About Magdalena Beall

We purchased Lakeview Cabin in 2007 because of its prime location overlooking Henry's Lake and the mountains of the Continental Divide. Yellowstone Park is only a 20 minute drive away which we found an asset, not only for ourselves but also for our future guests.

Island Park has a lot to offer - we love to visit the Mesa Falls, and the Big Springs area with Johnny Sacks' cabin is amazing. We recommend visiting Harriman State Park for horseback riding, or just to hike around and enjoy pristine natural surroundings. Fishing is great, not only in Henry's Lake but the other close by lakes and rivers, such as the Madison River, Hebgen Lake, or Cliff and Wade Lakes. You are welcome to read the guest book comments to find out how prior guests enjoyed staying at this vacation home.

Beautiful Get Away

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful time staying in this cute house with the most beautiful scenery all around. Only a 20 minutes drive to the Yellowstone west gate, we ventured to the park during the day with our picnic lunches and either dined in town for dinner or went back to the house and made dinner (full kitchen and grill). Ended a couple of our days at the small fire pit on the side yard making s’mores and heard wolves and coyotes in the distant mountains. Spectacular! Just doesn’t get any better than this!

Beautiful view of Henry's Lake.

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here several times and will continue to come back. Beautifully furnished cabin with an outstanding view of the Henry's Lake basin. Convenient to all the outdoor attractions in the area, Yellowstone, Hebgen Lake and Henry's Lake. Had a wonderful time here.

Wonderful Experience Enjoyed by All!

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful time was had by all! My husband and I brought my parents here for a fun getaway and this cabin and its surroundings did not disappoint. Spent two full days in Yellowstone and took a day trip to Jackson Hole. On our "down" days, we watched movies, read books and took advantage of puzzles supplied in the cabinet. We had quite a bit of snow, but it actually enhanced the landscape. At times we would look out over the beautiful view, while drinking coffee, and it felt like we were inside a magical snow globe. This place truly felt like a home away from home. Everything was clean, well stocked and the cabin is the perfect distance from a variety of scenic destinations. Thank you much!

Beautiful property, great views. Clean and well stocked, made our vacation enjoyable.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed 11 days, so much to see and do. When we first got there it was a bit smoggy from the wildfires. It took a few days to clear out and then we were able to see just how beautiful it is here. We spent most of our time in Yellowstone and the Teton area. Hiked a lot and saw some amazing views. Pretty impressive place to be!! The house was close enough but far enough to get away from the crowds. We enjoyed star gazing and the views from the deck while eating dinner. Having a grill was very helpful. We never got to use the fire pit bc of the nearby wildfires but we had plenty to do anyway. Would love to visit again

Nearly perfect week

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful cabin, in a beautiful setting. This house is stocked with everything you need, and extra of everything you need. We saw the milky way every night, lots of shooting stars, and drove down to Driggs, ID for the eclipse. Might be the best place I ever rented! Will look into your house in Mariposa for next summer. Thanks for everything!!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the time here and the fishing decor was absolutely over the top. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and views plus using the home as a launching pad for seeing Yellowstone up close and personal. The cabin is so comfortable, our week here felt like home.

Thank you for accommodating our special request!

Lakeview Cabin has a gorgeous location, overlooking Henry's Lake and the mountains of the Continental Divide. The cabin is close to Henry's Lake State Park. This world renowned fishery is a trout angler's dream. The park is named after the explorer Major Andrew Henry. Here you can fish for brook, rainbow trout and cutthroat hybrids. Or fish closer to Lakeview Cabin - public fishing access to Henry's Lake is 1.6 miles from the cabin. The Upper and Lower Mesa Falls and Harriman State Park, also in Island Park, are well worth a visit.

You can take interesting day trips into Yellowstone Park. This Park is a wonderland of rivers, lakes, waterfalls, canyons, boiling mud pots and geysers, and is home to wildlife such as elk, deer, moose, bison, wolves, coyotes, and bears, and many birds of prey. Teton National Park, 80 miles to the southeast, is also well within reach for day trips.
