Owned the property since 2007 and I can't think of a better place to spend the summers. It's quiet, family friendly and one of the best places in Maine.
Linda A. Fanaras purchased this house in 2007
After years of research in neighborhoods in Maine, Pine Point was the perfect choice. Quiet beaches, great family neighborhood - and a perfect place to relax. Great open space, right near the beach!
Beautiful beach, 7 mile.
Quiet and peaceful
The house is big and can accommodate a lot of guests. The decor was very dated and tired (was even a door hanging off its hinges in the kitchen which we did highlight to Linda). There are a lot of rules in the house which didn't make for a very warm welcome, there is even a fine if you move furniture, which we thought was quite strange. The garden is totally unkept and the grass totally burned from the sun, so not as pretty as the advertised picture. Linda, was very pleasant to deal and very responsive. Overall a fantastic location but the house was quite disappointing. It took 5 weeks for our deposit to be returned, after a lot of emails and confusion.
We had a wonderful week on the Point. This home was very spacious and provided us with everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. Convenient to the beach as well as to Bayley's and Salty Bay.
We stayed at this beautiful 6 bedroom home with several family members and had a wonderful time! It is perfectly located near the beach, fresh seafood, great restaurants and shopping. The rooms are large and comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need to stay home and cook fresh seafood. There is enough room for the older adults to talk in one room while the younger adults socialize in another room without hearing each other talk. We highly recommend this home for your next vacation.
We looked for a summer vacation house in New England for months and we are so happy that we found this one! It has everything....from the 6 bedrooms to the large, functional kitchen. Did I mention that it is a short path walk to one of Maine's Best Beaches (Pine Point)?! Our guests loved the BIG driveway and the fact that we were so close to the Clambake and Ken's Seafood (awesome fresh seafood Restaurants)! Close to the Maine Mall and Old Orchard Beach so the kids could enjoy the Amusement Park or go shopping as it rained 1 day. Couldn't have asked for a better "summer house" right near the beach in my opinion. We will be back Summer of 2016 for certain!!
Enjoy and relax at the beach, and in the evening enjoy delicious dining and some of the finest seafood in New England. Pine Point is located in Scarborough, ME providing the best of both worlds. Whether you want family style, or fine dining, you will find what you need in Scarborough, ME or surrounding towns. This is a great place for family-fun. About 2 hours from Boston, Pine Point provides 7 miles of sandy beach with a family-friendly neighborhood for adults and kids. Scarborough, ME is a perfect location for vacationers. In 15 minutes, you can enjoy Ogunquit beach and walk the Marginal Way along the beach side, shop at the speciality stores, or take a short ride to Old Orchard beach, and enjoy the boardwalk and theme park, candy, games and more. Maybe you want to drive to Freeport ME, about 15 minutes away, where you will enjoy outlet shops, LL Bean and great restaurants. Or simply drive South on Route 1 and find a row of outlet stores. At Pine Point, you will have everything!
Other Activities: canoeing and kayaking
Golf: If you're interested in golf, then you're in luck. Within 10 miles there are several great golf courses where you can enjoy a day of golf. Some of the local golf courses include: Willowdale Golf Club, Nonesuch River Golf Club, or Prouts Neck Country Club. If golfing is your pleasure, you can spend your days at the golf course while the others enjoy the beach. If you want to take the easy way out, consider mini-golf at Old Orchard Beach.
