Relax in a country house
We enjoyed our stay with family and pets, and Milan is a very cute town!
Old tobacconist inn
Everything was excellent, the property was just what the listing said. Plenty of room for everyone, big yard for the dogs to run , very private. House was clean, and comfortable. Cindy was an excellent host, we'd definitely stay there again.
Cheaper by the dozen.
Twelve of us recently stayed at the property from Thursday thru Sunday and it was wonderful. It felt like a friend had told us to come and stay at their house while they were away. From our youngest grandchild, not 3 months yet, to me at 70 we all had plenty of space to make ourselves at home.
We had all of our breakfast meals at the house, finding the tools we needed to cook with and the dishwasher was the most efficient and quiet i have been around. We cooked out on the grill one night and made smores and really enjoyed the outdoor seating area with plenty of seats for everyone to sit back and relax.
Cindy was very helpful, telling us to use what was in the house and how to use it. She gave us a great tour and shared the history of the house that was depicted by the picture over the table in the kitchen. She wanted us to feel at home and we did.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone needing the 6 bedrooms to get ready for big adventures at Cedar Point and Put in Bay. It served our family well!
It was a pleasure having your family stay at our Inn. I enjoyed sharing the history with someone as enthusiatic to hear it as I was to tell it. Hope the rest of your year is just as wonderful as you!
the property is very good for a large family. We had plenty of room.
The fact the outside was like being a private park. plenty of room to play games with the family. sitting on the porch was relaxing and a nice breeze. Large dinning area and game room very nice. My family enjoyed every moment of our stay. Will recommend this to my friend and other members of my family.
Everything was great
Really enjoyed our stay. We had a total of 12 and 2 kids and a dog. Property was large enough to handle all of us. Outside area was great with circular patio, fire pit and enough chairs to handle all of us. Large grass area in back to set up volleyball nets and dog to play. House was very clean and manager was great. Draw back was only two bathrooms but in spite of number of people we were able to manage. Another drawback was while it was cool downstairs it was hot upstairs but then we found out we had not turned on upstairs air conditioning unit -- our bad as we should have called the manager and found out the location of the thermostat. Place is very unique because of its history and all of the antiques that are in the place. It is conveniently located close enough to cedar point, put in bay etc. Great Mexican restaurant south on 250.
Glad that you found the Inn fit your needs and I apologize for not having both air conditioners running for you when you arrived. I'll make a note of that for future guests. Thank you again for staying and for leaving the property in such great shape. Really made getting it ready for the next guests much quicker.
Historic Milan, Ohio. Birthplace of Thomas Edison. Reminiscent of a rural New England town, the Milan, Ohio retail business area is built around the charming town square which was established as the town's centerpiece in 1867 along with the Solders & Sailors Monument which was dedicated on July 4, 1867. The monument features the names of all 330 citizens of Milan who served in the Civil War. The clock towered town hall was built in 1876 and the Milan Library in 1912. The large picturesque gazebo was added in the 1960's and The Young Edison Statue in 1984. Annual activities on the square include Antiques On The Square in July and the famous Milan Melon Festival during the Labor Day Weekend each year.
