Devon is one of the UKs favourite holiday destinations due to the scenery, good food and great outdoors! Join us in Torquay, to tuck into a cream tea, have a go at surfing or enjoy a good pub lunch after a coastal walk. Astor House Apartments are set in an unrivalled spot of Torquay, overlooking the beach and Tor Bay, a few hundred metres from the town centre. The lavish Victorian Villa boasts two contemporary wings, and offers spectacular self-catering apartments in the heart of the English Riviera.

Torquay has its own warm microclimate and offers an abundance of leisure activities, with 22 miles of coastline offering sailing, walking, or colourful towns to explore. Known predominantly for the birth of Agatha Christie, the vibrant and cheerful town of Torquay offers a relaxing sea side break, or a town brimming with activities and excitement.

Most apartments come with breath-taking uninterrupted sea views from our south-facing cliff-top location. The apartments are an ideal base to explore the surroundings areas of the fisherman's town Brixham, or the funky town of Totnes. With new restaurants, bars, the marina and high street shops a stone's throw away, there is something to entertain everyone.

Being perched on the coast just above the beach, you can amble along the paths absorbing the panoramic views of the Bay, and not worrying about taking a wrong turn, you're bound to end up somewhere special! After a day of fun, return to the modern and luxurious apartments, to relax and unwind, or head off into town for a delicious dinner and drinks. Too much climbing for senior citizens

  • 4 of 5

Flat was clean however to have to climb out of the window to enjoy the view was not mentioned..no good for older people five flights at 75 years of age is not good needed an iron lung when we got there.

Great View

  • 4 of 5

Great place with a spectacular view! Situated above several bars and restaurants which a certain amount of fitness is required to walk down to. Ok for us but probarbly not suitable for people with mobility problems. Saying that, we never had a problem acquiring a cab to get down the hill or back up after several libations (between £3.90 - £5.00). Loved Torquay. Recommend Ferry trip to Brixham.

Good view. Need to be fit!

  • 3 of 5

Lovely view and tidy apartment. Decor is required to some doors and walls though.

No mention it was on the top floor and after climbing 157 steps from the restaurants below a further four flights of stairs is a killer! But good for keeping fit.

To get on the balcony you have to climb through a window!!

Great location though near good restaurants and the centre of Torquay. Just needs a lift!!!

Home away from home with a great view

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Astor House. It had all the creature comforts of home and the location was fantastic. It was an easy walk into town or strolling along the promenade and there were a number of eateries nearby so if you didn't feel like cooking at home there was plenty of choice. Would definitely stay there again.

Holiday in June

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in Astor House very much. The apartment was big enough, very tidy, stylish and well equipped. It was quiet in the house. The sea view was breath taking day and night. We can recommend Astor House to families, couples and everybody.
