We found this casita both charming and extremely comfortable. All the necessities of home were provided: laundry detergent, freshly ground coffee, a drip coffee machine and a French press, olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper, all possible kitchen utensils and paper products. There was a washing machine, dryer, two flat screen TVs, a comfortable couch and lounge chair. The bed was very comfortable. There was wi-fi access and a printer available. Rain was predicted; Rita provided an umbrella! The casita is located three blocks from the plaza making everything within walking distance. Rita provided a plethora of information and was always available for assistance. I would definitely return and would highly recommend this rental.
We stayed at the casita Tomas for the month of September and enjoyed every minute. The casita was very clean and cozy; It was like a home from home. It's in a nice, quiet location within easy reach of the Plaza, shops, restaurants art galleries and much more.
Rita and Tom were the perfect hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay an enjoyable one.
We would definitely give it 10 out of 10, and will certainly be back for more.
My wife and I had a wonderful 10-day stay at Casita Tomas. The small adobe house is well-stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, and electronics (WiFi, TV, etc.). Rita is welcoming and helpful with information about things to do in Santa Fe, and she keeps the place spic and span. The casita is ideally located--a 10-minute walk to the plaza and twenty minutes to the galleries on Canyon Road.
This Casita was perfect for our 4-day stop in Santa Fe. It was a very pleasant stroll to the plaza and was in a quiet location. It was clean, cozy and well-stocked with all those essentials that you might forget. It's an easy drive to the Santa Fe National Forest for some amazing, high-elevation hiking trails! Rita was wonderful and communicated well with us from reservation to our arrival arrival. We'd certainly stay here again if the opportunity arises!
My wife and I stayed in Rita's Casita and had just a great time. It is exceptionally maintained and well stocked. In walking distance to the Plaza with an abundance of site seeing, food, arts, and museums. A highlight was to tour and attend the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in the Plaza - a 400 hundred year old historic Catholic church. Rita personally greeted us upon our arrival, and was available with tips and information throughout our stay. Visiting Bandelier National Monument and Los Alamos were both fun and highly educational. I would give it my highest rating, and would recommend to anyone they check it out for a future stay.
Staying at this property was a wonderful choice. It was close to town, clean and homey. Rita and Tom are excellent hosts and provide you with any information you need. The kitchen was well stocked, which was important to us, as we both cook, even while traveling. Every detail was thought of throughout the house.
We were guests at Casita Tomás during the week of Christmas in 2015, and we would echo the other reviewers in praising the casita and its gracious hosts. The casita itself is clean, cozy, well-appointed, and comfortable, with lots of small touches that make it special. The fireplace was wonderful on the cold December nights. We were mainly using the kitchen for cooking breakfasts, and we found everything we needed for doing so. The desk in the bedroom turned out to be handy, as was the printer on it for printing our boarding passes. The living room came equipped with a lot of useful information about restaurants and special events in Santa Fe and the surrounding area. Parking can be a hassle in the downtown area, so the off-street parking space was much appreciated.
The casita is in a great location, tucked in a neighborhood and a very easy walk to the Plaza, restaurants, churches, museums, shopping, etc. Canyon Road is a somewhat longer but still manageable walk. A grocery store is only a short drive away, and it’s an easy launch to the road heading to the ski areas.
The owners Rita and Tom were welcoming, kind, and helpful. We hope we will have the opportunity to be guests there again.
