Nice house, great nature. Italy on his best.
The house is ad the adge of a village on the mountain, it has space, comfort. The garden is nice and good for relaxing and to enjoy the view. We were there artthe end of septembre, we had good weather. You can make trips right from the frontdoor by foot and within a few kilometres bij car you have more places to explore than you can see in one week. The people in the villages are very kind, the restaurants are special and the wine is super. And don't forget to take an icecream at the gelateria on the Marketplace.
I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. Many past guests say they wished they had booked more than one week, So much to see in this beautiful are . The village has plenty to offer and all you need. The local people are very kind and helpful, they love to share this amazing place and always make my guests welcome . Hope you will return you in the future. Kind Regards Pamela
After a few weeks of staying in various rentals, Capestrano is our clear favourite – we (2 peoplej can support all the previous comments about comfortable, well equipped, great views etc. Many good books and maps. A lovely town with a good restaurant. Central location for visiting towns and walks in Abruzzo. Highly recommended!
Thank you for your review. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will visit again. You are welcome anytime. Pamela
Lovely house in atmospheric Abruzzo hilltop village
Pamela's house is simply but comfortably furnished with everything you might need, especially a well-equipped kitchen, and things you don't, like stunning views out. Peaceful Capestrano, like many of the Abruzzo hilltop towns, is semi-deserted but is beautiful with a beguiling ambiance and the one we liked best of those we visited (more even than the usual tourist recommendations such as Santo Stefano di Sessanio). There's a great bar/gelateria, a restaurant, pharmacy and small supermarket in town, plus mobile stalls in the market square but make sure you are aware of their opening times and dates. Pamela's comprehensive welcome pack and optional arrival meal provide a welcome supplement should you miscalculate or arrive late, as we did. Best of all is Pamela's care and consideration for your stay. Highly recommended!
A comfortable, welcoming house in spectacular setting
Before we arrived and by email during the stay, Pamela made sure we had excellent information to make our stay pleasant . The house is extremely well organized and well equipped. There are comfortable places to sleep, eat, and relax.
But when we pulled up the blind over the picture window in the sitting room, I actually laughed because I had never seen such a spectacular view. And the mountains and valleys that you can see through the window are full of trails. The rental has lots of books and maps giving directions to some of the trails.
The people in Capestro are very friendly.
I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope you will visit again . Kind Regards Pamela
A roomy and very well equipped house in a lovely village
This is a beautiful area and the view from the living area window is superb - the photo on the website does not do it justice. We had everything we needed and Pamela provided us with lots of useful information and maps before we went and in the house. Capestrano is a lovely old village with good shops for its size and friendly people. As a bonus we were there during the two-day Burgus Lupuli festival. The house also served as an excellent centre for visiting the Gran Sasso Park, the Sulmona area and the coast. Thoroughly recommend.
So glad you enjoyed your holiday and thank you for leaving the house as you found it . Pamela
I am glad you had a wonderful holiday . Sorry you found the water pressure low, this is a Capestrano village problem, I have been told that new water pipes will be fitted soon in the village to improve this problem.
Best wishes Pamela
