This newly remodeled, beautiful Town Home is located on 30 acres of skillfully maintained grounds, surrounded by banyans, banana trees, Plumeria and Hibiscus, this cozy town home is only 50 yards from the ocean. Within this gated community just south of Lahaina town, you can stroll the grounds, swim in one of the three pools (one of which is ocean-side), play tennis, walk into Lahaina town to shop or enjoy one of the many wonderful restaurants, and still enjoy the quiet and privacy of this gated community when you return.

Our well maintained town home is ideal for families but also perfect for the romantic get away.

The large Master Bedroom has a king size bed, while the loft sleeps 3-4 in the two twins and queen bed. The loft is best suited for children over 4 years and adults who don't mind climbing the steep stairway at night! Please see photos and video of the loft and stairway up to the loft. Fully air-conditioned, with three individual units in the master, living room and loft, the house has all of the comforts of home. Once you have stayed in Puamana you will never want to return to the high rise resort model with parking garages and elevators.

You will have parking near the unit in any uncovered spot. One car per visit is allowed please.

After a day of whale watching, shopping, snorkeling, hiking, biking, or sailing, return to Puamana to watch the sunset from the lanai of the historic Plantation Clubhouse or Ocean Pool. The Clubhouse also offers amenities such as a reading parlor, lending library, and piano.

Children enjoy the Dolphin pool and play area, or the Mountain pool, adults choose the only Ocean Side Pool on Maui! Children are welcome at the Ocean Pool but it is considered a "Quiet Pool" for reading, napping and relaxation or simply gazing at the waves.

"Pools" surfing area right off of the Ocean Pool is considered one of the best surfing spots in the area in summer. It is for seasoned surfers. Puamana Beach is great for beginning surfers, swimming or boogie boarding.The beach also provides almost a mile of walking or collecting. Please note that at times the sand turns to pebbles with the tides. This is an unpredictable phenomena. We provide a list of family friendly beaches all over the island. One of the best is 5 minutes south.

We provide four tennis rackets and balls for use at the Homeowners court, 50 yards away.

Bring your laptop if you must, we provide wireless internet with no additional charge. Wireless printer available in the house. We also provide two beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, an array of snorkel equipment and beach towels for guest use.

About Dave and Cheryl Houston

We traveled as tourists for many year to Hawaii, from our home in Half Moon Bay, CA. After staying in a variety of resorts all around Maui we discovered Puamana and never looked back. We purchased our town home so we could enjoy Lahaina for part of the year as our family of 4 enjoys scuba, surfing, tennis, biking and 'just going to the beach'. We love to share this hidden treasure with friends and family as well as with the guests who come from near and far and enjoy the beauty of the area as much as we do.

Why Dave and Cheryl Houston chose Maui

The low rise, quiet beauty of Puamana made us feel so at home right away. From the West side and Lahaina, we can easily visit all of the other destinations of the island. We thought the wind and rain free climate on the West side was ideal. Our neighbors in the complex are great, as are the visitors we meet each time we come.

We feel in love with Puamana, as most do.

What makes this townhome unique

The Ocean Pool is truly unique, the only one on the island of its kind. Watching the surfers off the pool can be an all day activity.

The landscaping inside Puamana is naturally breathtaking all year long.

Sunsets from the Clubhouse Lanai are the best you will find anywhere, and a short walk from your front door. We love being so close to Lahaina town, a short walk or bike ride. The sounds of the birds, the waves and the sweet smells are everywhere. We could go on, but just watch the video or the virtual tour.

Perfect spot to relax and unwind for anyone!

From the very beginning of our booking we had a great experience renting 30-1 from Dave and Cheryl. The communication was top notch and the owners were helpful with any inquiries. We stayed with our three children and the unit was perfect for us. Having the three beds in the loft is an added plus and difficult to find in other units. The location of this unit was excellent as it was close to the entrance and to the beach and two of the pools. Another added bonus to this unit is the lanai. It was private, full of beautiful plants and quiet so we often enjoyed our morning breakfast outside listening to the birds sing. The kitchen was fully updated and had all the "essential items" one would need. The unit also had boogie boards and beach chairs which is a must for our family. The whole complex was very quiet, scenic and relaxing. We loved going to the ocean pool and watching the surfers all day long. We really can't say enough good things about this unit and the owners. When we come back to Puamana we plan to book this unit again. If you want a worry free, wonderful vacation we encourage you to rent 30-1.

Exquisitely beautiful!

From the moment we arrived, until our departure, we felt pampered by our surroundings. Puamana 30-1 is conveniently located on the property and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The lanai is gorgeous. We found it to be very relaxing and enjoyed evening meals while looking at the cluster of bananas growing on the overhanging tree. The kitchen is well stocked and we had all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. The area was sufficient to accommodate all six people in our group. The loft was an area of enjoyment, especially for the younger children. The washer/dryer was a lifesaver. Having access to all the beach gear was a plus as well. My young grandsons, ages 7 and 4, enjoyed the sand toys at the beach. The older child also had a great time using the boogie board.

One of the more pleasant surprises was my correspondence with the owners, Cheryl and Dave Houston. Cheryl was always very personable and responded within the hour whenever contacted. They supplied very helpful material regarding our stay. By the time we left, I almost felt like we were 'family'. I would recommend this unit to any visitor and cannot wait to return to this Maui Paradise!!

Wonderful Puamana Townhouse 30-1, Beautiful Grounds and Swimming Pools

We stayed at Puamana Townhouse 30-1 from April 17th to April 22. We were a family of four adults (two older sons) celebrating our 40th Anniversary! This unit is part of a larger complex which has many units. They have a security gate upon entry and a wonderful clubhouse with a library in it. The grounds are very well kept along with swimming pools and tennis courts. It is a quiet resort which we really enjoyed. This is a wonderful unit that has all the supplies you need in the kitchen. We really liked the upstairs which has three beds! The unit only has one bathroom which wasn't a issue for us! Some of us showered in the evening and some in the mornings. It is just off Front Street which we found to be very convenient to everything. The owners were wonderful to deal with. We would definitely recommend unit 30-1 for vacation stay.

Close to town

Our March stay in Dave and Cheryl's townhome was wonderful. It was my Husband and I's anniversary and we had a beautiful flower arrangement waiting for us when we arrived. I've never experienced such a personal touch when renting before.

The kitchen had all of the amenities from home and the electric BBQ worked great for steak night!

The community is quiet, the pools never overcrowded. There wasn't immediate ocean beach access but that is what driving around the island is for. Drive and explore all the wonderful beaches Maui has to offer! The home is very close to Front St and was a drive less than 2 minutes away. You could also walk or bike but the drive is short and you can typically find parking pretty easily.

Thank you again for sharing your home with us. We hope to visit again.

the amenities at Puamana are top notch. the environment is relaxed, it is in close proximity to downtown. the green space is well cared for. our condo was well equipped, very clean, comfortable and the owners, Dave and Cheryl were wonderful to deal with, prompt and accomodating. this isn't our first trip to puamana and it won't be our last. Mahalo.

Information in the house will guide you to hikes to hidden waterfalls, the Bamboo Forests and beaches of Hana, biking and hiking the Haleakala Crater, (go for the sunrise). Watch the Cliff Divers at Black Rock, see thousands of colorful fish from Honolua Bay or many other local snorkel spots, visit the lavender farm Upcountry or the charming little town of Paia for some wonderful arts and crafts and cuisine. Of course Maui is a golfers dream, visit the World class courses, but don't miss the art galleries and unique restaurants. Information on restaurants and activities available upon request. Regardless of your interest, you will want to return to the aloha of Maui, and Puamana in particular!
