Equipped with just about everything you need for a relaxing vacation!
We live in NJ with our 3 children. My huband grew up in RI and vacationed in Bonnet Shores every summer. It was always a dream of his to own a little piece of heaven in Bonnet, and we're so thrilled to be living that dream!
Lauren purchased this house in 2007
The first time we saw this house, it was a mess! Dirty, cluttered, and un-cared for, with an unfinished basement. We saw beyond the dirt and grime and saw the amazing potential! With just a little TLC and elbow grease, this would be a fantastic home! The spaciousness of the house was unbelievable! We saw how awesome it could be to have multiple families visit our house and never be on top of each other. We looked at numerous other houses in our quest to purchase, but we kept coming back to 89 Allagash! It truly is the perfect beach house for our family!
This home is simply charming! We immediately fell in love with the rustic beams in the living room and den. The stone fireplace is beautiful! The screened-in porch is wonderful! The huge yard gives our children and nieces and nephews plenty of room to run around! We love to play a game of touch football or wiffle ball with our extended family! It truly is a family friendly, unique place to vacation!
We had a wonderful vacation at this spacious, well-maintained home. There was plenty of room for our family of 6 adults and our grandchildren.
We especially enjoyed the large yard, new swing set, outdoor shower and beautiful beach. We were fortunate to have gorgeous weather, which made our week close to perfect!'
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Twin Willows and another night at Aunt Carrie's. Both restaurants are child-friendly, which made our dinners even more relaxing.
The owner is very easy to work with and available to answer questions in a timely
fashion. We will definitely return to this fabulous house rental in Bonnet Shores and to Kelly Beach!
We love this house! Our extended family spent a week at this home and found the home and surroundings make for a perfect family vacation.
The home itself has plenty of space to enjoy family meals and movies and conversation. There's also plenty of space for curling up with a book and enjoying some peace and quiet. One of the unique features of this home is playground equipment and what seemed to be the largest yard in the area.
The walk to the beach is short and peaceful with beach grasses and chirping birds along the way. We also found that there were restaurants and an ice cream shop within an easy walk.
The kitchen is well-equipped and spacious for an extended family and there's plenty of dining space indoors and on the deck. Every time we reached for something or realized we need a special item - there it was. Even a gate for the stairs to keep the little ones safe.
The owner made the rental process easy and answered our questions about the area and had great recommendations for beaches and restaurants.
We had a fantastic family vacation in August 2014 at this home. There is plenty of space for large families to spread out and relax. The walk to the beach is short and peaceful and there were plenty of features that exceeded our expectations.
We loved that we could all convene for meals on the deck or to watch movies in one of several living areas but also find quiet space to curl up with a book. The kids loved the playground equipment and the large yard. The owners seemed to have thought of everything.
The kitchen space is large and well-equipped. The home is also within walking dispatch of ice cream shops and restaurants (or a short drive).
This tranquil home had everything I expected and more for my family. The house is spacious, clean and confortable. The floor plan is great for entertaining families with children. The kitchen has all the amenities needed to make a home cooked meal. The spacious deck with seating and barbecue made it convenient for nights under the stars. The huge backyard was a hit with the kids and has a playground and plenty of space for soccer, wiffle ball and entertaining. There are board games, cards, movies, books available to use. The outdoor shower was our favorite! The bedrooms were roomy, comfortable with plenty of draw and closet space. The screened in porch was another perk.... Total relaxation after a long day at the beach! This home is close to restaurants, shopping in Newport and Narragansett. Lauren, our host made sure we had everything we needed. Anything we asked for was at our disposal. She informed us on where to sight see, shop, eat... You name it, she provided. This home in RI is an experience my family and I will treasure always
Our stay in Bonnet Shores was unbelievable! This was our first trip to Narragansett, and we fell in love immediately. It is a charming town with plenty to do, yet paced so that you can unwind and relax. Our children were thrilled to be there. As parents, we enjoyed watching them explore the beach and tide pools, as well as swim in the calm waters.
The food in Narragansett was truly incredible. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, there are many wonderful restaurants that will leave your taste buds wanting more! And if you like ice cream, make sure you stop at Brickley's for some of the best you've ever tasted.
What made our trip so special, however, was our stay at this wonderful house. It truly became our "home away from home." It was impeccably maintained and clean. There is plenty of space, comfortable beds, and every amenity our family of five could ask for. The screened side porch with large television was a relaxing place to unwind after a busy day. Our children enjoyed the large yard with swing set and basketball hoop. They especially enjoyed using the outdoor, but very private, shower after our trips to the beach.
With air conditioning, a washer and dryer, and televisions galore, a quick ride to "Stop and Shop" was all it took to begin the perfect week. Lauren was wonderfully helpful and was always a phone call away.
The ten minute drive to Newport is a must! The scenery is incredible and there is so much history there. We stumbled upon a water taxi that was cheaply priced, and we had a captain who gave us a personalized tour of Narragansett Bay and all of Newport's history. Our kids even got to pet a shark at the aquarium there.
Our only complaint is that the week ended and we had to leave! We strongly recommend this property. It provided us with a comfortable, safe, and child-friendly "home." Thanks Lauren for a great vacation and memories that will last a lifetime!
We had a great time during our stay at this home in Narragansett. The house is in a quiet neighborhood within a short drive to the public beach and the center of town. It is also only about a half hour from Providence and Newport which means you'll have plenty to do and see during your stay. As to restaurants, we would highly recommend the Coastguard House and Spain in Narragansett or Trattoria Romano in Wakefield. The Stop & Shop grocery store is also a short drive away in a large shopping center.
The house itself is nice although it was not completely cleaned when we arrived (e.g., cobwebs, dirty bathroom mirror, crumbs on kitchen countertop). The downstairs bathroom shower was difficult to turn on and off at first but we figured it out. Otherwise, the house seems very well-maintained. The description of the house mentioned a pool table and ping pong table but those items are no longer there which was a little disappointing (perhaps the description hadn't been updated since the downstairs bedrooms were built). The house had plenty of other amenities that were much appreciated (shed full of beach items, swing set, board games, etc.). The 4 bedrooms offered plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked with supplies.
The only other thing that would have been nice to have was some information about local attractions/restaurants in the house. We had to go to the tourist info center at The Towers to get that or look through the phone book.
Overall we had a very nice time and I would recommend renting the house to families with children :)
Located in Historical Narragnasett. Minutes from Newport and the famous Narragansett Pier! Within driving distance to Aquariums, Casinos and much, much more!
