This location is perfect to enjoy the lakeshore from Holland to Grand Haven. Take advanatage of the perfect year-round vacation destination - beach fun and sun, relaxing wooded privacy, fall color tours and cozy winter nights!
Additional pictures available upon request. Thanks!
The house was a perfect place for our entire family to get together for the week. It is right between Grand Haven and Holland if you want to do something in town, but far enough from the city to feel secluded and quiet. Very quick drive to the beach with multiple access points.
We have stayed in a number of houses up the Lake Michigan Coast and this one is by far the best! The owners were very friendly and accommodating and provided an extensive surplus of amenities while we were there.
The photos far from do the house justice. It is very spacious and has a great loft upstairs attached to the master bedroom. The home is very well-maintained and we would recommend it to anyone that is interested.
I will mention too that they have highchairs and pack-n-plays if needed. We were not aware and brought all those things along with us. It would have saved some room if we'd known. It is very kind of them to provide these items.
Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
I rented this place a couple of years ago and enjoyed it, so when me and my family and friends were looking for an escape to West Michigan, this was the first place that came to mind.
The cabin is located down a long private drive with ample parking. It's set back in the woods, and when you walk out the back door, you see no other homes. The place is well decorated, and comes fully stocked with towels, toiletries, cooking pans, plates, and utensils. The owners have done a great job making this place feel like a cozy home. If you rent the basement (highly recommended), you'll have a total of 3 sitting areas, one on each floor, and each with a TV.
The back covered patio is wonderful, though the sagging fan could probably be replaced (it didn't detract from our enjoyment of the patio). The firepit was used a few times by us and the owners supply a good stock of wood,, and the hottub was delightful when a nice relaxing soak was needed. Several times wildlife wandered into the back yard, including a few deer, and some wild turkeys. My dog loved the backyard and couldn't get enough of it.
This cabin is located between Holland and Grand Haven, so you're close enough to either destination. Grand Haven State Park is a fantastic escape if you want a super nice (but busy) beach with lots of fun places to walk to. Holland State Park can get pretty crowded on hot days. No need to worry, if you're in good shape there's always any of the little county parks only 5 minutes just West of the cabin - you just need to take a few flights of stairs over a small hill and you'll be on the sandy beach with only a few locals around.
The Red Lighthouse across the channel from Holland State Park is on private land but is open to the public Tuesdays and Thursdays, though it's not all that interesting of a destination to be honest. If you have time, take a day trip down to Saugatuck and walk around the docks and main street, then go wine tasting at Fenn Valley Winery not far from there. For something closer to home, hit up New Holland Brewing Company in Holland for some fresh brews and good food.
I've been lucky enough to rent this cabin twice. Ellie and Bill are fantastic, responsive owners and I certainly would rent from them again. I accidentally left a bluetooth speaker in the cabin and they were thoughtful enough to ship it back. Thank you both! It's been a great experience all around, and we'll be coming back again.
I rented this cabin for a girls' week in celebration of my youngest sister's 50th Birthday. It was absolutely perfect! We loved the amenities, which included an outdoor hot tub and a fire pit. While the cabin can sleep 13, we only had 6. There was plenty of room to roam! Everything was provided, except food and personal items, including an abundant supply of bedding and towels. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and pots and pans. I will definitely rent this cabin again, and maybe I will bring my dog, since it is a dog-friendly rental. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone.
We were a family of 8 including a baby and a dog. We rented the extra basement and it was more than enough room for all to congregate and each have our own areas. The kitchen was well equiped for our needs. There were more amenities than even listed online. The owners were easy to work with. We enjoyed the fire pit for roasting smores. We were pleased that the bike path was right at the end of the driveway. The entire area is dog friendly, we enjoyed biking the miles of bike path, hiking at Hemlock park nearby and the beach at Tunnel Park. The drive along Lakeshore Dr to Holland and Grand Rapids is very pleasant. Downtown Holland shops, dinning, breweries, beaches and the farmers market are an easy drive from the cabin. It was a great family vacation and a quiet location. We would return to the area and this cabin.
Our family just got home from a mini vacation at Croswell Cabin and couldn't have had a better time! We went with one other family and the house was perfect with more than enough room! House was very updated, completely equipped with anything you need, and had all the amenities you might need. We took advantage of the big back yard, hot tub and fire pit. House was a great location near beaches, parks and short drives to holland, saugatuck or grand haven. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone! Thanks so much!
We loved our stay at the Croswell cabin. It was a lovely home, very warm and welcoming. We had plenty of room for everyone. The yard was beautiful front and back. The deck was inviting, a wonderful place to relax in the evening. The location of the home was convenient for all of the activities we love to do. Our dogs loved exploring the yard. Plenty of parking for our boats and jet skies. Lots of room for all of our bicycles too. Ellie and Bill were wonderful. We want to come back. A wonderful vacation home!!
Boat Launch 1.5 Miles from Home with Access to Lake Michigan. Perfect for Boats or Jet Skis.
