This gorgeous property offers great views, spacious living areas, and all kinds of private outdoor places to escape and getaway. All of the rooms in the home have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that invite you out to the private pool, and pond area, and all of the rooms have hardwood oak floors. The living room features a grand piano, a large cable TV, a queen sofa bed, and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace that opens to the dining room as well. All the beds have down filled duvets and fine linens. The master bedroom has a floor-to ceiling fireplace (Please do not use the fire place in the bedroom due to smoke pollution in the bedroom).
The kitchen is designed with cherry wood cabinets, Italian granite counters, a Wolf six-burner professional cook top with infra-red hood heaters, stainless steel appliances, including silent Bosch dishwasher.
This house is a perfect getaway for families or friends traveling together. And would be an excellent choice for corporate retreats and small weddings (event fee applies).
This secluded luxurious Valley of the Moon Estate is located just 8 min from Sonoma Plaza.
Outdoor living: The property offers fantastic out-door living, with a private solar heated swimming pool, ponds, putting green, garden, lawns, large patios, BBQ, two out-door dining areas, one at the pool-side and one under the cool eave and many small cocktail tables scattered around the property. The gated property (Private gate with cable lock) has a driveway that ends with circular area central pond.
The remaining two acres of the property have a park-like setting, studded with native wine country and fruit trees. There is also a herb and vegetable (seasonal) garden.
Location, location, location: The property is located in the valley of the Moon where tens of world class wineries are located, among them are Chateau St. Jean, Benziger and Kenwood. The historic Plaza in downtown Sonoma is just 8 minutes drive. The Golden Gate bridge and San Francisco are 45 miles south (a 50-60 minute drive).
We stayed in this beautiful home for one month last summer with our three boys. The home was well above our expectations and the property around the home was above and beyond our expectations. Our family was able to go out into the property and pick from the numerous fruit trees, fruit bushes, and vegetable garden. We also played golf on the property, explored through the wooded area, and enjoyed many outdoor meals on the grill. The pool is relaxing and has plenty of space, beds, umbrellas, and heating for night time purposes. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is upgraded, and my husband was able to continue running our business via the high speed internet access. The property was quiet and private with a charming long driveway from the security gate to the house.
We were able to drive through town to Sonoma's square in just minutes. The community of Sonoma is most gracious. We felt comfortable at all times. There are a couple of fabulous grocery markets close by where we found ourselves most days buying the freshest organic foods which accompanied our fruit and vegetables from the property. Everything you could need is just a few minutes away.
We enjoyed our tour of the local Benzinger vineyard which is also minutes in a car from the property. There are many surrounding vineyards close by but we chose to take advice from the local wine store on the square where we tasted and bought many wines over the month. We ate out on many nights, found our favorite spots, and became the regulars before we departed.
We took advantage of San Francisco from the property. It was only a 45 minute drive and we loved showing our boys the trams, the pier, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the hilly roads. We also visited many local towns, and were very impressed when we trailed the Redwoods.
I would, and have recommended this property to anybody looking to enjoy what Sonoma and its surrounding towns have to offer. The property is well equipped to be able to have a fun time and yet also surrounds itself with the qualities of calmness that would accommodate people wanting to relax and switch off.
The owners of this property were extremely informative about the property and Sonoma. They gave us plenty of suggestions on where to visit and where to eat. I would love to visit this property again sometime.

I had three days to find a rental home for the weekend. It was my boyfriend's birthday and we were going to host two other couples. This property was PERFECT! I have to say, the description of the property is modest and understated. This property is absolutely gorgeous. The owners were a pleasure to work with (I had no problem reaching them by phone or e-mail). Entertaining was easy, as the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, etc. The location of the property was convenient and easy to get around. Loved it!!!
p.s. I couldn't believe how much time we spent on the putting green. It was a blast.
This is the third year that my family and I have stayed here and we still enjoyed every minute. The house is lovely with all the comforts of one's own home. The pool is heated and 85-90 degrees. The location is superb--just a few minutes of driving to get to the main square of Sonoma with its charms yet sufficiently distant as to be in the midst of countryside. We plan to return again and again!
Excellent home in Sonoma and so close to all the wineries and Sonoma Plaza! Loved that all bedrooms had their own patio door to pool. Only downfall is that we had such a short stay - would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the home more!
We shared this home with several other couples over New Years and had an amazing time. The house is set up very well - great social spaces indoor and outdoor, as well as private bedrooms and enough space that we never felt on top of each other. The outdoor space is amazing, with the pool and putting greens. Our husbands were entertained for hours. The location is amazing, just minutes away from wineries and Glenn Ellen. We loved this place so much we ended up tagging an extra day on. Highly recommend for groups and will be going back for sure!
The quiet property was like a sanctuary with a clean and warm pool, a beautifully appointed kitchen with high end appliances and bathrooms and a laundry room that were very well stocked. We have rented many homes and found this treasure to be exactly as advertised. The bed linens were lovely and the house was clean. The drive into Sonoma was only about 7 or 8 minutes. The owners were amazing to deal with from beginning to end.
This place is very special and exceeded our expectations in its beauty, warmth and leisurely ambiance.
We were so relaxed here we did not want to leave. We highly recommend this place!

Only eight minutes drive south to the historic Sonoma Plaza with its

Drive only five minutes north to the village of Glen Ellen with its
