Rancho Wikiup is a fantastic space. Tasteful décor, one-of-a-kind. Original art and handicrafts, board games galore, fast internet. Huge functional kitchen. SO close to sights in Sonoma County. Easy access to groceries, shopping, etc.
We stayed here for a Thanksgiving family reunion for which each guest cooked a dish. The immense kitchen has every conceivable cookware, utensil, tableware, etc. Fully stocked pantry. Extra space to store the turkey, wine & cheese? No problem, with the 2 extra refrigerators. Cook the turkey for many hours without occupying the main kitchen oven? No problem – there's an oven in the extra apartment. Roasting a duck and standing rib? No problem – the large outdoor gas grill was perfectly suited.
The venue could not have been better. The space works really well for doing the ceremony, dinner, and dancing all in one location. It was also great to be able to have up to 15 people stay there.
The place is very well taken care of and it was the best equipped kitchen I've seen. Everyone in the wedding loved this place. It was also very quiet and there was no problem with wind. It felt nice, comfortable and private. Lots of parking. It was good to have the AC when we were there since it was a hot Indian Summer weekend.
The rooms were all great, unique and well decorated.
I highly recommend Rancho Wikiup and we want to come back with a small group and just stay and relax.
We had a group of 10 stay for a few days and we had a great time. The house is well equipped for large groups and the indoor and outdoor spaces are overwhelmingly huge. We really enjoyed the large courtyard and hot tub. Would love to stay here again some time and highly recommend.
Our extended family just spent a near-perfect weekend at Rancho Wikiup. Even when it was raining, there were always fun things to do. Wikiup is perfectly equipped, with toys for kids, a pool table, and a secluded hot tub. The kitchen works well for a big group. Conveniently close are stores and hiking. We held a treasure hunt mostly on the spacious grounds, and it was a blast because three teams could be looking in different places without seeing much of each other. Beds are all comfortable. This is a unique, very special place- it would be hard to find a better sport for a group getaway! We look forward to a future stay at Rancho Wikiup.
I had my wedding here and it was the most amazing experience! My husband and I knew we wanted a backyard intimate wedding in the country and this was beyond perfect. The venue is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen and all my guests are still raving about its rustic elegance! We had about 50 guests, with about 6-8 staying on-site. The owner is a pleasure to work with and we're so honored she allowed us to host our event on site! We hope to come back every year!
There were 14 of us on a Wine Tour of the Sonoma/Napa Valley area. The house was amazing and the owner was great to work with! It was centrally located which we loved. We would definitely do this one again.
Healdsburg and the Russian River are a 13 minute drive. Safari West is a five minute Drive. East on Mark West Springs Drive takes you to Calistoga (hot springs) and the upper Napa Valley. West on River Rd follows the Russian River through the redwoods to the Pacific Ocean.
