Looking for vacation rentals in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas? Call now to reserve one of historic Eureka Springs most memorable vacation homes... Rock Haus Lodge.
Rock Haus, delightfully reminiscent of a European chalet, is built from authentic Ozark native limestone. Experience timeless southern comfort, Ozarks style, in a true home. We know, it's where we raised our family!
We have thoroughly restored our rock house - artfully preserving the original character while adding modern conveniences for enjoyable country living in the 21st century.
Approximately 15 to 20 minutes away are Beaver Lake and the White Rivers to the west, Table Rock Lake at Holiday Island to the north, and the Kings River to the east. Rock Haus is conveniently located on 25 private acres a quarter mile outside of the Eureka Springs city limits.
For a little eco-tourism closer to home, a quarter mile laid-back walk (or drive) along our seasonal rocky-bottom clear water creek will lead you to Black Bass Lake Park. It features a 13 acre spring-fed lake on 60+ acres and a 2.5 mile hiking trail.
If shopping, dining, and entertainment are important to you as well, you're in luck. Rock Haus Lodge is only 2 miles, 4 minutes to the heart of historic downtown Eureka Springs.
Rock Haus is the perfect setting for exceptional experiences and extraordinary memories.
Rock Haus was our Kline family home until the fall of '06 when we moved out to prep Rock Haus for rentals beginning in 2007. My daughter Sigrid and son Forrest live in Maui. My family moved from Shreveport LA to Eureka in 1992, becoming shop owners for 17 years. I then migrated to The Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce from 2009-2014. Currently on the plate is Rock Haus Eureka (9 years!) ... renovator/partner of Mountain View Apartments ... and 'Mom' to my 12-year-younger developmentally challenged sister Holly. Suzanne Kline / Facebook> Rock Haus Eureka purchased this house in 1995
The Klines bought Rock Haus as their personal home after searching for nearly three years for something just right. Being so close to town, it was perfect for raising the children near their schools and friends. But . . . the privacy and acreage provided a quiet setting, as if out in the country. The features of Rock Haus were unique, authentic, well-preserved, and unlike any other home in their thorough 3-year quest. Suzanne's picturesque, homestead vision had materialized.
Situated on 25 acres on a private road, Rock Haus is only 2 miles from the heart of historic downtown Eureka Springs. It is only 1/4 mile easy walk or drive to Black Bass Lake, a city owned park/lake with a 2.5 mile hiking trail around the lake. Rock Haus has one-of-a-kind, original 1800s architectural features that have been extremely well maintained. With the local owners keeping oversite of Rock Haus, cleanliness and guest satisfaction are at the top of the list.
Thank you for sharing your home with us! We had a wonderful and relaxing time - it was just what we needed. You have put your heart and soul into this house, which makes it a home. The artisan craftmanship is beautiful and your decor is fabulous. We enjoyed it all from the hikes, fishing, reading in the twin nook, shopping in town to quiet evenings on the deck beneath the stars. Your quilts are so beautiful, we bought two at your store to take back home with us! We'll be back and definitely tell all our friends about the wonderful treasure - Rock Haus Lodge!
We stayed at the Rock Haus for my sons wedding in Eureka and it far exceeded my expectations! It was absolutely wonderful. We stayed for three nights and discovered some new treasure every time we entered the house. It has a rustic feel with all the modern conveniences! The house is cozy and spotless and the grounds are beautiful. It made a wonderful setting for wedding pictures. Suzanne, the owner was most accommodating and helpful. I hope to visit the Rock Haus again and I would highly recommend this property to others. Thank you Suzanne for sharing this most enchanted home.
This home is cared for with love and attention to detail even down to the flower plantings at the entry door. We enjoyed everything about it, the keyless entry, A/C controls upper and lower level kept it very comfortable, convenient to a good variety of restaurants, grocery, bakeries, and entertainment. Kitchen was well stocked with all the small appliances, cookware, dishes we needed, bedrooms have wonderful soft mattress's. The dining area looks out onto a private wooded park like yard, where you might spot some wildlife early morning or evening as we did. If you can break away from the charming inside of this home you can enjoy outdoor entertainment on the spacious deck area, or lovely stone patio. Being a seasoned traveler, I'd have to say this is the best kept vacation home we have stayed in. Thank you Suzanne for your hospitality!
we had a blast in eureka. staying at this place was really a one of kind deal. it was a beautiful property that was secluded yet really close to town. we will be coming back. highly recommended.
This is a beautiful property and my boys (ages 2 to 60) all loved exploring the creek and nature at this lovely home! It was extremely clean with every desirable amenity. The bedrooms are roomy and the beds are very comfortable. We all enjoyed the local activities including the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, The Promised land zoo and a day on Beaver lake, but every evening felt like coming home to the Rock Haus. It truly made a spectacular getaway and we can't wait to return! I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.
My sister and I treated our parents to 4 days at this lovely home far enough off the beaten path to give us the peace and quiet we were looking for. It was close enough to town that we could break the day up with small visits in town and a return to this beautiful home. We weren't looking for anything but a chance to eat, drink and spend time telling stories and connecting with our family. Thanks to the owners for providing such a perfect location for this to happen. We wanted for nothing while we were here and hated to leave. We will definitely be back!
I've had mostly good experiences with VRBO, and one horrible experience. This is by far the best property we have rented. The pictures do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated. It is spotlessly clean. Close to Historic Downtown but not TOO close. Quiet and secluded with fun easy walks in every direction. If we are ever able to get back up there we will not settle for anything less. Suzanne gave us the best recommendations for restaurants and we tried each but one. The Local Flavor Café was by far my favorite and my husband liked the Gaskins steakhouse the best. The coziness and attention to detail in this property made us dream of striking it rich and offering any price to make it our own. Thanks for everything, it was a trip to remember!
