All-Around Great Home

  • 5 of 5

I could not have been happier with this vacation home. It is conveniently located to the Biltmore Estate, Asheville Fun Depot, Downtown Asheville, the mall, and several restaurants. Wolf Laurel ski resort is 30 minutes away, which is the only place in the area which offers tubing. The home was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was stocked with plently of cookware, utensils, and dishes. There were 14 of us staying there, which included 6 children b/w the ages of 1-13. We were extremely comfortable and had plenty of space. The view from the balcony is spectacular. This is the perfect home if you want to relax and take in the gorgeous mountain views. The owner is friendly and very accomodating; he was at the house within minutes if we needed him for anything.

Great place at a great cost!

  • 5 of 5

This was a delightful little home we stayed in. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Clean, spacious, had all the amenities we needed - including a coffee maker AND coffee. The back porch had spectacular views and we spent every morning and evening out there enjoying being outdoors. The hot tub was a great perk! The driveway is incredibly steep and the tires spun a few times so we ended up parking on the road instead, which is narrow and windy so that was the only downside.

Yes, there is a gentleman who lives downstairs but we only saw him once entering his basement apartment from the driveway and he was very friendly. Never even knew when he was there otherwise.

George was very friendly and super responsive too, calling me almost immediately when I emailed him with a question before booking the home.

Overall this place was a great location (just over a mile to downtown), a great price, and a great view. I would definitely recommend, and I would stay there again if I'm ever back in Asheville.

This place has it all

  • 5 of 5

We really loved our stay here! It has mountain views, plenty of sleeping space, a hot tub, and beautiful interiors! It was close enough to downtown to be able to make quick food runs and central to so many things to do.

If you plan to do Biltmore, Breweries, and the AT...

  • 4 of 5

Recommended. You can get to downtown by car, or to the freeway to go other places very easily. You can walk to downtown too, if you don't mind coming home uphill and getting a good cardio workout.

Comfortable accommodations for three couples or two couples and four kids (as long as the kids don't fight over who gets the top bunk). Great sunrise view from the balcony.

Owner keeps you informed.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that this is not a resort. It is a great practical place to stay at a good price.

Perfect location for enjoying Asheville

  • 4 of 5

Our adult kids (age 26 and 23) joined me and my husband for a few days of fun in Asheville. This location was perfect for our family since we wanted to take advantage of being near downtown. The house was clean, rooms and beds very comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the restaurants and bars downtown, spent a day at the Biltmore, hiked Chimney Rock State Park, attended a downtown Asheville music and craft festival, golfed while using the house as a perfect home base. The kitchen had everything we needed for the few times that we ate in. We were there at the end of July so it was a bit to hot to enjoy the deck. It would be a perfect place for your morning coffee or evening cocktail during the spring or fall.

A tip for folks staying here - the driveway is challenging and you do need to back in. Thankfully my husband is proficient in backing down a hill and our car has a back up camera. We had two cars and parked one in the driveway and one on the street. And we did see a bear one morning on the street which did not surprise us since Asheville is in the mountains!

Clean, nice location, not whole house

  • 2 of 5

The house was in good condition and was a short Uber ride to downtown and South Slope. The big negative was that after returning from the grocery we found someone, not George, in the basement. There is a basement living space and the guy has access to the whole house. His car came and went all weekend. We never knew if he was downstairs or not. This was not a whole house rental.
