Sundial - a spacious and modern historic home

  • 5 of 5

Our large party of eight enjoyed the spacious, comfortable bedrooms and updated kitchen. It's location on the beachfront Marine Parade in Lyme Regis places everything within walking distance including restaurants, shopping, buses and convenient parking. Our group loves hiking and fossil hunting so we could walk out the door and very soon be on the Southwest Coastal Path. The house is an architectural gem and you can relax in the evening to the sound of the surf!

Beautiful house and location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Lyme Regis. The location of the house is great, beautiful views and close to shops and restaurants. I recommend setting up a Fossil walk through the museum on your trip.

Return visit to a wonderful house in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This was a return visit having stayed last June. The house was as lovely as I remembered and views just as amazing. Very well equipped, comfortable and some nice additions with the garden and front terrace having had some work on it since our last visit. Can't beat the location to make the most of a visit to Lyme Regis. We found lots to do - great guided walks from the museum. Good choice of restaurants too. Everyone catered for!

A little taste of paradise.

  • 4 of 5

Spent a week here to celebrate a significant birthday. The views and the sound of the sea are what makes this place so special. Sitting sharing a meal and fizz in the dining area is just about as good as it gets. The beds were very comfortable and the lovely big squishy sofas too. As has been said before one bedroom is accessed through a bathroom....not a problem for us but may be for some. There were a few small maintenance issues (hence the missing star) which I have brought to the attention of the owner so hopefully will soon be sorted. Contact and advice with Mark has been trouble free and prompt. In summary we would unanimously love to return (maybe for the next significant birthday).

Owner's Response: Thanks for bringing the maintenance issues to my attention. Front door handle, dripping tap and two radiators have now been fixed!

A memorable property in Lyme Regis

  • 5 of 5

A stunning WARM homely spacious house overlooking the beach and sea right at the very heart of Lyme Regis. A very considerate and conscientious landlord.

It was a perfect place to celebrate a BIG birthday with all the family. We couldn't ask for more - except the grandson to wake up a little later 😊

Food and service at both Hix and The harbour Inn all excellent together with The Anchor Inn at Chideok.
