It was an ideal base for a family get together - a home from home. Vic was helpful, just as he was during our stay 2 years ago. The bungalow is well resourced, with everything you could need for a stay away
We stayed at Amber Lodge again ! It works so well for us we keep coming back.
The beds are comfortable, and the welcome is very friendly. We get a Tesco food delivery soon after our arrival.
The varied properties available here allow us to accommodate however many friends come to join us.
We have already booked for our next visit.
2 families with a total of 9 people stayed in the Amber lodge for 3 nights. The accommodation was not only large enough for all of us but was equipped with everything we needed and more. The whole bungalow was comfortable and kept to an incredible standard. The children and adults loved having the animals so close by and were delighted to be invited by Farmer Vic to feed the animals one evening. We loved having the peacock around for breakfast and enjoyed the eggs that Farmer Vic kindly gave to us. The hot tub provided a relaxation for the evening after busy days in the surrounding countryside. We were very sad to leave and cannot wait to book again for next year.
Just spent the weekend here for my friends hen party, location was perfect, cottege was lovely, we wanted for nothing and having a hot tub was added bonus cannot fault this place will be returning very soon
This is now the third time that we've stayed here, and that says it all really. I'm going to book again as soon as I get back to Sweden. This time we had Swedish friends sharing a few days with us, and drinking a glass of wine on the patio in the relative peace and tranquillity of the evenings after Chatsworth, Winnats Pass, Castleton etc. was pretty magical. We were even treated to sheep shearing this time, and my daughter has befriended the sheep, Vic, so she hopes that they will all be there next summer. This house has become our summer escape.
I rented two properties at this location, the properties were as advertised clean and well maintained.
The properties have access to a large play area and an area with farm animals which is well suited for young children.
This property is well located to take advantage of the numerous activities located in the Derbyshire area.
A maintenance problem with the heating system at one of the properties and an electrical system overload at the other were attended to in a friendly, efficient and timely manner by the owner of the property.
I would strongly recommend this property to family and friends.
