About Alison Perry
Alison and Philip Perry, along with their three daughters welcome you to stay in The Boathouse. We are both local, and have lived and worked in Pembrokeshire all our lives. We were fortunate enough to be able to build The Boathouse in 2007, and have lived in the property for the past 5 years. However the arrival of twin daughters means we have now outgrown it. We have rented a larger house locally and intend to expand The Boathouse in the future to accommodate us. We very much hope you will come and enjoy our property. Thank you The Perry's.
Alison Perry purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Alison Perry chose Lamphey
The Boathouse is a unique retreat in Freshwater East, nestling in the dunes with views of the sandy beach and sea. Coastal walks and breathtaking scenery on your doorstep. Why not bring your boat and explore the coastline, with access and slipway from the beach. Much to explore in the area such as Stackpole Quay, Bosherston Lily Ponds and Barafundle Bay. Pembroke town with its historic castle, pubs, restaurants and shops. All within a short drive. Tenby is 15 minutes away
What makes this Cottage unique
A very short stroll along a sandy path to the lovely beach. Panoramic views of the bay & the sea makes sitting by the log burner all you need to do on a winters day. Beautiful architect designed property. Large enclosed patio, safe for children. Quality furnishings.

Lovely February stay
We had a wonderful time at the boathouse. There are plenty of family activities within thirty minutes drive of the property. The house itself is nice and contemporary with plenty of cooking utensils etc. The beach is down a little slipway and is extremely close, perfect for flying kites and exploring rock pools. The children had a really great time, recommended for families and adults ( though you'll have to share a walk in wardrobe off the master bedroom, no wardrobes in the other bedrooms). Fantastic place 😊 Rich, Leanna, Maia, James and Isla.
5 star accommodation
We visit this area a few times a year and were so pleased to find this little gem!
There was nothing to dislike at all, perfect situation, immaculately clean and stocked with everything you need for a short break .
Unfortunately due to a sudden family crisis we had to cut short our break but without a doubt we will be returning and so pleased to have found this place.
Lovely communication from the owner when we advised them that we wound need to leave early
A beautiful setting in well designed accommodation, close to the beach with total privacy.
Our second time and it won't be our last!
Could the owner consider: Tea towels, a second bin for recycling, washing up liquid. Teflon coating was coming off the frying pan so we bought a new one...which we left. Double bed in main bedroom too hard and squeaking.
Always wonderful to rest here before Xmas!
Thanks for your review. we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your observations, i do apologise, you should have been supplied with washing up liquid and tea towels, unfortunately the cleaners have neglected to put them out. I will also take a look at the bed.
Big Storm no Problem
We stayed in this lovely cottage during a big storm.
We felt safe, warm and cosy. So close to the beach, great place to get away from it all.
We made many memories and hope to one day return to this tranquil place.
Thanks for your review. We love to hear that you enjoyed your holiday.
2 weeks at The Boathouse
My family and I had a lovely holiday at the Boathouse in Freshwater East. We know the area well so it was lovely to stay the other side of the bay! The easy access to the beach made it brilliant for my 5 yr old grandaughter and 2 yr old grandson as well as us 4 adults and the 2 dogs. The house is lovely, with all mod cons and is very comfortable.
My husband was especially happy because he saw the Choughs in the field above the house - the perfect end to the holiday in his opinion!
Thank you Alison and Phil for a really great holiday (even the weather wasn't too bad - we had plenty of quality beach time). Hope to return in the future, if you'll have us!!
Thanks for reviewing The Boathouse, we are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully we can accommodate you again in the future. Best regards Alison and Phil
