritage dating back many centuries to when Kings would hunt in the forest. Wild boar, deer and sheep still roam free to this day.
