Pet friendly Les Rosiers is our home and split into 3 parts. Ie: our home, a Ground floor Apartment and this the upstairs studio. The studio is located on the upper floor, with private terrace, private entrance, kitchenette- 2 ring burner, toaster oven, Nespresso machine (takes Cafe Royale pods too) small fridge, electric kettle, microwave. Shower/bathroom, studio sleeps max of 2. Kitchen bed dining area all in one. 100% cotton Linens towels utensils crockery toiletries, etc all provided. Use of covered saltwater heated pool, shared with owners. You have access via outside staircase to the pool. You have a charcoal BBQ on terrace. Access to laundry facilities on request, extra fee. Free parking space. Nestled in the heart of the Perigord Noir Les Rosiers is a 5 to 40 min drive in any direction to all the Dordogne and Vezere valley sights, beautiful villages, night markets, vide greniers, summer music festivals. Surrounded by beautiful walks, kayaking, canoeing, horseback riding too is on the doorstep. A car or bike is essential. Montignace 4 mins drive has everything you need for you holiday. Plus great local restaurants enabling you to take part in the delights of the region eg: foie gras, truffles, cabicou cheese, award winning Bergerac wines, confit de canard/anything to do with a duck. Walnut groves abound and so does the local Vin de Noix,/walnut wine, made by the owner, delicious. Les Rosiers is in Les Bories, a small working walnut farm hamlet. 2mins walk to the Vezere river. The little village of Thonac with its well stocked shop, restaurant and bar, is less than 4K away. Beautiful village of Saint Leon 5 min drive.The charming market town of Montignac and the famous Lascaux II and as of autumn 2016 Lascaux IV caves are just a 5 minute drive/4 k away. The pre-historic troglodyte fortress of La Roque Saint-Christophe a ten minute drive to the South, along the D706 towards Les Eyzies.
You will be spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. The medieval town of Sarlat; Les Eyzies, home to the National Museum of Pre-History; and several of the Plus Beaux Villages de France including St Leon sur Vézère, Beynac, Castelnaud, and Domme, are within a twenty mile radius of the house.
Other wonderful attractions in the immediate area include pre-historic parks and caves; chateaux and gardens; and magnificent castles dating back to the Hundred Years War.
The many and varied activities on the doorstep include canoeing, horse-riding, walking, cycling and paragliding.
There are also many attractions such as an aquarium, a treetop adventure park and a heritage theme park. To name them all would need a book - the list is endless....!
Those looking to experience the gastronomic delights of the region will find a nearby market on every day of the week offering the very best that local producers have to offer. There are many opportunities to sample the fine foods and wine that this area is famous for.

Duel citizen British / Canadian. Born in the UK, lived in North Vancouver beautiful BC for the last 27 years. Now back on this side of the world to enjoy Europe again, what better place than France, Perigord Noir/Dordogne. We love the country life, French culture, food, wine. Parfait!

5 mins drive from Lascau IV art centre and 10-30 mins from all other sites and pre-historic Caves in the Vezere valley. We have the new world class Lascaux art centre Lascaux IV , state of the art technology, centre of the areas pre-history/cave art 4K away in Montignac. Across the river we have the Chateau de Losse 5 min drive, 2 min walk to view, located on the opposite banks of our Vezere river 300 meters away for kayaking/canoeing. Beautiful local market town of Montignac is just 4 kilometres away for Wednesday and saturday morning markets, also for shops, restaurants. Plus in summer Montignac has music festival and night markets, July August.
Additional information about rental rates
Transport essential. Free Parking. No smoking inside the studio, outside on your private terrace is fine. Ashtray provided and please empty ashes into special ciagarette bin under the outside stairs. PLEASE DO NOT EMPTY CIGARRETTES OR ASHES INTO YOU INSIDE BIN as it does makes the house smell. Basically though relax and enjoy your stay join us for a chat over a glass of home made walnut wine.
