DREAM VACATION HOME

  • 5 of 5

Casa Tortugas is truly the most stunning home/property is San Miguel and made the perfect vacation home for my family and friends!

Everything, from the decor to the upkeep of the gardens and grounds was dialed in. There was no detailed forgotten. Our stay was so enjoyable we barely left the home to see the sights of San Miguel.

AND to make it even harder to leave was Oscar and the staff. They are an incredible team and so thoughtful and attentive and kind and pleasant and talented and warm and helpful... I could go on and on! Oscar helped with organizing grocery shopping, meal planning, calling taxis and Maria Rosa cooked delicious meals everyday.

On the days we were actually able to pull ourselves from the villa we walked toward the jardin which is a 5 minute stroll away from our favorite bakery, restaurants, and the new concept house Doce18. The only regret we have is that we didn't stay longer!

Living the Dream!

  • 5 of 5

This property is INCREDIBLE! We brought 14 people and there wasn't a single complaint about anything! Oscar the house manager is absolutely amazing. And don't get me stated on our chef and the rest of the staff...their all awesome! Everybody was so friendly and accommodating to us.

The house itself is breathtaking. It's over 200 years old and the charm is out of this world. It's like you're staying in a museum with it's perfectly manicured gardens. You're literally a 6 minute walk from the jardin, so the location is exactly what you're looking for. I would recommend this property to everyone.

The property was immaculate the entire time we were there. But it's not like someone is walking behind you cleaning up. It was all done privately. We really enjoyed that.

We seriously cannot wait to get back to San Miguel and stay at this house again. Worth every dollar (or Peso)!!

More than expected

  • 5 of 5

We used Casa de las Tortugas as our home base for a family gathering of 13. We'd seen the photos on the web site but gorgeous as they are, they didn't do justice to the whole compound. A great feature of the property is the number of gathering places available and at the same time plenty of areas to get away from the crowd when needed.

We felt at home the entire week and rather coddled by the staff. Kudos to Oscar for his organization and the personal service he provided and to Miss Rosa for all the wonderful meals she cooked. Luckily we had my Spanish-fluent niece along to explain to Rosa that we needed considerably less food than she was preparing for us. And the work by the gardeners and housekeepers was unobtrusive and perfectly done.

Super house and staff

  • 5 of 5

We used this as a family retreat for ages 3-91 and found it ideal as a place to relax, paint and enjoy SMA. Several blocks from the main square, it has bedrooms to accommodate almost any situation. Even with 10 of us in residence, it was spacious and comfortable. The mature trees and well tended gardens provide great beauty, dappled sunlight and fresh flowers. The house is very comfortable but not overwrought, and the staff are outstanding including the gardeners. Our special thanks to Oscar for your attentiveness and to Elvia for superb meals and chiles nogadas beyond great, and for their special attention to our children! We had a great retreat - thank you! We look forward to returning to SMA and Las Tortugas!

A glorious retreat!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home with spacious bedrooms and a lovely staff. The location was ideal, walking distance to town. The outside area was also very lovely, with several gardens and terraces. Oscar was a wonderful host on the owner's behalf. I would definitely return to this villa and also recommend it to friends.
