About the property

Townhome, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Two-bedroom townhouse in the heart of Dayton's theater and nightclub district.Quiet tree lined street accross from park and library. Private two-car garage, and street-level, brick, enclosed patio. Nicely furnished with complete kitchen. Cable and internet hooked up. One block from the Great Miami River, and the Riverscape Gardens.

Outdoor music and entertainment all summer. One block to Fifth Third Ballpark, home of the Dayton Dragons (minor league team). Two blocks from the Victoria Theater-fabulously restored 1800's theater. Also two blocks away is the new Schuster Center for Performing Arts acclaimed as one of the finest theaters in the country, and the site of most Broadwy travelling productions. Numerous restaurants and jazz clubs are within five blocks or less. Across the street is the Canal Street Tavern with live music groups six nights a week.

Dayton is the home of the Wright brothers. Also the home of the Air Force Museum. Visited by over one million visitors a year, this museum has acres of aircraft displayed indoors in interactive museum displays. Trace the history of flight from the Wright brothers to the astronauts. If it's ever been flown in combat, it's in this museum. Other events attracting worldwide visitors are the Hamvention and the Dayton Airshow

One of Dayton's best kept secrets is it's golf courses. They're everywhere, and range from good to great. Dayton has hosted three PGA Championships, the ladies US Open, and numerous other USGA events. The best part is low green fees. Happy to arrange golf at either public or private couses for you. Cincinnati is 50 miles to the south. Indianapolis is 150 miles to the west, Columbus is 70 miles east, and the great inland sea of lake Erie is 180 miles north. The Dayton area is a mecca of bike trails. The railroad tracks followed the ancient trail of the Shawnee, now the bike trails follow the railroad tracks. Ride your bike to Cincinnati if you're up to it.

A Lovely Home

  • 5 of 5

This very cute 2 story home was a perfect place to stay while working for 3 weeks in Dayton. An easy walk to the Schuster Center, bars, restaurants and the Oregon District. Plenty of room for parking, a comfortable living room and nice well stocked kitchen. The owners are also very helpful and quick to respond to any and all questions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
