Villa with swimming pool and garden in Lequile a few kilometers away from ...
This Villa is an elegant and comfortable two-level house set in an extended ground of about 4 hectares surrounded by the shady Mediterranean garden, citrus and pine groves.
Villa is located in a typical countryside is only a few minutes from the center of Lequile, within easy striking distance of fascinating baroque town of Lecce (4 km) and of white sandy beaches of Porto Cesareo (22 km).
A delightfully restored structure was conceived in order to enhance the luxuriant garden that provides a fitting backdrop to the inviting pool and delimits the spaces making them more functional and efficient.
An elegant white facade of the house covered in bougainvillea and with a characteristic stone finish is a real masterpiece. Entering inside there is a hallway that leads to the living cum dining area with fine windows that overlook the garden. Also on the ground floor is a double room with an en-suite bathroom with a shower, an extra room also with an en-suite bathroom/shower and a spacious kitchen.
The first floor houses the grand suite with a bathroom/shower and completed by a terrace overlooking the garden. The hallway leads to the last two double bedrooms both with a bathroom/shower, one with a double convertible couch.
The Villa is a fascinating accommodation where good taste meets tradition.
There are dogs in an appropriate fenced area.

Nice villa, but drawbacks
Most of the villa was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen however was antiquated and dark, presumably intended solely for staff.
Run down area and very unimpressive entry route, but lovely when you get inside the gates.
Very helpful owner and staff, but the main letting agent was difficult to deal with.
Located in the southern part of Apulia, Lecce is the capital of the Salento peninsula. Thank to the elegance of its palaces, the fanciful baroque style of its countless churches and its charming squares, Lecce earned the title of “Florence of the South”. Its ancient origins are confirmed by lots of testimonials of Roman, Medieval and Renaissance ages even if today the city is mainly known for its baroque. The most significant example of this artistic style is probably the Basilica of Santa Croce: built between 1549 and 1695, it is characterized by a richly decorated façade with grotesque figures and a large rose window. Next to the church is Palazzo dei Celestini, a former convent, now the Government Palace. The heart of Lecce is Piazza S. Oronzo, a square dedicated to the Saint Patron of the city whose statue is situated on the top of a Roman column. Behind the column are the ruins of the Roman Amphitheatre, the most relevant heritage of the Roman age. Within a couple of minutes walking it is possible to reach the most enchanting square in Lecce: Piazza Duomo. Brilliantly merged into a unique scenario, the Bell-Tower, the Dome, the Seminar and the Vescovado ensure an impressive view over the square. The historical center of Lecce is enclosed by imposing walls partly still visible today as well the three monumental city-doors: Porta Rudiae, Porta Napoli and Porta San Biagio. Another important attraction is the Castle of Charles V, a fortress built with defensive purpose but later destinated to other functions such as theatre, museum and, currently, it is the seat of the Cultural Affairs of the township of Lecce. It is worth visiting also the churches of S. Cataldo, San Matteo and Del Rosario. Lecce is also famous for its “movida” through the streets of the old town which has a high concentration of cozy restaurants and trendy pubs.
